  1. That's exactly what I mean. People have been up until recently saying that they have had emails back in a few days for free. So why all of a sudden the 70 quid price tag.
  2. But on the other hand it's like me walking to the fridge to say yea we have some bacon eggs and some sausages. All they are doing is looking something up on the system which I can't imagine taking more than 5 mins to do. I understand it would help with a sale but surely not at £70 which is the current exchange rate.
  3. I basicly asked for the information regarding my mines ecu I have. This is the response I received. Gavin, Hello and thank you for the inquiry. Basically we do not provide those services. If you would like, we would consider doing so for a fee. We believe 10,000JPY would be appropriate. If you are still interested, do let us know and we will provide our banking information so you can make the payment. Do be advised that MINE'S only accepts bank transfers as method of payment and transfer fees are to be paid by the customer. 4. Cool i'll fire them an email later on today. Cheers
  5. Can i ask for the email you contacted regarding this. I tried emailing them around 2 years ago regarding mine but i never got a response.

If you have nothing to hide I don't see an issue
  7. Trump 244 to 215 Clinton at the moment, not quite sure who I'd rather have in charge lol.
  8. Just curious if others want the turbo and wastegate. I may be interested in the manifold, downpipe, and re circ screamer. dependant on price of course
  9. Not when you have to account for tool making to produce the lenses, the initial cost of high impact clear acrylic/perspex, plus vacuum forming costs then cutting out the lense from its vacuum formed frame within a tollerence so that it looks oem when offered up to the original headlight lense. Trust me I went down this line to reproduce these exact lenses which im not a million miles off atm, just stuck with time with work and working nights.
  10. Yea that was my plan. I'm just thinking of something fun for a year and then moving onto something sensible later one when we start trying for kids. I've been looking at kia ceed's, corsa's 1 series bmw's etc but can't make my mind up
  11. She hasnt passed her test yet and does'nt seem to be in any hurry to do it. But I mentioned to her I may buy a car and she said that would be the push for her to get out there and get her licence. My max budget is around 3k but not the slightest idea of what to get really. I like the idea of this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201606225145657?search-target=usedcars&make=mazda&model=mx-5&price-to=3000&maximum-mileage=up_to_60000_miles&searchcontext=default&sort=pricedesc&postcode=pr21sh&radius=1500&page=1&onesearchad=new%2Cnearlynew%2Cused&logcode=p&adPos=3 what are your thoughts guys. I should say she is now 31 so hopefully insurance shouldnt be too much of an issue. The car also has to be something I wont mind driving and beeing seen in. So pink soft top micras are a no no im afraid lol. Gav
  12. That would be nice but I aint got the funds for that lol. Budz86 I got your pm i'll bear it in mind as it may be a good fall back if i cant do anything with mine. Gav
  13. Well after a long time of finishing off other projects to make room for the supra. I finaly got around to pulling the engine apart, with what was suspected small end bearing damage i wasnt expecting to find this damage to the bores After selling on my spare almost perfect block as i didnt think i would need it im kinda pissed off lol. All pistons have damage on them, and almost all bores have some amount of scoring, most will hone out but the scores in the pictures are rather deep. Now i was expecting damage else where and was hoping all the block would need is a quick hone out and a swift rebuild but obviously not. My dilema is do i try and source a replacement block or try and work with this one, the trouble is the pistons i bought are standard size pistons so im onviously going to need oversize replacements, but seeing as i bought them nearly 2 years back im pretty sure i cant swap them. before i burn the lot lol.
  14. I can vouch for the corolla t sport, as a current owner and a daily its a beast. 5 seats, and loads of space for a bit of a hothatch.
  15. That looks spectacular in that colour I think it’s the red/black combo
  16. Yup its me thats in the process, I've tried a few different types of plastic with mixed finishes, Ive got a few more to try so hopefully in the next month or so i should have someting. But like Shane I work full time nights and dont really get a lot of time to sort things out in my own time, Ill keep you guys posted. Gav
  17. Whats the Diversion engine going in
  18. Retail second hand they range from 3 to 5k. Im going to take a look at it on Friday as he only lives around the corner. I'll take my laptop with my endoscope and take a look down the piston bores etc, drop the oil and see what comes out. No harm in looking i suppose. Im hoping that the water should have dried away now with being in a garage to dry out for 3 weeks, but we'll see. If it all seems ok I may be able to get it cheaper if i knock him down as he is getting paid out from his insurance anyway.
  19. Im currently in talks with a lad I work with theat recently had is 2005 cbr1000rr stolen from his driveway at 2 am in the morning. The bike was found in the morning by a dog walker who spotted its back end sticking up out of the canal. Who ever stole it knew nothing about it cut a few wires in an attempt to get it started and could'nt so hence they ditched it in the canal. It has been classed as a write off due to every body panel being damaged by being pushed in and draggedof the canal, cut wires and a crack in the main frame as a result of being pushed in. The rest of the bike is structually sound. But the engine has net been run due to the cut wires etc... My dilema is that with not hearing the engine run I cant vouch for its condition. I have been told that i can have the complete bike as is, minus the frame as the insurance require it to write the bike off, for £1000. This sounds like a pretty good deal to me, As im sure i can find a replacement frame with a v5, new panels off ebay and swap everthing over to make it a working bike again. My only concern is the engine, Seeing as it has been sat in a canal for 6 hours and than sat in his shed for a further 3 weeks. What would i need to look out for. (I should add the bike was not running when it entered the water so there should be no bent rods due to hydro lock etc...) I presume a full fuel flush, and engine oil flush, re wire everthing on the bike as is and then see if it will run before i commit to buy. What would you guys recomend i do?
  20. Turbo kit is it a divided manifold I may be interested minus the turbo if you don't mind splitting it.
  21. Ill Take it fella, will need it posting.
  22. The one i have is front and rear Koonlung k1s http://www.blackboxmycar.com/products/koonlung-k1s-dual-channel-dash-cam http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KOONLUNG-K1S-2CH-Channel-DUAL-CAM-UK-MPH-With-GPS-Full-HD-Car-Camera-Dash-Cam-/281832836640?hash=item419e8bce20:g:v7gAAOSwhcJWJkkj Bit more expensive but they are apparantly very good, Not installed mine yet but going to try and get some spare time this weekend
  23. Ive just bought the Koonlung K1s but havent installed it yet, thats this weekends task.
  24. I have been looking at this for some time now and believe me the cost of getting the tools made is ridiculous, I looked at reverse engineering where the item wanted to be produced is scanned to produce a 3D computer model which is the cheap part. Trying to produce a new injection mould from scratch, you have to look at how it ejects the lense once it has been injected. The mould would have to be produced in separate components so it can slide apart and become an automated process. Belive me its not worth the cost of getting it produced for a handful of headlights that you would sell on here, you would not be making any profit and could potentially be quite out of pocket.
