  1. Fairly easily - it required a bit of UNIX jiggery but I think they've released a tool to do it now. It's a software-only hack so no soldering required Apple are supposed to be releasing an SDK early next year which may negate the need for hacking.
  2. Had this is in the wrong section... anyone? http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=128631
  3. Agree, I have had one a couple of weeks and it's a lovely bit of kit! Mine's been hacked to enable the Mail / Weather / Maps etc from the iPhone and works like a charm.
  4. This morning at an ungodly hour about 5am - I was in my Audi behind you on Thamesdown drive. Loved the little chavved up Pug with french plates trying to get next to you at the lights
  5. Hi Guys and Gals Not relating to my Supra's engine but I am sure the principles are the same. My brother and I are rebuilding an EVO 4 engine and trying to do as much of the work ourselves as we can. One of these tasks is to lap the valves so they sit nice and snug but have never done anything like that before. I'm not sure about how much pressure should be applied using the wooden stick thing, or how long to grind for, how long does it take for each valve? Please pipe up if you have any engine rebuild tips for us as well James
  6. Do mines even do an ECU for the Supra

  8. I have the jet, I think - bought in in japan but haven't fitted it yet. Will be doing so this weekend if you want a piccy afterwards?
  9. Loudest? You don't need a back box in that case *grin* I have a custom stainless steel system with no back box, and the 1st cat is still in. How does it sound - http://s168.photobucket.com/albums/u192/gazspook/?action=view&current=Supetunnel.flv
  10. Funnily enough I misread the end of that URL as Giggedy
  11. That's lovely! Do you think they just heated up the original spoiler, and stretched it?
  12. Nightmare mate, glad you're OK though. Am guessing the wife's car sucked in a load of water into the air intake? Ouch!
  13. ... Holy Cr*p! Took the Supra out last night - bear in mind the last time I drove her was about 3 months ago, in the middle of summer, and last night the air was really cold and crisp, roads were very dry also. Gotta love that Winter Turbo, I nearly made a mess in my pants... Have to watch it though - needed to turn the boost down as it was making 1.2 bar at the same settings (with the 1st cat still in)
  14. Guys, FINALLY I have my Supra back. she's looking (and sounding) lovely. However have a slight problem - the driver's door has been off, and now that everything's back together I think the alignment may be ever so slightly out. It's not noticable to look at, but if you let the door shut under it's own weight it will bounce of the latch unless you shut it firmly - never did that before. Also get a bit of wind noise at the top of the window which never used to happen. Is this an easy adjustment?
  15. Woop woop! Yes I'd be up for this again of course.
  16. Nice bit of lunchtime reading Had me biting my nails at the end though!
  17. What do you think - bit of an arrogant tosser, or hero? http://www.wired.com/cars/coolwheels/magazine/15-11/ff_cannonballrun
  18. Seems about the same level of risk to me, surely? And more work
  19. So you need fuel resistant heat shrink - and just in case, it would be a good idea to stagger the solder points, so that even if the heat shrink came away, the bare joints wouldn't be able to touch. Think CW can supply some suitable heat shrink.
  20. Infected Mushroom FTW - great stuff if you're into electronic / trance...
  21. So, yeah, what happened here? Someone "sold" the car that had already been sold to you and the other buyer got scammed? Bit confusing
  22. Yes, and the more shiny bits the better Seriously, it's mainly the location - and the specialisation. Some places I've spoken to about Supras don't specialise in them, but of course will gladly take on the job for payment. I'd rather go somewhere that lives and breathes 2JZ. Just posting on here on the off-chance that there's a gem hidden away in the depths of Wiltshire that I don't know about
  23. As above, really. Went to his place yesterday to get some work done on my Evo's block and I'm always impressed by his advice, and premises - plus he's very local for me. Are there any Tuning shops with a similar reputation in the south west that do Supras? Or is it CW all the way (including engine works) James PS After just one week the car he crashed at Castle Combe is completely gutted and just a shell
  24. I used to watch eastenders, holby city, casualty, mostly out of habit. Went off to japan for 2 weeks, with no sane TV, and when I came back, I just didn't bother. Deleted everything off my PVR and now I will watch a film maybe once a week, but no more soaps. It's a lot more fun to disappear off in to the garage in the evening, anyway
