  1. Cheers. Will give it a go, record the sound, and do a quick write up. (Yes am starting simple but want to give something back to the club )
  2. My supra is now ready after getting a new front bumper (after the old one fell apart all by itself ) and I have got the bodyshop to hold off drilling any holes for the side repeaters until I choose a new set, as I want some clear ones. Question is - can I pretty much use any type? Can I go to LED ones (if they exist) and use the stock wiring?
  3. Hi All I was about to drop £200 on a nice BOV but then I had a thought - there's already a BOV on the stock setup, so why not make use of it? I am going to disconnect the BOV outlet pipe, and have it vent to atmosphere after bunging up the manifold connection. Hopefully it will make a nice noise! Is this worth trying?
  4. Must be the type of people who prefer to be at work than enjoying a pint with a fellow supra owner! I go to the gym at america sq, very close to me. Could meet up at the slug & lettice perhaps - although I haven't been in there since it changed hands.
  5. We should arrange a mini lunch time meet sometime... obviously cars not present though I'm by tower hill / aldgate...
  6. Didn't see the car, but you work in the City too?
  7. Hi Monkey Mark! I think I have a time that can go up on the list - I drive a stock TT with a 2nd decat and boost controller with induction kit, nothing else on it yet. Reaction: 0.7990 60ft: 2.2751 330ft: 5.8999 1/8 ET: 8.8349 1/8 MPH: 85.39 1000': 11.2769 1/4 ET: 13.4378 1/4 MPH: 108.47 This was at Supra Pod
  8. I have a custom SS exhaust straight from the 1st cat to the back of the car - no muffler. I am most likely getting a CW 1st decat and then depending on how loud the car is, ditching the SS exhaust and getting one with a silencer :(
  9. Oh crap. Did I buy the wrong plugs off you Gaz? (IK22s)! James
  10. Hi All Just done a search on here and no-one seems to be organising anything on this forum for japfest on the 19th May, unless I'm missing something! I am now able to go, but never actually been to one of these things before... not sure how it all works. Would rather not turn up and have to leave my car in a field with everyone else's daily driver Will there be a club presence there?
  11. It's always kids though isn't it!! It was great driving mine back through central london, picadilly circus etc on the bank holiday weekend after picking it up from SupraGaz. So many kids were taking pictures, kept having to look behind me wonder wtf they were looking at!
  12. Thinking of picking one of these up myself, really, how accurate are they? They must be using some sort of black magic to get your RPMs through the cigarette lighter, surely? Too good to be true?
  13. That's good advice, thanks - will probably get somewhere reputable like Turbofit to do this for me, assuming that's the sort of thing they do? Looking forward to doing some mods myself when I am more confident, but these gauges need to go on first really
  14. OK guys seems I am being crap and not realising that only some BOVs come with a kit to install and the XS power one needs welding on. Not my cup of tea at all. I assume something like the SSQV will just replace the stock BOV and use the same fittings?
  15. I have ordered gauges and sensors for EGT, AFM and Oil Temp... can this sort of thing be done by a "reasonably competent" home mech, or is it a pro job? I don't have a welder or anything, nor would I want one *grin* James
  16. ... with fitting kit... anyone? (traders?)
  17. Going single really is the best way to tidy up the engine bay isn't it
  18. You're assuming *I* have a clue I'm much better with computers and things where I don't have to get mucky! My idea is to basically learn as we go along and triple check everything, and use common sense re replacing gaskets etc. We've stripped it down and I think the easy part will be bolting everything back on again, the hard part will be making sure it's all set up afterwards (drive to a tuner VERY slowly *grin*) James
  19. This weekend will see me an my brother installing a brand new hybrid turbo on our Skyline R33 since the other one went bang. Also doing a boost gauge which in retrospect should have been installed a long time ago *grin* Fingers crossed!
  20. Yeah I think I have see you. I see a lot more Supras now that I own one, they've all come out of the woodwork! Still not as common as Skylines though *grin*
  21. Went past you in Penhill at about 10.30 this morning. Was going to wave then remembered I was in the Audi
  22. Hi Drop me a PM and let me know where in Swindon you are. Not sure about Japfest yet - would love to go but I have family commitments that I have yet to weasel out of James
  23. These seem really good value. Anyone using them and can vouch for quality? Don't really want loose ECU wires do I
