  1. I made my own Aerial to replace the standard motorised one. I bought a signal booster to go with it but the signal has never been very good. I saw a post ages ago about linking your aerial to the heater elements in the rear window to make the aerial surface area larger. Can any one point me to the link as i cant seem to find it. Gav
  2. I was going to tackle it myself, but I didn't know if they need pressing out or not, some rear wheel drive cars ive worked on had tapered bearing so there a piece of piss to fit. If they need pressing out I will probs just end up removing the whole hub assembly's and taking them with me to get them pressed out. Should save me some money too, as im absolutely skint at the moment. I know paul has some at £102 including VAT so i may end up going for those. Gav
  3. Supra failed its MOT due to the rear nearside wheel bearing having to much play in it. Are these a pain in the arse to replace as some don't need pressing out but I imagine these do? I got quoted £186 + vat from toyota for the bearing which I thought was fewking ridiculous, I was going to change both sides for piece of mind but that means over £400 just for parts. I just thought i would ask to see if anyone had replaced any recently that could comment on how they were to replace. Many thanks Gav
  4. Just realised that its a repost please delete
  5. Its all the bolts that go through the suspension arms I don't need the bushes or anything like that just the bolts nuts and washers etc. I also need new subframe mounts and diff mounts as I think they have gone too but I don't know the numbers for them, I cant upload the image I wanted so I will do later tonight as the bolts are circled in red. 6. Go to a proper Koi shop and some are worth £1000's depending on the breed. I swear to got the amount of time I put into my pond if I caught some one netting them I would drown them. Sorry to hear it fella.
  7. Bit weird this one. When i press the brakes hard it doesnt happen its only under every day stile breaking. Its really quite bad to the point the whole car is vibrating when i brake and the pedal feels like the ABS is kicking off. I have checked all the brake calipers pads disks to see if there is any uneven braking going on but all is clear. No warped disks nothing:confused: Could the tracking be at fault, as i know it definatly needs tracking, or even a wheel bearing showing signs of wear. Any help would be great Gav
  8. I'm after some new rear subframe mounts and bolts, and all the corresponding suspension arm bolts too, where is the best place to get them from apart from the Toyota leaches. Gav
  9. More specific the plastic headlights for a J-spec.
  10. I'm after a set of light lenses or the complete headlight units. I'm not to fussed if the projectors are buggered I just need the lenses for experimenting with . Gav
  11. Flashed at you got a thumbs up back from you, on blackpool road near lane ends.
  12. Its tricky to get the lenses to mate up with the old ones you have to cut yourself, and for that reason the screws are there to make sure it all pulls up properly and not leaving areas of excess sealant to fill gaps. either way it doesn't really matter, just so long as you get a good bond with whatever it is you use.
  13. Screws over no screws is always going to make things stronger as long as your not weakening the structure by drilling the holes, They are bonded to create a seal and the screws pull it all in to ensure a good weather tight seal. So long as its done properly there should be no lips for the airflow to grab hold of so in theory they should never fly off. Trust me im an engineer
  14. does any one know the lph and the bar pressure of the standard pump for the j spec twin turbo
  15. How many litres of fuel does the standard fuel pump deliver? I'm doing a G40 engine conversion into my Polo estate and i need a new fuel pump to accommodate the new engine, and seeing as a standard pump for it costs just over £200 i wondered if my standard pump from my supra would do. I'm running BPU so my standard pump may be a good substitute. Gav
  16. They sound good to me, they are only to see me through for a week or two as mine are close to going through to the thread on the inside. Cheers Gav
  17. That's where I got mine from not so long ago.
  18. £130 for a heat shield wow, I wouldn't have expected that, at that price I think I would clean your old one up.
  19. 245/40 ZR 18 97Y. I'm after two as they have worn out completely on the inside, I could do with some to see me through until I can afford to get all the tracking sorted as something has gone wrong somewhere Gav
  20. Dont burn it, it must be an absolute gem to someone. Ebay it so we can all see how much it goes for
  21. Can it be done without taking all the turbo pipes off ?
  22. £95 takes these absolute bargain at that price Need the money for other projects
  23. Yea the arms new have all the bushes installed as standard, I was only going to change the bushes as they were cheaper than new arms until I discovered that my ball joints were buggered too. so I swapped the lot which was'nt so cheap. All my bolts came out fine some were kind of rusted into the metal centres in the bushes but with a bit of pursuasion they came out.
