  1. *hop* can't wait now! Anyone coming past Swindon at 7am ish on the day?
  2. I'll check that out, thanks. I haven't looked under the bonnet but the way it's acting it's as if the control solenoid isn't doing anything... does that sound about right?
  3. Guys, A mate has an AVC-R and he's struggling to make boost. It's been set up for the car in the past so all the sensors are wired in. Trouble is, he can't seem to get past stock boost. We cranked up the Duty from 42% to 60% right across the rev range and it made no difference. Anyone got any ideas as to what we should be checking?
  4. Something just fell off the underside of the car, and started clattering about (scaring me crapless) After taking a look and panicing slightly thinking it was some sort of oil feed, I now think it's the temp sensor for my non-existant 2nd or 1st cat. Can someone confirm? Also since I am running Apexi PowerFC and not stock ECU can I just cut the bugger off?
  5. I second the Tanabe. I made 92dB at 'combe last time which is just above a mouse sneezing, or something
  6. Useful site for these questions http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/
  7. Mmmm... non v-power fuel in the sticks of Wales, am definately stocking up on v-power
  8. Brilliant, just take it easy you don't want tears on your birthday
  9. Don't sweat it mate, my first track day I just turned up with my car and a helmet. Had a great time and didn't need anything else!
  10. Chris that's crazy I've done 4 spare wheels and tools, that was without a passenger. No idea where the fuel would have gone I plan to buy 2 x 20l jerry cans this weekend which should be enough to get me out of trouble. My first trip to castle combe I managed 7 sessions on a tank, last time only 5. No additional mods on the car, I must just have been driving harder.
  11. Cheers guys, am thinking of taking a couple of jerry cans too just in case
  12. Woo! Not long to go now, and I just realised I grew up very close to this circuit in Cowbridge. What are people doing about fuel? Is there a v-power nearby? I had to cut short my last castle combe day due to lack of fuel
  13. I also use an Xbox as my primary media centre. Chipped it myself and upgraded the hdd to 120GB, however the way I use it now the HDD is not needed. I stream all off a samba share as well. My next project may be to try and get the damn thing to run more quietly though
  14. No let me assure you they are Fresh and extremely yummy. They look just perfect I think it's my camera flash made them look a bit funny! I wish I had some weighing scales though, I want to weigh one (or ten or so) buttons and work out how many are in the box! EDIT: Apparently they weigh just under a gram each, so my box contains 8400 buttons, or a total of 42,000 calories
  15. Oh god someone please lock the box away, I have no self control and feel ill
  16. The new tesco sits opposite the leisure centre which is still there and operational as far as I know. My back garden of my house there backs on to the new tesco car park which used to be a field for my cat, back in the day
  17. When people visit my house the *must* take away a bag full, I am going to have to insist on it now
  18. As a thank you for doing some DIY, my friends bought me a box of chocolates from the Cadbury's factory staff outlet shop in Bourneville. Pics attached
  19. Erm that's weird, they were there a couple days ago, but I can't see them any more either. Had some work done there last week so as a company they are still around
  20. TBH I don't know all that much about bikes. Being quite a big guy though I've tried the seating position on a few bikes and it's really on the big sports tourers like the blackbird that felt comfortable. Don't know much about the Ninjas but the 'bird is much heavier - I think the ZX10 is more of an all out sports bike?
  21. It's a Honda CBR1100, aka the blackbird, quite a serious bit of kit. It's 10 years old but like the supra, doesn't look dated at all
