  1. Agreed and I'll replace the fronts too when they go. Cheers
  2. Guys, Need new rears to pass MOT and for Llandow. Was thinking of buying 2 x Toyo R888s and leaving the fronts as-is - Goodyear Eagle F1s. Will this be OK or am I being stupid?
  3. I need new tyres for this - which should I go for? I've normally gone with Goodyear Eagle F1 but fancy a change to a more "track" tyre. I don't need cutting edge performance as my driving ability probably isn't good enough to take advantage though
  4. Found some nice pics online of this! http://www.imagination2image.co.uk/view.php?path=%2Fjapfest%2F2009-05-16-JAPFEST-Track+Sessions+%28chronologically+sorted%29&pid=737 and you can click next a few times. Course you may find your own car on that site too
  5. Am in Swindon, what part of the county formerly known as Avon are you in? I'm sure there are closer members though
  6. Yey! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8061031.stm
  7. ebay? not sure it's MSA approved though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F110391213974%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38%26_nkw%3D110391213974%26_naf%3D1%26_fvi%3D1&item=110391213974&_rdc=1&viewitem=&salenotsupported
  8. If I didn't have the Supra I'd probably have a Toyota GT4
  9. I'm going to Supra Pod but wasn't going to sign up for the drifting, as I don't want to eat tyres. I never thought of using it for practise in that way though, could be a good plan!
  10. Hehe, yes, that one last year was somewhat worse! Definitely need more practise and instruction methinks.
  11. I'm paid up but can I sign up my 2 friends? (not on the forum) Adam drives a GT-4 and Lee has an FTO...
  12. Well done and good luck!!
  13. Had a good time too, had my time on the track which was fun apart from spinning off at one point. Didn't really see any of you lot apart from Homer!
  14. Thanks Chris, it's all about learning and advice like yours is much appreciated
  15. You may have a point there Chris. I had been taking this corner in 2nd previously, but tried 3rd this time and may have tried to change back to 2nd half way through.
  16. Yes I only saw how close that was after looking at the video. Fresh pants!
  17. Well assuming the video is working it's just me spinning off the track at caste combe!
  18. If anyone got any footage of this outside the car (down by the Esses I think it is) then let me know! I seriously need to get on a skid pan now and practise controlling a slide as this is the second time it's happened. Doh!
  19. Nice looking bike! I was at George Whites yesterday kitting out the misses (she now likes the blackbird as it's faster than the supra) and we saw a leaflet about this: http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/kneesliders/117850-help-heroes-poker-run-30th-may.html I know you're local - ish - so maybe you'd like to join in?
  20. I don't think you'd need much else to be honest, the turbos will bolt on and the kit includes a downpipe. I suspect you'd need flexilbe oil lines making up and obviously some custom piping from your intercooler but the person fitting it will be able to advise you
  21. *bump* As I now have a wedding to plan for it would be good but not essential to shift these. £1500 if you can collect *grin*
  22. Just spotted this as malmesbury is just down the road from me, and I grew up in brinkworth where my parents still live. May see you about sometime
  23. Hey guys I am back now with a fully restored internet Was a great trip and it was really good meeting up with Dan and his mates. Am assuming thinkinggrenade is one of you guys! Once I've settled back down I'll have some video footage up from the trip as well. My favourite part of the TT course has to be the mountain section but for some reason my passenger is not too keen!? There are some amazing views that I was able to enjoy when stuck behind slower traffic (like repsol bikes *grin*) Next year I have the dilemma - supra or blackbird? I'd love to go there on the bike one day to enjoy the course at a sensible speed but I know I'd miss the supra!
  24. That was me - on the way back from the Isle of Man with my friends! I spotted your car way back before the 50mph limit area and tried to get to you. Didn't know who you were either and was pleasantly surprised when you pulled away. some nice noises from you car and it looks good too. I figured you were running some good power when I spotted the big FMIC *grin*
