  1. Ah right ok, Im only looking to be around 550 ish Maybe a touch more, So I suppose thats one option I could look into.
  2. Trying to keep things to a somewhat budget, would a piggy back ecu be acceptable for this or should i just feck it and go stand alone?
  3. A new ecu will cost you so much for such little gain. If your lucky you may be able to find a mines ecu which can raise your rev limit slightly, and i think has a built in fuel cut defender ( I think) so dont quote me on it, And a slightly better built in map over the standard ecu setup. I have one in mine and thy come pretty well rated, If I pull my finger out with my single build mine will be up for sale But we'll see. Gav
  4. Are you still running stock cams then
  5. Right guys decided to bite the bullet. Ive got some of my money together now. I just wondered what peoples recomendations for kits/turbos are. Im hoping to achieve a bench mark figure of 550-600hp I have already sourced my engine from a member on here. Like I said im kind of new to all this so I will somewhat need to be spoon fed along the way. if any one can shed some light what parts are best and where to source them from. I have seen a few kits for sale on here but think they may bee a bit large for my needs but you never know. Any help would be appreciated just need a point in the right direction. Thanks Gav
  6. I had a similar issue with mine when i first got mine. It turned out that the rad cap was old and knackered and filled up the expantion tank and then steam from the rad was bubbling up through the expantion tank. I replaced flushed the system replaced my thermostat, and the rad cap and that sorted it out until 2 weeks later the top of my original rad exploded all over my engine bay, was not impressed. So i then ended up buying a koyo rad to replace it with.
  7. Also keen on this turbo setup, Im in the process of sorting a few things for going single. But i may buy these and run the supra on them for a while and give me time to fully make my mind up weather i want to stick with the twins or go bigger.
  8. Honestly fella, go and get your engine. If keron wants to do the work for you then jump at the chance, I would. If they quoted you 9k to do a rebuild I really wouldn't trust them with anything else they say.
  9. Get your ass down there before he thinks he may have got away with it, The longer you leave it the more of an excuse he can come up with or acuse it of happening outside of his garage.
  10. I'd say that would probs suit your needs. Mine is the same but a Clarke one.
  11. Depends which way you look at it Only joking fella, Hope it heals propperly. I nearly had to loose 2 finger nails once, I had two choices to make. Loose the nail or tape it down. I said get the bloody thing taped down, I aint having sausage fingers lol. Gav
  12. Im in the process of doing mine at the moment so dependant on how it looks one finished and how much of a ball ache it turns out to be. Im also in talking with a injection moulding company about getting lenses made but that is miles off at the moment. I bought the moulds off the previous member that used to sell them on here but I only got half way through making my vacum former and now its been forgotten about. I really need to pull my finger out and try and get something sorted Gav
  13. I wouldnt know where to start with half the things you have done. Every credit fella, you have a stunning motor Gav
  14. Angle grinders can be your best friend or your worst enemy. All I can say is if it resorts to it take it easy and go steady.
  15. I always found that heat helped a lot. the trouble is its seized in the bush which is surrounded by rubber so all the bashing your doing is going to be somewhat absorbed by it. The g clamp sounds like a good idea though as mentioned above.
  16. Have you tried heat I'm sure I used a small cooking blowtorch it helps the oils impregnate the joint. Have you also tried swearing at it?
  17. I could pop down literally 5 min drive away for me. Will be in the corolla though.
  18. They do it so you wont buy the item, and then when the get stock in they lower the price, Its to avoid re-insertion fees from ebay. I once saw a tin of air rifle pellets for sale at £1000 so when i messaged the guy he said what has been mentioned above. Gav
