  1. I think you're right mate. And I did notice my car looks slightly pissed as the driver's side rear must be lower than the passenger side now, or maybe I just need to lose weight At least it's a good explanation for my creaking and clonking noises... looking forward to a much better ride when it's all sorted as I don't think the suspension has ever been right since I got it!
  2. CW to the Rescue I think! Nic I'll still be going forward with the front upper arms just awaiting some other work to be done on the car, cheers
  3. Had the back wheels off today to clear out a load of mud (about half a fields worth!) Found one of my shocks in less than ideal condition, see photo. The top metal ring is loose and the bottom plastic thing is snapped at the back I think. Is that the shocks gone then? The other side is fine! (pic 2).
  4. Sorry to hear that! But chin up you will get it sorted. I can highly recommend the top secret type 3 bumper from Gaz at Envy, see my garage for pics
  5. I was at Mines a couple of weeks ago and they told me in fact the fuel out there *is* 100 RON, so if that's incorrect I'd be very surprised
  6. ... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=108685 Lets get a few names down here
  7. Hi All I need a set of speaker brackets to fit 17cm speakers into the front doors. Not practical enough to make my own set! James
  8. So VVTi aside, pre-facelift and facelift are the same...
  9. Thanks guys! I know it doesn't mean much, given the timings of the other groups there on Sat (see http://www.japshow.co.uk) but it's a great incentive to carry on my path to full BPU
  10. Just had a call from Santa Pod... It seems I won the Toyota group with my time there on Saturday and they are sending me a trophy! Of course I realise I only have the rain to thank for that, as if all you guys who turned up on Sunday got to race as well my 13.0660 wouldn't have cut it. There were a few other Supe's there on Saturday though
  11. Can someone please confirm/deny if the stock airbox and front duct is the same in facelift and non-facelift TT cars? Really need to get an EPC!!
  12. Hehe, dunno but I'll buy it if fits. I will try and find out and get back to you.
  13. Cheers. The 13.066 was my first run, took the air filter out for the second and got 13.3 something, where's the logic in that... Was good to meet you. Strangely enough I didn't need any introduction... I somehow knew who you were. Perhaps it was the yellow skin and blue pants?
  14. I've beat my entry... 60ft 2.1990 330ft 5.7600 1/8 8.5912 @ 86.50 1000ft 10.9561 1.4 13.0660 @ 108.18 Running Stock Tubbies @1.1bar
  15. Hey guys! Was great to meet some of you. Back home now in an extremely muddy Supra... I camped over and couldn't resist a little drift around the field as we were all leaving. Also have a new number for my hall of fame - 13.0660 @ 108.18mph (1.1bar, 1st cat still in )
  16. Hey all Well, sorted it - the air hose had actually popped off the pipe at the back of the intake manifold. It then fell down and got instantly melted tight onto the first cat. So all set for tomorrow AM, hopefully beat my time *fingers crossed*
  17. Bah! I was a bit quick sending that last message. It seems both tubbies are coming online OK as I'm hitting 1.05 bar from the boost controller, just went for a spirited run down the country roads. I guess revving while car is stationary doesn't provide much boost. The manual gauge still isn't working so I probably do still have a boost leak, I just need to find the damn cable Cheers James
  18. Hi Guys! After a nice time of 13.066 this morning I think I have run in to a small problem. My mechanical boost gauge has stopped responding, but the air line connected to it at the back is fine, so it may have popped off the other end, but I can't trace it. It goes behind the turbos by the firewall, and disappears down there somewhere! The car seems to run fine however isn't really boosting properly, when I rev it it goes to maybe 0.1 bar. No smoking or anything unusual. Would a boost leak look like this or have I blown a turbo?! James... on internet in my tent!
  19. Hi Dave That's a fine offer, thanks! What dimensions would you need? And I assume bond is a technical word for Glue? How thick is the cf flat sheet you'll be using? Cheers James
  20. Hi All I am not sure how to mount my 52mm PLX devices gauge in the car. I'd like to mount it in the clock hole where my 60mm boost gauge currently sits, but it's far too big for the new gauge. Has anyone ever seen any adaptor rings for sale, or got any ideas for me? Cheers!
  21. Everything's on hold at the moment due to last month's damage but funnily enough I had a play with the kit yesterday. Hooked up to 12v on my bench and the display is lovely, really clear and bright, but can't say what it's like in sunshine yet. Once the car is sorted bodywork wide it's going to CW and he's going to fit the sensors for me, then I'll wire in the boxes. Still need to decide where to mount the display though - it's 52mm, was going to mount it in the clock hole but that's 60mm
  22. Was it you I spoke to at the v-power station a month or so ago?
  23. Hehe I know what you guys mean. I waved at a black supe yesterday, I was in my audi. Penhil area if I recall. Should organise a local meet at some point, there are quite a few of us now. Still less common than skylines though!
  24. for facelift j-spec TT, new or used, don't mind!
  25. Yep I am getting the same
