  1. Yeah they were probably laughing when they did it knowing the kind of trouble it causes anyone attempting the job themselves. Gits......
  2. The bolthead is part of the tool, the tool goes on the end of the filter and then you use a spanner to turn it.
  3. I tried the Halfrauds chain and it was a no go. By the time i had finished my arms were shredded trying to get it the small area and the filter was a different shape. I didnt want to do it but had no choice as the oil was already drained, i did the god awful screwdriver trick. Managed to get it off and once i had cleaned up i put the new filter on hand tight although i used one of those rubber jam jar openers (Lakeland) which i can fully recommend. JUst make sure though there is no oil on the outside of the new filter.
  4. Thats a good point, with 2nd cat out and the Nur Spec R system 0.8 BAR seems very low. WOuld have expected 1.0 BAR at least. Is your Supra UK or JAP?
  5. If its just the 2nd CAT then i wouldnt expect a massive difference. I replaced both cats first before exhaust and there was a slight difference, put me up to about 0.9 BAR. Get the first one out too . EDITED: Is your exhaust just the Nur backbox or the full Cat Back Nur R
  6. Any night that week is good for me so its doesnt have to be the Thursday. Any suggestions feel free to say.
  7. Anyone up for this at the usual place (The Pub in Holywell near St Ives) Edited: As i have just remembered the name of the pub 'The Ferryboat Inn' Blimey im thick
  8. Another good meet. Good to see you guys last night. Enjoyed the drive there Hopefully see you at the next one too.
  9. If its next Thursday 7th August 2003 then i can make it, i might even bring the Supra
  10. Have a look at the topics in this link, this has been discussed in some detail -: SMIC
  11. I reckon you are closer to be banned than you realise.
  12. Thats the understatement of the year
  13. What the hell do you think you are doing posting on here, this is for members only......
  14. Find out from JIC where there stick the box of tricks and trace the wires back. The thing is it could be faulty within the box. Im going to stick my neck out here and say im 100% certain its the delimiter. Hope im right as thats a cheap fix.
  15. Thanks mate, im well pleased with the car. Dont you just love three spokes. I will change the wheels, however my shopping list at the moment is huge. A few cooling things planned for the Supra next. You dont fancy a job as a get-away driver do you, its just that ive got an idea
  16. Mate, this sounds like the limiter. When i got my Supra it was supposed to have been delimited however after 3 months of ownership i finally hit the 120 mark and experienced exactly what you have described. I took it back to the importer and they confrimed they forgot to fit the limiter. Once fitted problem solved. Now i know your car is alraedy de-limited as you have not had high speed problems before, however this sounds like the limiter is failing and has returned the car to its stock settings. I guess you could check the wiring.
  17. The brace in the picture is the one that comes with all Apexi N1 systems, just replaces the stock one EDIT: Just re-read your post, in mine there is a fair bit of clearance. Does the car still have the Apexi N1 fitted or a different exhaust, if dirrefent perhaps thats why it now catches.
  18. Cool mate, do that...... Yep i am, i have cleaned it up now to my liking and its going to Chris Wilson's on Monday for a few mods here and there. Just a couple of other things i want to do to it when it gets back and it will be complete as far as im concerned. Regards Chris
  19. We will see soon enough , i doubt you will have much trouble.
