  1. What's the numbers if you don't mind sharing? And long do they lock you in for?
  2. If they can afford to give you a console totally free then you must be paying too much per month. Just get a cheaper contract
  3. Well sounds like you all had a great time. Gutted to miss it especially since my back feels OK now, I was totally immobile on friday night!
  4. Well done mate that's an amazing run. I see you were doing your burnout in 2nd gear, I've never thought of doing that! Gutted I couldn't be there
  5. Arrggh! After all my stress of getting tyres and wheels etc - I can't go. I pulled my back out last night lifting said wheels in and out of the back of the car. Felt fine this morning but noticed a bit of an ache at work at 11am. 1 hour later I'm on the floor on my back in agony waiting for the paramedic to arrive with lots of nice drugs... and managed to get into my mate's car and get home. So if anyone wants my place tomorrow PM me in the next hour or so and it's yours. I don't want any money for it. Hope you all have a great time fingers still crossed for the weather!
  6. There must a quicker way of doing this. Currently for a drag launch I have to... 1. Twiddle the knob all the way to the right until the display reads 25% then press the knob to turn TC Off 2. Burnout 3. Twiddle the knob all the way back to the percentage I need, then hold the button down for a "few seconds" to enable launch control. Anyone know if there's any better way of doing this?
  7. Hehe wheel nuts are like buses! Thanks for the offer guys. I think I am sorted now but will confirm tomorrow. M5W could you perhaps bring them anyway? Always good to have a plan B!
  8. I used a local chap who does wheels, however he had to outsource as the job was too big for him. Cost £75 per wheel all in. Dented Pride - http://www.dentedpride.co.uk/ They look even better with tyres on!
  9. Argh this weather is not doing anything for my stress levels!
  10. Yep I'm at Supra Pod I'll be the car with silver 18" alloys at the front and black 17s on the rear
  11. I've taken a risk spraying black, it might look pants on my grey car but they are only gonna be used for drag so what the hell
  12. I know. I got them from eBay - nice chap in Wales was selling them. He had just given up racing cars after 24 years and his quote was "I enjoy my cars but I don't wash them". I dread to think what condition his supra was in but he'd already sold it.
  13. See my previous thread - getting wheels professionally sprayed is like getting a new set
  14. Acid bath overnight, sandblasting and then painting. Done by a pro though not me!
  15. Bought some stock UK wheels for the 'pod. Let's just say they weren't in brilliant condition. But take a look at them two days later!
  16. I'll be taking Branners up on his offer - but still want to source some to keep so if anyone has, please let me know!
  17. Wheels - still at the refurbishing place Tyres - stuck on a boat en route to birmingham Wheel nuts - gonna borrow on the day (Cheers Branners) Stressing now
  18. Ah brilliant Well I would like some permanently but plan B would be needing them just for the day since they will be for my 'pod wheels. If I can't source any in the next couple of days can I take you up on your offer?
  19. iPod touch + basic Nokia smartphone with Wifi = best of both worlds. I get all the apps of the iPhone plus the internet access while paying £20/month for 1000 texts, 600 minutes and unlimited data. OK it's two devices to carry but I do find texting directly on the phone much easier than the virtual iPod keyboard.
  20. As above, PM me if you have 10 or even 20 available. Only caveat is that I need them by Supra Pod - or maybe have them brought to Supra Pod James
  21. Hey I think I need 10 of these - I have just picked up a set of 17" stockers for santa pod, and the wheel nuts I already have are tapered on the end and I don't want to risk it. Can you help me out and and see if you have 10 left? Cheers James
  22. I've had a couple more of these calls last week. I tried to ask a few more questions this time and the company calling me were calling on behalf of a bike insurance firm that I do not have insurance with. I think what is happening is that when you fill in a car/bike insurance quote form online all this information gets sold, and if you've said that you've had a claim, these companies then sell your details to 3rd party ambulance chasers. So - moral of the story is only go to reputable insurance brokers online and read the T&Cs before filling all those boxes in!
  23. Me and the Missus were in alum chine at the weekend but not in the Supra. There was a funky looking kitted supra with TRD decals all over it. Also did see a black kitted supra but they were parked up both times.
