I am sure the number 1 sensor on the Toyota avensis is basically the one that's bolted to the gearbox. I've had issues with the avensis and this threw and error and it was because the connectors were corroded. Since your car has bee. I would drain the oil. Replace the oil. Lubricate the top end by hand. Put some engine oil into the cylinders. Turn by hand lots of times. Suck out the excess oil that you have inserted i to the bores. Start it up.
