  4. just a quicky regarding the oil you have up for sale on the owners club. im curently after some good quality oil for my jap twin turbo. if you could please recomend which one to go for that would be great. hoping to get a late grab here, as ive only just seen the thread. thanks gav
  5. sorry was also going to ask about the exhaust. if the cat is on the exhaust sounds great but if you de-cat a red top they sound awfull and wraspy. mine has the cat on and is sounding a bit on the wraspy side, could this mean that the cat is starting to perish. gav

  7. where is the best place to go for the sensor vauxhall or anothere supplier. if its not the sensor is there anything in the engine that needs to be assessed that could be triggering the sensor, i think but im not sure but the sensors are constantly monitoring the detination rates and times of the pistons/fuel, could there be somthing wrong with the firing times that may need to be looked at. cheers for the response gav
  8. i have a problem on my calibra 16v red top where knock sensor one keeps reporting a fault. its not the sensor itself as it is a brand new sensor, ive had the fault cleared from the ecu memory but it still keeps on popping the engine management light up on my dash and reporting the same knock sensor fault. i have checked the wiring and there is no problems associated with that. is there any thing i can look at to try and get to the source of the problem. ive asked on the calibra owners club but response times on there are very slow and im getting a bit narked with this fault and need some info. if any one has any info regarding knock sensors and fault finding that would be amazing. cheers gav

  10. are they a direct replacement part for a jap spec jza80 2jz-gte, as my turbos have blown and im looking to upgrade a bit more to full bpu and these would come in nicley indeed
  11. ive seen the same one a few times on my way home from work too. but mine has been off the road now so if i gave him the thumbs up in my polo beast i dont think he would appreciate it quite so much
  12. im not 100% clued up on this, but why would i need to change the vsv's if its going to be a stuck actuator. are they the same thig or does one rely on the other. ive tried it in ttc mode an the actuator opens as it should, is there anything obvious that i have missed gav

  14. ive been through all threads on vsv's but it stated that the ttc mode bypasses them so i tried it in ttc mode and still a lack of boost.
  15. just had a check now and th smoke is white with a little bit of a blue tinge to it. but its not exessesivly blue.
  16. ive been through all the threads on this but none of them seemed to come to any conclusion. basicaly ive lost all the boost from my second turbo, ive done the tinfoil test where you wedge a bit of tin foil between the valve and if it opens the tin foil will fall away as its no longer able to hold it in place. it fell away so they are both working. ave also tried it in ttc mode which still lacks boost all together. ive rummaged around all the pipes and none have split or ruptured or popped off. the car doestn smoke when driving but for a while now on start up it has given a white ploom of smoke. it has been using a bit more oil than normal over the last 2-3 months. is it now that the turbo has gone now and needs replacing. or is there something ive missed and ned to have a look at. cheers gav

    what would be the best set up for these http://garagewhifbitz.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=7627&category_id=2011&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53 think my turbos are dieing. was thinking of getting these and going full bpu with them but was wondering what the best setup would be, i was going to change cams for hks 264, E-Manage ultimate piggy back ecu. allready have the full de-cat, fuel pump, FCD, and front mount intercooler. im not sure about the injectors as of yet which is why im asking. is anyone all ready running these if so what setup do you have. just after getting the old girl up and running propperly again with a little bit more poke and just thought i would sort some info out first. cheers gav

  22. just after a bit of advice from the main spray painters ive decided to sack off using aerosol cans now as they cost too much. im looking at buying a compressor but was wondering what is the best volume to go for. i dont do anything major but i would like to do some larger projects and would just like to see what people would recoment i get before i go and buy the completley wrong thing. thanks gav
