  1. I have an old speed converter wired in behind the dash, so looks like another one been wired in by the ecu is that what your saying
  2. Could someone tell me what this item is that’s been installed to the ecu pink speed signal wire which could be at fault cause signal problems
  3. I’m still chasing this transmission fault which isn’t mechanical it’s definitely an electronic/ signal problem. I found this in the odometer can someone explain why this has been by the looks of it cut and bridge with solder ? Also the blue and red wire from the odometer white plug has been cut. The loom end of the wire isn’t connected to anything and the plug end has a wire that bridges over to the blue speedo plug blue and red wire
  4. I’m having same issues with auto TT, gearbox doing weird stuff but i can’t find or fix the problem I’ve changed gear boxes, torque converter, with new filter and oil, sent ecu off for repair, swapped ecu over with another but still no joys, it’s definitely an electrical problem than mechanical, someone must know how to fix the problem or what’s causing it
  5. Update, problem developed into and bigger one now car won’t change up gear, I was told it would be gearbox so I changed the gearbox again with OEM torque converter from a running car so I know it’s good and it’s still the same, so I know it’s not mechanical but definitely electrical. I havent tried swapping over the traction control ecu yet as can’t get hold of one to try, not sure what my options are now. What controls the auto box and tells it to change gear
  6. I’m trying to diagnose a weird electrical transmission problem so want to try swapping over traction control auto ecu to rule that out
  7. No what could it be on the throttle body, is there anything I can check. Now the ecu sorted it might now record an error code fingers crossed
  8. Update, I took the ecu out and found a couple of capacitors had blown / leaked so I sent off the ecu for repair had all the capacitors changed. It has fixed most of the problems, overdrive now working, auto box now back to normal with changing up and down gear and powers back but I still have the overdrive light flashing and slip con light on.
  9. Think srd tuning has a guy they send ecu off to be repaired
  10. I can rule out the odo swapped it over with another one to test to see the overdrive would stop flashing but no change
  11. I did read on here that possibility could be the speedo converter, might be worth a shot changing it, so i thought I’ll check it out, doesn’t look the best installation and unsure what brand was used
  12. It’s got to be something electrical or a sensor I’m guessing
