    Charlie Sheen

To a large extent he's believing his own hype, but I do think 'legend'. He knows how he wants to live his life and he's doing it. He'll likely be found dead soon, shame for his family but he's packed more into his life than a lot of people could in 10. I'm a huge fan of his show. His job is celebrity and he's doing it well. In a world descending into political correctness, its nice to see someone shining bright shouting f*ck you, I'm Charlie Sheen (would make a great t-shirt!). Kerry Katonna on the other hand, she seems to be a sheen wannabe and I can't stand her.
  2. I love that, take loads of pics when transforming. I'd love something like that someday, not so much the bigger power just the iconic styling.
  3. Actually...its not that uncommon for service history to be logged on computer and not in book, check the log book, see who it was registered to, ring them up to confirm history. We've done this before with cars and received a nice little print out. I think its common with taxi firms or fleet cars. And as for those saying who'd buy a car without history...we're on a supra forum! loads of supras history can't be proved if JDM, and its an older car that many people service themselves.
  4. I'd be amazed if they put that on the road for anywhere near £20k, prob early 30's to take on the 370z.
  5. I'll second those, Bell gave me best price on my JDM 350z, which after all is just a pretty version of the Skyline :p:p Upon renewal, I seem to find admiral cheaper, but being same company they price match.
  6. There was a company referenced on the 350z forum, I'll try and find it. I think the cost was closer to 2k, but had a guarantee against peeling and looked very high quality. Edit, cost does seem around 1k, not bad if it last years. Not sure if you can access this: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=44945&hilit=wrap
  7. I think these people are just intuitive and speak with confidence. People want to believe (or they wouldn't be there) so the majority when faced with a statement such as 'you were hurt by someone with the inital J' will search their memory for scenarios that fit. By using open, generic statements the reciever does all the work. With the volume of 'gullible' people out there I bet they also see patterns and frequent responses so know what works best. You could probably write a computer programme to act as a 'pyschic', all based on logic. If it was real it wouldn't be so vague. You will leave here £20 pounds lighter doesn't count.

    security lights

We have these, got them in B&Q IIRC.
  9. You probably know this, but I'm sure you can use the recovery console to restore the pre-patch registry keys. Been a while since I've had to do it though.
  10. Really? Not an issue for PCs, I suppose banking software would be affected but I can't see it being that much? My company spans the globe, we don't have issues with the various time zone changes.
  11. You're right, though they'd have to change a lot for me to have one. Saying that the newer model does look a lot more refined. Mine was the facelift 2 series. Best thing to do is have a good test drive, ours was very harsh in low gears and just not nice to drive. Sorento - kia. Oh -another reason we got the sorento was the rear door - glass pops up which is really useful for transporting wood and saves us using the trailers.
  12. We had an 02 model, we got shot of it pretty quick, terrible to drive (gearing) and the cornering was awful. No idea on the newer ones tho, they look nice. We got a 55 plate sorento instead, love it, drives like a car, loads of room, class leading towing and handles our horse trailer and field work ok.
  13. This has been debated as long as I can remember, I think its a good idea though.
  14. I'd love a ride in that, car is nice as well. I can't help it, normally I hate everything her lifestyle represents (jealous maybe!) but I think she's pretty. Perhaps its a romantic notion that she's just playing a character and she deep down she's a loving, caring person. Upshot is, I would. Twice. With my own.
  15. Dragging back on topic - if you find a good CCTV system let me know. I've had similar issues recently and am looking at wireless IP based systems. A number around for £150-£250 with 2-4 cameras. I have a NAS capable of hosting them so just need to choose a model. I've already got the proper CCTV signs, mine say something like continuously recording for the safety of the public (i'll check later). Got them from a mate who runs a commercial security camera firm. I've also got 'Dogs Loose' signs and 3 very scary dogs - though its apparantly common that 'they' steal the dogs as well.
  16. I saw those Mark, but I was put off by the integrated graphics. I'll have to do some more reading on them but I can't believe integrated graphics is as good as a seperate graphics card.
  17. Bit more research done, looking like i5 chips on my budget, perhaps this combo? mobo proc then get 4 gigs of decent RAM.
  18. I tend to upgrade my PC in a modular fashion on an ongoing basis and now its time for motherboard, processor and memory. I work in IT, but I'm totally out of touch with the techie side and I've no idea if I'm looking at good components or bad. So, if anyone can recommend a bundle or seperates I'll be a happy bunny Bits that are staying (so must be compatible) GIGABYTE Chassis (huge!) 550W PSU Arctic ATI Radeon HD 5700 150GB SSD Various other Sata drives Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit currently) Bits to replace: Gigabyte 965P - DS3 4GB DDR2 Ram Intel Core 2 [email protected] Budget:£200-£300 Usage: Gaming, internet After years of following AMD, I now prefer Intel, but not overly loyal. I really like the Gigabyte motherboards so would be my preference.
  19. Just wanted to say thanks for advice Edge - bought a Triton T80z on monday, turned up today £91 delivered - cheaper than with my dad's discount at plumbcentre! I'll prob fit this weekend.
  20. Looks like my extension floor but I did mine myself and i'm no builder :-)
  21. I scored 9, my wife was surprised but the girlfriend wasn't.
  22. Have you tried the inbuilt tools (most accessed through control panel, performance). I find most 3rd party software is just a fancy frontend to these inbuilt tools. I find I don't have to do much to these 'modern' OS as I used to with XP.
  23. I swear by AVG, never had an issue with it and know loads of people that use it. You don't say what OS you are running, I think Vista and Win7 both have tools built in.
  24. Wow, lots of car for the money - shame no service history, on a diesel and that model thats really not good. Might be worth contacting previous owners for heads up on history - I've done that with cars before whilst at dealers!
  25. Where's the fun in that! I love looking at cars so will gladly help someone decide on models. I just bought a shower based on someone's recommendation from here. To OP, you'll get a 530d for your budget, but it will be around 2001-2003 and high mileage. Can be expensive to run but superb cars.
