You have some good points and obviously excellent technical understanding but you really are lacking social skills, not suprising you weren't made a mod if you can even reply to people in a polite/respectful manner. We're getting waaaayyy off topic though, CJ, reformat, get extra RAM, job's a good-un.

Its been a while since I messed with hardware but i think also the graphics card memory also needs to be taken into account as part of the memory limit. I'd still say though bang for buck upgrading the RAM to 4 gig will help, its not just about single applications, its the number you have running at one time. Now if we're talking upgrading to 3gig or 4gig then the performance increase would likely be the same, but we weren't lol and I'd stick with matching whereever possible, so 2x2gig speed matched memory.

LOL CT was awesome - but what, 10 years ago? BO MP looks just like it. I'll try the fix someone mentioned on here (PC version) and hopefully it will improve things. I'm sure there are aimbots in use all ready, 3 times in a row someone rounded a corner, immediately raised their scope and it jumped to me.

I'm a huuuuuge fan on MW2 multiplayer, ranked up 207 hours playtime. Not loving BO MP though, the graphics are terrible and remind me of counterstrike, its laggy as hell, doesn't feel 'real' at all. I hope they release a patch to fix this or it grows on me cos so far its terrible. I'll be ranking more hours up on MW2 methinks!

My mate goes every year, its predominantly in North Wales this year, I think there is an event in Cardiff on Sunday as well. Long way to go and they can cancel stages at no notice so he's very concerned.

Look at it another way, if you don't get a percentage of people taking up low emmission cars then one course of action would be to make petrol even more cost prohibitive. The most likely way (petrol aside) is to increase tax further again and force take up. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit 1k+ pa tax in 5 years. So embrace diesels, eco-cars for the people that want them, perhaps it will keep our gas guzzlers more affordable for a while. Ateotd, its not sustainable in current consumption levels.

Improving though as more people buy them (perhaps due in part to lower tax), the BMW diesel engine for instance is superb and likely better performance and economy than equivalent petrol engines. Its easy to point and dismiss, less easy to suggest improvements. If people didn't buy diesels, there would be no money/no market for development.

We're discussing the new Saab, its not electric, its diesel so they are rewarding the low emissions. I agree the government can do more, but why criticise even a small step if its in the right direction. And as for your electric car statement, you're right its not as eco-friendly when you examine the supply chain, but thats not necessarily the main driver, its about reducing our need for oil. The government will be providing grants up to 5k when you buy (still expensive) electric cars. Also, the government is looking internally as well but we would be the first to shout if they put us in even more debt by making wholesale changes. They are making low cost small changes - for instance they've just signed a new contact with HP charging HP with the challenge of reducing power/energy costs of IT.

For the PC version, even if you get it early you likely won't be able to play it, Steam blocks games installed before release date! You can get a crack but its a PITA.

At least the government is doing something to encourage "eco-friendly" purchases. We need more incentives like this not less - better grants for wind/solar etc so even a small step is a step in the right direction IMO.

I think the point he's trying to make is around people who have committed war attrocities (spelling?!) and not your average (one would hope) soldier doing his (or her) duty. Its likely every country (generalist statement) has elements of armed forces that have done some terrible acts, the UK included. I would agree with not adding delays to a process by forcing decisions through policitians, its a sad reflection but proved time and time again that there are often economic/political/corrupt influences on political decision making that often detract from moral 'right and wrong'.

I got this on the weekend, not normally a fan as I prefer the fast pace of FPS but wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Its interesting, not the most thrilling, too slow to get around at times. No idea how lock picking or terminal hacking works though. So far I've met up with NCR to take out a prison, didn't get anything about protecting PRIMM. Think I might go wandering later, pick a direction and just keep walking. Oh and some card game about caravans, no idea how that works! Need to do some research methinks.

You thought about the Europa? Larger than the elise, but still pretty rapid and very rare. I'm looking at them, but thinking I'll prob try for a 370z instead.
