    Got a great idea

Sometimes you have to specualte to accumulate. If you've exhausted free options then maybe stick on a CC if you're that convinced it could make millions. I assume you've googled it? Perhaps if you tell us all the idea we can help you look
  2. Awesome! I've recently passed my CBT and have my theory tomorrow. Got a CBF125 for now but its too light and slow for me so itching to do my DAS. Did you just do the tests or training as well? I'll prob wait til the spring to do it if I can. My wife is a biker, and from her and my research it seems the Suzuki SV-650 is one of the best 'begineer' choices.
  3. I tried this and was told by Sky it was illegal to try and obtain cheap deals by leaving sky and coming back. I did argue with them for a while as it didn't sound right but in the end I just bought a Sky+ box off ebay, wired it in myself and called them up to activate, which they did over the phone.
  4. I was dreading insurance renewal as people have been saying for months to expect a 25% increase. My zed cost around £450 last year, I just done some test quotes and the cost is coming in same for current insurer and less with others. will have to see what my renewal notice says but certainly not the jump I was expecting. £430 tax is still salty though
  5. Did she send you photo? If she's fit I say take the risk, the 3.8 mil would come in handy as well. Some people have all the luck.

    A new purchase...

Stunning car, I'm loving the new A5/S5 styling and lines - what is the performance like?
  7. I'm on my second zed, I had an 05 plate JDM and sold it to my bro as I wanted something a little more refined so I bought a 330coupe. Trouble is everytime my bro visited I missed the zed so after a year I bought a 57 plate GT (hi-rev 313 verision) and I adore it. I'm always looking for new cars but with this one I'm not, I'd only change for a 370 or a noble and I'm not quite ready to make that jump. The newer zed feels a lot different to the old one, better engine, better handling and better interior/exterior. I have the twin induction kit and she roars. Fast enough for me, not great on petrol and expensive tax but I really love driving her. Much faster than my NA supra and a million times better handling, obviously quicker cars around but I'm getting into bikes so speed has a different meaning Reliability wise, I'm on my second and zero issues from this one or my old one that my bro still has. The engine is superb though there are rumours recently that you must run them on super unleaded (as the manual says) or the engines can go. Build quality inside won't win any prizes on the early models (-06) but superb cars for the relatively small amount of money they are going for. Parts can be expensive but its a performance sports car so to be expected, totally manageable costs though (IMO).
  8. G35 - same chassis as zed but 4 seater. Heavier by 90kg IIRC so slower, and pig ugly in standard form but someone has one on here and they've done a great job with subtle mods.
  9. You should post up on 350z-uk.com, I've been a Zed owner for years and never seen anything like this. Quite clever, no idea what it would do to the handling and I doubt there is any head or leg room. If you're that desperate then maybe change to the G35 (if you can live with the looks on a standard car).
  10. Are they that unreliable still? Quote from autotrader: "Jaguar scores well in ownership surveys these days, and the XKR convertible appears to be built impeccably, using high quality materials." I ask because I've looked into jags a few times and thought they'd left the bad rep behind on the more modern (2000+) cars. Seems like a lot of car for the money, looks stunning except for the interior. I'd go for it if the build documentation checks out! Hmm, its a 1999 model, not so sure on the reliability of those.
  11. Maybe just sell them as a job lot on ebay. When I tried the cd sites they were offering like 25p a cd.
  12. We have a mattress that is part memory foam and part normal, cost over £500 I think. Very comfortable and you don't roll into the other person so much. We changed from a waterbed to it so it was a big difference.
  13. This sounds like a very interesting book, ordered!

    Rioter

Its spread to Ireland now, Paddy broke his monitor trying to loot ebay.
  15. One of the best cars and cheapest I ever owned was an old omega mv6 expolice estate. 3 ltr (or maybe 3.2, can't recall), lpg conversion, lowered, uprated cams (all done by police). I bought it off my mechanic for a few hundred quid as I needed a car quickly whilst mine was being worked on. I took that omega all round wales as a contractor, driving it through north wales is one of my fondest memories, good power, amazing ride and comfort. Only had it a few months, sold then shortly after the head gasket went - water pipe had come loose and they cooked it. I also like the passats though, supposed to be good cheap cars.

    Bathrooms!

I got one of my bathrooms from B&q, no problems whatsoever. I fitted myself though so really as long as you check it out in shop and you're happy with the quality I can't see an issue. Saying that, the first bath that turned up was scratched but they replaced it extremely quickly.
  17. I'm pretty sure you need a phone line for installation so they can activate. I just ran a cable then disconnected it afterwards. IIRC the contract says something about having the line connected for the 12 months, I think you could pay extra for standalone, can depend on the engineer too. There are rumours of random line tests but I never had one.

    Epic fail MR2

The best thing about that car...its a one-off! Thank feck for that. Normally I'm easy going on modding but really, that is rank.
  19. I'm sure you thought about this but you say you have a manager in place - would he be interested in buying it? As mentioned, the most profitable route would likely be an active manager/owner. As you seem to be more worried about time than money I'd up the price to 15k but offer him a business loan, so he pays you X amount every month or quarter. I believe these deals are quite common on the states (yes, another TV programme!) so perfectly feasible. HTH.
  20. I seem to recall Dalton was a good business for sale publication when I was looking to buy something many years ago. Sounds like a great business and price, shame you have to sell. Anyone thinking of buying - make sure the contract has a clause preventing the owner using the client list and replicating the business in the same area (i saw this on TV ) Good luck!
  21. As mentioned, taking in a little salt can work wonders. I avoid hangovers by drinking a lot of water when I get home, its usually too late by the morning and takes a lot longer to recover.

    S4 or RS6

Funny that, my mate has an A4, its very smart inside with the red leds but just feels soul-less to me. Don't know why, just too clean and smart. He's had a few electrical issues but luckily covered by warranty which I would say is a must with audis.
  23. Totally agree with that, don't get one if someone isn't home the majority of the day as they don't like being left. I was going to rescue one but after researching realised I couldnt give it the home it needed.
  24. I'm a real fan of the 330's, not long sold my petrol one but your claims are wildly optimistic. The 53 plate 330d is 0-60 in 7.2 seconds, no way a remap will take that down to 5.9 IMO. The 06+ e92 maybe, I think they are low 6s as standard but twice the OP budget.
