Good point. The reason that I have it is that it wasn't working well on my brother's motorbike. It seemed to work OK last night during testing though, but I wasn't going all-out:)

I have acquired one of these with a "robocam" style camera that's supposed to be head-mounted (for security work, or something) that I am going to use in the car. The camera quality doesn't seem brilliant so I am thinking of replacing it with something else, whilst keeping the AV500 bit which is quite neat. Can anyone recommend a camera that works with this?

Thanks guys I am still half knackered and half buzzing from today. Scared myself a few times with an unscheduled drift around Quarry corner but all was under control. It's now my favourite corner Yep - well the update so far is they are sitting on my floor looking pretty! Still not sure what the plan is but I did find myself wanting more power today on the track so we'll see. Erm, yep - am thinking of setting up a direct debit to castle combe, plus another one to CW for brake pads

Had my very first track day today, at castle combe. The car performed so well, in dry conditions, rain, hail, everything. I counted 7 cars spinning out in front of me but I didn't spin out once. RLTC really was doing it's job and I probably would have been stuffed without it Used a whole tank of v-power though and even had to come off my 7th session early due to lack of fuel so taking a jerry can next time! Highly recommended day out!!

Well, looks like it will be raining for my 1st ever track day at CC tomorrow! Any hints for preparing the car? I don't know if I should run normal tyre pressures or what Starting to panic now :D

Yeah, he said that he wasn't thinking straight else he might have tried something different, but hindsight is always 20/20! Although if I'd heard noise downstairs I'd have either taken down a baseball bat or a gun

A colleague of mine woke up yesterday to the sound of footsteps / keys jangling around. He went downstairs and saw a thief hooking his car keys off the hook through the letter box with a stick. He didn't get there in time and they got away with the keys. He opened the door to confront the guy,who was wearing a balaclava - he had a brick in his hand and said you can either let me leave or get this brick in your face, so he had to let him get away with his golf gti. I know this has probably been said on here before, but be VERY careful about leaving car keys near your doors!

I'd give the company he works for a call, if he was actually wearing that vest at the time and let them know what happened. Just ask them if he's allowed to do that sort of thing while representing their company

What a nutter! I wouldn't be surprised if he's already known to the police if he's acting like that. But as you say, any "evidence" he hands over will implicate him as well, and most likely end up in the bin

My mate's decatted FTO is LOUD and he managed to scrape through a 100db test at castle combe last month, so I think you'll be OK at 105db but best to get it checked first -
I have the two Supras and the Audi at the moment (plus the Fazer of course) and parking is becoming a right nightmare for any guests

Re the parking - hotel secured valet parking (hope they are OK with lowered cars!) Once I'm there I won't be doing any driving, it's basically the trip up there which I want to enjoy. Now I just need to find my northern phrasebook:)

Have a trip to Leeds tonight for 2 nights (for work). Do I take the Audi and be sensible, or give the Supra a nice 400 mile round trip? I know what I should do but...

My main decision is if I do want my main car to be a monster... I guess what it all boils down to is will I be able to take these turbos and create a nice "all-rounder" of will it be drag strip only
