  1. yea i figured that, but i thought that any restriction would surely be a bit better than totaly blocking them off as there would be no flow through the areas in which it would usually pass to meet up with the matrix
  2. i see what you mean i might put a small crimp in the copper pipe then to act as a bit of a restrictor
  3. so a bit of 10mm copperpipe ant two jubilee clips should do the trick for a bit until i can source a new matrix. does any one know the best place to get a new one from. il get some new pipes too then ive got the peace of mind then that it has all been done
  4. whats the main aspect of the matrix that fails is it just a seal that gets worn or is it the casing or something else like that.
  5. cheers fella, that looks destructive but im up for any thing
  6. do you know where the guide is on here
  7. if it is my matrix how much am i looking at for the unit and would i be able to fit it my self to cut labour costs as im pretty good at that sort of stuff i try and do all the work on my car myself apart from major stuff like clutches etc...
  8. well ive checked my footwell last night and there was no dampness at all so i guess ill just have to grit my teeth and wait for it to happen unless there is any way of stopping it. is there any way of bypassing it so i can drive round with no heater as i cant use my mums car for ever and without it i cant get to work to make the money needed to fix the problem if you can see where im going
  9. they were the words ive been dreading "not cheap". ive not checked the foot well yet as ive driven my mums car today im going home in about 30 mins so ill have a look then. if it is my matrix is there any tell tale signs that i should be looking for
  10. I'm getting a funny smell of coolant coming in through the heaters when the car has been running for a sufficent amount of time to let the coolant get up to temp. the windows fog when the windows are up and the windscreen wont de-mist on full fan, so i have to drive with the windows down to clear them. its as though there is steam coming into the car through the heaters. my temprature guage doesnt seem to be affected by it. Is it something to do with my heater matrix or could it be due to something else? cheers in advance gav
  11. yea thats probably me again cause my sister lives round there
  12. yup probs me again, was it on the part of the road outside the school
  13. cheers chris ill try and get under it this weekend and find out
  14. its done it since i bought it about 10 months ago but its slowly slowly gettin a worse
  15. whilst taking sharp turns at low speeds, doing a 3 point turn for example there is quite a harsh grumble comes from the rear axle area that pretty much resinates through the whole car like a harsh grumble/vibration, im just wondering if any one else has this problem or if any one knows what it may be and what i need to do to fix it. tt jspec i cant think of a better way to explain it than that really. thanks in advance and happy new year to everone too. gavin
  16. ok cheers bud ill have a look, im only boosting to one bar at the mo anyway, hopefully i should get my FMIC on this weekend the weather has been puttin me off for too long now. when u finishing for christmas, unfortunatley im in till the death gav
  17. cheers chaps opt for the 50 offset then cheers again gav
  18. havent got a clue on what the offset is on the wheels buddy the wheel in the picture is the same as the ones i have on mine at the moment im just after something a bit wider on the rear, but dont really want to go back to the stock alloys as im not really a big fan of them.
