  1. Just spotted this guys garage diorama. Its even got the supra from the fast and the furious. http://www.modelmotorvation.com/forum/models/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?28291
  2. Dont forget the fack that just because he has spent all the money building it its worth every penny. People spend thousands doing engine and chassis mods to supras and re-coup a fraction of the price when they come to sell up.
  3. Not as much roll as that scoob in the last pic, It looks as if its going to cock its back leg. With regards to handling Im sure Chris will be along soon to give you some information.
  4. I have a cooking blow torch in my tool box, As the flame is quite directional and small to heat up some nuts and bolts that are seised, works a treat when used in conjuction with wd-40
  5. Fewking awsome. I noticed some Older volvo 240's in some of your pics, Is there any plans for those.
  6. I should be there this year, allthough not in the supra, but in the polo beast whoop whoop. I will try and get the supra sorted for before thn though but the polo is my best back up.
  7. What would the import duty cost on something like that. Im considering it myself but i dont know about the costs. Gotta keep to a budget;)
  8. Thats cool, I may have to bite the bullet and get one soon. The 740 turbo engines seem to be a pretty common conversion too. But the idea of having a nice supra lump in there seems to apeal to me more, but im not sure how much work would be involved in that (quite alot i would imagine). I have always wanted a propper sleeper. I have my MK3 Polo breadvan, with the polo G40 1.3 supercharged engine in it which catches alot of people out. So a beast of a volvo seems a good idea to me.
  9. Hey folks I dont know if there are any volvo lovers on here. I have always loved the older looking volvos and have seen a few good looking ones like this coming up quite cheap. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C301000 I have always fancied one to spruce up a bit and make the handling less swampy, I dont think it would win any prizes for track records, although I think some were used for rallying so they cant have been too bad. I have seen a few with the mk3 and mk4 supra engines in them which seem to be quite a common swap.
  10. I work in the holiday camp of BAe systems, building JSF's (american fighter jet) for a living sounds fun but it really isnt. I still enjoy it though and it pays a good wage too.
  11. Price now lowered to £100 + delivery If not Ill just keep it until my car is fixed.
  12. Yea it was a 1/24th scale DIY kit from Tamiya, All hand painted and sprayed by myself. Im well chuffed with how it turned out.
  13. Good to watch made me laugh quite a bit.
  14. Finaly finished it today, So I thought I would share it with you all.
  15. My first car was a nova 1.2 Merit, oh the days. Then i planted it into a tree backwards at 40mph Ill try and dig out the pics.
  16. Cheers fella, I thought they were but couldn't be sure.
  17. I have an HKS EVC V. The markings underneath are V III, I bought this many a year ago (back end of 2009) with the plans to put it on the car but I never got round to doing it. I don't think im ever going to get round to doing it either. The money will be going to my supra fund, so when it is fixed up again i will probs just buy a new one. There are two cut wires shown in the pics red with a silver band and a black with a silver band. I have absolutely no idea what they are for but I presume it may have gone to an ecu readout or for the power to the unit. It was purchased from Paul Whiffin so as you know he isn't the type of guy to sell dodgy parts, and I honestly haven't touched it since then, Its been in a box in the garage gathering dust forgotten about. So some one may as well get some use out of it. I would be asking in the region of £120 + delivery. Cheers Gav
  18. Where in freckleton did you live, I lived down Lamaleach drive for 20 years, my mum still lives there, If you go on the google street view you can still see my supra, calibra on the drive and the polo on the road, but they are with me now apart from the calibra as i sold that a while ago.
  19. Mine has been sat on the drive with sorry eyes for months now. I was in the process of moving house when my big end bearings started to rattle, I was like For F**k sake not now of all times. All my savings had gone on the deposit so Im now paying my mortgage and trying to save up whilst driving and paying for another car amongst other things we need for the house. Im so skint its untrue. I keep thinking about selling her on but then every time i come on the owners club it reminds me of how much i love the bloody thing when it worked. So im still finding every penny i can to get her fixed. Its not fair but at least im now on the housing ladder too. Keep you chin up and keep throwing money at it, its the only way haha.
  20. My supra is currently declared SORN, so i thought iw would ring up my insurance and ask to reduce the policy seeing as im not driving it. When i rang up they said that they would reduce it to third party fire and theft, which they then said they couldnt do because of the value of the car. so they then said they would lower my milage limit to 1000 miles which knocked sodd all off. I dont want to fully un-insure the supra just incase, but is there any decent insurance policys out there that will do cheap cover considering that the vehicle is SORN'd At the moment im paying £800 a year to look at my supra out of my front window
  21. My tax runs out this month and im going to get the Supra sorn'd as i need toget to the bottom of my engine fault Im confident in getting the engine out and striping it for inspection. But when it comes to look for the damage to bearings etc is it clear as day and night or does it take a keen eye to spot the faults with regards to bearings. The fault seemed to be coming from the bottom end so that where i am going to start. If i get the engine out and i cant see anything is there any one in the preston area that can come and take a look and see what they think? It probs wont be for a month or so yet as every weekend i have is booked up with visits to relatives etc.. Cheers Gav
  22. Agreed a 2JZ would be a bit over kill to be honest. Keep it with the lump it allready has, plenty of power for a small car.
  23. I think they look absoulutley stunning. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/10/06/car-feature-gt-gt-the-ultimate-street-kpgc10.aspx
