My mothers freinds son had his motorbike pinched from in front of his eyes by a guy he orgonised to meet from a dealership.
Put his bike up for sale, a guy from such and such a honda dealership rang to say he was intrested and could they arrange a viewing time and date at the dealers, he agreed, went down to be approched by a guy in a suit from the dealers, the guy did a head stock check to make sure that there was no wires getting caught and that there was nothing wrong with the steering and before he could react, click, into gear and fu***d off on his bike.
He went in to the dealers as asked where he had gone on it and they replied, no one under that name works here and that he was nothing to do with the dealers at all.
absolutley gutted for him, the shear cheak of some one doing that is just unreal, but i bet he isnt the only one that it has happend to.
he reported it stolen about 2 mins after the incident and two weeks later got a speeding ticket through the post, and an additional fine for not wearing a helmet, the picture was a guy in a suit with no lid on. He ended up getting away with it as the ticket was issued after he had reported it stolen.
And he also got the full asking price for the bike back from his insurance but they were very reluctant to pay out seeing as the keys were in the ignition.
Always be warey about what is going on and remember dont trust anyone you dont know as you knever know what they may be capable of.
