  1. Jake, Im pretty sure if reported to eBay they will see he has sold you an item which is NOT designed by Toyota. Hes out of order mate.
  2. Justin, Reflecting on what others have said regarding getting a new Supra, just think what you know about Supra's since you bought your first one. You will be well armed. I reckon patience will pay off and you know us lot are only a post away. Take it easy mate. Regards Chris
  3. Justin mate, i am so gutted for you, just when you seemed to be getting bits and pieces done to your car. Well glad you are OK and hope you get something sorted soon. I know how i felt when someone ploughed into my GT-Four at Christmas, i cant imagine how you must be feeling at losing your pride and joy. Keep us informed how things go. Best regards Chris
  4. Welcome to the forum Faith Adopter. I can understand why you may want to change the rear plate. It was rather large on Faithstalkers car. Mine was the same when i bought my Supra. I just went to a local independant auto store and had them make plates.

    Bulb Paint

Cheers dude, ill let you know how i get on
  6. Yeah i had heard the SMIC could be fitted without the front bumper being removed however now its off and the IC exposed it would be damn tight to get to all the bolts. Its been a good excercise anyway plus ive been able to do some front indicator bits more easliy with the whole thing off.
  7. Question is will it go back on....... I have today embarked on fitting my Chris Wilson SMIC, no wonder people have shyed away from removing front bumpers themselves. Started pissing down so will fit the SMIC and bumper tomorrow now. Came in to wash up and i had tribal marks on my face, a perfect black mark under each eye

    Bulb Paint

I need to get some orange bulb paint, has anyone had much success in finding a source.
  9. Yep, i agree sounds lik a flat battery to me too.
  10. I decatted first and left the stock cat back exhaust fitted and only saw 0.9 BAR with plugs changed. I only fitted a fuel cut defenser in readiness for the aftermarket exhaust. And to add 0.9 was a bad thing, although only a small increase over stock, responsivness was gretaly improved EDIT: Oops i meant to say 0.9 wasnt a bad thing
  11. osso, im sure you have seen this already however just in case. Doesnt specifically talk about VVTI's but some good info on overboosting. Restrictor Rings
  12. Hi mate, Changing your car mid way through the policy wont effect you NCB so that OK. As for having the Golf and the Supe at the same time that could be trickier. Could you not try and find a company that does short term policies then when the golf is sold change your more than policy over to the Supra. HTH Regards Chris
  13. Im expecting mine will. At the end of the day even though they are the same shape and fitment they are not stock items. An insurer would argue that stock discs do not have slots on them therefore they are a modification. I agree they are supposed to better braking however this is insurers we are talking about and they dont give a rats ass about that when it comes to paying out.
  14. Jake, They look like the Brembo cast 3G ones. I have the J-Spec ones to go on.
  15. I ordered front and rear J-Spec Pads (Not from Toyota). I thought the rears looked too square and when i offered them to the car tey were obviously thw rong ones. Checking the J-Spec part numbers with you guys and seaching for the part number on the box of rears i have confirmed they are UK.
  16. I expected this too when i changed my 16" stock rims for 17" aftermarket on my Celica GT-Four. I have TRD Coilovers on the Celica and they EXTREME hard. When i fitted the aftermarket rims the suspension was less harsh. The only thing i can put it down to is the face of the stock rims were almost all alloy (no gaps on face) so quite rigid, whereas the aftermarket ones are multispoke and more likely absorb shocks better. That said the rims are used on Rally cars so designed that way i imagine.
  17. How cheaper? , my last CW race pads were touching £200. Stock pads are nothing like as much. Aftermarket pads are better i agree however ive got the t-shirt and i cant live with the dust. Back to stock Pads but with 3G discs and Goodridge Lines. I will just have to live with the inevitable fade
  18. Top Banana I did use search, honest Gov . Guess i didnt use the right collection of words Looks like a recent purchase of front and rear pads has turned up UK rear pads instead of J-Spec.
  19. I would be grateful if someone could look up some part numbers please -: J-Spec Brake Pads - Front J-Spec Brake Pads - Rear Thanks in advance Chris
  20. Simon, I got totally caught up by the bling and forgot to ask how the wheels handled. What can i expect
  21. ChrisR

    My poor wheel

Ewww!! that looks bad. Is the tyre off the rim. The rim looks out of shape too. Im guessing the alloy has been stressed and even if it can be put back into shape its probably weakened. Not a normal kerbing that one!
  22. LOL I suppose it would be kept cooler too.
  23. WTF!! http://dialspace.dial.pipex.com/town/pipexdsl/r/arbj98/Supra/SantaPod/images/P1010023.jpg
  24. STOP IT!! You must be well pleased, im thinking of hanging mine on the living room wall as therye too damn good to subject to the elements. Couple of weeks and mine will be on, ive got to get my race pads off before these go on. Way too much brake dust for such shiny wheels.
