  1. I've drawn the short straw and have to babysit my servers on the 12am to 6am shift! Been up all day too
  2. Thanks guys! Will probably take a couple of goes to get a feel for it so I hope the clutch lasts
  3. I have a couple more gadgets in my car since I last went to Santa Pod... and I would appreciate some hints on how best to use them! I have RLTC with Launch Control and a Line lock kit (sadly still on a stock clutch though ) However I'm not sure how best to use these for a good launch! Where should I set the launch control rev-limit? I've set it at just over 4k so that the car is on boost for launch, but I still get wheelspin. This is with the RLTC set to Dry mode. Any ideas from the experts?
  4. Erm just following on from this - I have a 3bar GM MAP sensor that was being used by the Motec. Can I use this sensor with the stock ECU or will the voltage range be different?
  5. Thanks mate that would be much appreciated
  6. I have the stock sensor already - but found today that I also need the connector. Doh!
  7. Good point. No MAF on a '94 TT. Well hopefully that's the issue then! There's me thinking the MAP sensor would only be important on boost but you're quite right.
  8. Hey all I've been performing some major surgery on my MoTec'd Supra reverting it back to stock. Engine wiring loom is soldered back together again and she does start, however she stalls after a few seconds of the idle speed dropping. The only thing that I believe is wrong at this stage is that I haven't got the stock MAP sensor connected up yet. Could this be the cause of my issue?
  9. Nice one mate, good result! I think our cars must have been production-line buddies - with your run of 13.066 at the pod which is dead on identical to my best time last year! Shame you won't be there in this car on Saturday - mine hasn't been on the strip yet since I went PowerFC and put the 650's on.
  10. Me too... so much so in fact that I'm "working from home" today
  11. Excellent Nice looking car! I was up just for the evening to visit my brother who was staying. Would have stayed myself but far too much work to be done at the moment! James
  12. As I was coming in to the camp site a boy of about 10 or 11 shouted at me "Nice Supra - Is it twins or a single?" He then says his dad has a Supra and I saw you leave site a while later. Silver Aerotop and sounded like a tubbie...
  13. Fair play looks like you've done a great job.
  14. I'm guessing Lancaster still don't insure turbo cars?
  15. Cheers mate and good luck with your other projects. I know I've found your tech notes very useful
  16. You know you want to! *grin*
  17. FYI my Tanabe got 94db at the sound check at 4.5k rpm at castle combe. Doube de-cat on 650cc's too.
  18. Funny that they still can't afford proper clothes

  20. Paid Any idea how strict they are about helmets though? I already have a perfectly good helmet (a motorbike one) that was fine for Castle Combe...
  21. Cheers mate I agree solid state is the way forward
