  1. Duhh, I didn't see your location! I picked mine up from Super Autobacs, the one near tokyo bay.
  2. Excellent, glad to hear it. Where have you / are you mounting the button? Mine's just a button on a cable now until I decide on something more permanent. I didn't like the look of the shifter mounted button that came with the kit.
  3. The problem I have is then people will be expecting something better than the 12.5 seconds I'll be running
  4. Yep - hence the coin slot! That being the joke and all.. Sorry, I know, I'm crap...
  5. Yep, I'm have RLTC going on next week with LC, Admittedly the Line Lock was an impulse buy off here (never browse Parts For Sale after 2am when drunk ) but it's very effective for burnouts, which is in itself an expensive problem
  6. Not sure TBH - maybe not to "launch" the car (stock clutch!!) but perhaps to prevent rolling forward when I get the biting point. Like a handbrake that releases really quickly. That said, I don't pretend to actually know what I'm talking about, so if drag pros want to tell me how it's done then great
  7. I have a Works Bell Rapfix II kit with my momo - I love it, but they are NOT CHEAP. I hand carried mine back from Japan and it cost more than the steering wheel itself. The engineering is amazing though - feels very solid when it's on, and requires almost no effort to lock in to place. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=114613 You can get them imported through Newera (http://www.neweraparts.com/Default.aspx?tabid=54&List=0&ProductID=413) or maybe give Nic a shout? Makes accessing the dash so much easier too
  8. OK... now that the kit has been fitted and I've test wired it in, I now know what I need to use to activate it...
  9. Hey mate did you get help with this? Mines sorted now and I can send pics if needed
  10. As you may have noticed I haven't been on here in a while due to work commitments (90 hours last week) it's been absolutely crazy. Burna, I'm sending you your bits today to be with you ASAP. Sharpie, you've already have your refund. I didn't actually know there was a dispute thread opened regarding this until another forum member told me about it on the phone just now! I would have thought having a dispute opened would have at least sent an automatic email or PM to the affected parties. Can the mods investigate this? That said, yes it's an unacceptable delay on my part and I'd like to offer my apologies to you both. James
  11. I have now, yes they do them. £107 each delivered but not fitted so that sounds like a plan, cheers!
  12. I currently have 4 x Eagle F1s on the car, but they all need replacing. I already have 2 new Eagle F1 GSD3's for the rear to be fitted, but I can't find the same tyres for the front now. Fronts are 235/40/18 and rear are 275/35/18. What should I go for on the front, or can anyone recommend somewhere to get GSD3s in the size - blackcircles are a no go
  13. As some of you know, myself and a few friends took a trip to the Isle of Man at the weekend, and all I can say is that it's well worth the trip. The highlight of the island is of course the TT course, which is made up of public roads - so it can be a little annoying when you're stuck behind a small car doing 40 on an un-restricted road, but there are lots of places to safely overtake. My favourite part of the course would be the mountain part, from the hairpin corner to Creg-ny-baa. Some of the views are stunning and the roads are amazing, especially for someone like me who's never had any track experience or pushed the car really hard. It's an amazing feeling doing 120+ mph on a public road, totally legally. I'm impressed as to how well the Supra took the corners, too - I didn't even have any close calls or back end slippage and I put this down to getting the car prepared in time with a CW geo setup and not being silly with the loud pedal! I was able to keep up with the scooby and evo in our group, no problem. While we were out there we met up with some guys from scoobynet and SIDC, and of course dani_r from here with his Supra. The scooby guys were really friendly and we had a blast over the mountains with some stops to have a chat along the way. I was a little worried about getting on and off the Ferry with a lowered car, but it wasn't too bad at all. A little bit of scrapage on the way in, but nothing serious. Accommodation wise we stayed here: http://www.iomfarmholidays.com/ Highly recommend these cottages, plenty of parking and nice people too. The other thing that made the holiday go really well was equipping each car with PMR radios, a must for small convoys! Here are a few pics but I'm at work on my GPRS connection and haven't been able to upload many yet.
  14. It's the industry standard for virtualization, not much more can be said
  15. Lovely car, and welcome to the club! I'm not sure about getting into the 11's though on BPU though
  16. Spend the extra for full standalone, it's worth it - especially if there's a chance you'll want to go Single one day...
  17. For j-spec facelift TT, cheers
  18. Anyone selling some hybrids? Seriously though that comparison curve is interesting, talk to me about torque
  19. Hehe yep, that's all up to date now. I'm basically half way to going single, all I need is the turbo itself
  20. Ryan.G wanted me to post the power curves from last night. I've officially maxed out my j-spec tubbies now, so no more engine mods allowed until I go single! Note that you won't be able to get these curves from a stock ECU so just a reminder that this is mapped TTC mode. Really happy with the power figure and the real world performance of the car now, bring on RWYB!
  21. Am going up there with 4 other jap cars, anyone else going to be there? Long shot I know
  22. The thermostat has been changed and the system is running a whole 10 degrees cooler now, even without re-sealing. Just FYI if anyone searches for this.
  23. Just in time for my trip to the Isle of Man I've had a new exhaust fitted in place of my old "system". I call it a system but it's more of a drainpipe - see the first pic. It sounded gorgeous, but would have been too loud with the first cat removed. I chose the Tanabe Touring Medalion system based on a recommendation from Chris W and reading the Tanabe site itself, but wasn't able to find one in the UK in time for my trip, until colsoop came to my aid. He sold me his brand new system that he imported, and was yet to fit. Cheers mate Had it fitted at Interpro as I needed some other things doing, and it's been fitted very well - Jody T commented that it was one of the best fitting systems he's seen on the Supra. I'm not in a postion to record the sound yet, but it's very nice so far. Nice and quiet on idle, but with the same Supra warble that I love. Can't say what it's like on boost yet until my mapping session with Ryan tomorrow! Anyway, on to the all-important pictures
