  1. another vote for clifford 600 I got one and it does what if says on the tin (it cliffords ) http://WWW.GAPSECURITY.CO.UK will come to you for an install
  2. ah good that's one thing less to worry about, how about the 9 foot flames coming from my petrol tank or the constant smoke from my footwell ?? thanks for your help guys
  3. ah hadnt thought of that (me not very clever!) would I need to replace all the front shocks or can I do just the one? rough idea on price? cheers
  4. right I'm bored with them now here are my list of niggles from the top, please identify and fix them tout suite any help is appreciated 1. when reversing on full lock I get a clunk clunk noise, fine going forward and turning etc.. some times when I turn the steering at stand still the steering wheel judders?? 2. Car stalls a lot from cold, will not idle at all and I have to manually hold the revs, once its warmed up it sits on 900 rpm sweet as a nut 3. passenger side door window gets jammed when shutting the door, not a major issue I'm just wondering if the door is slightly loose as it films a lot more flimsy than the drivers side 4. My speedo/odo does not read miles incorrectly for example I drove to my house in Cornwall which I know for a fat to be 380 miles away and when I get there the trip distance reports 285 miles. This might explain why I only get 150 miles to a tank That's it, any advice welcomed, over and out
  5. LOL yeah I searched after writing that and found exactly what you did. one sec I'll go hunting http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=021212155219458&moduleno=2066&modulecode= OK does this link work? I used these. no real skill needed as I bought loads (very cheap) just try not to de-solder any other joints
  6. maplin do em, I posted the part code a while back, change the standard dull green for bright blue looks soooooo much better, its so easy to do, I even managed to change the instrument bulbs too.
  7. sorry mate missed this, mine is jap (plastic) and it was the main bulbs I was replacing, they are still going strong and passed the MOT with flying colours so my mild bodge job has obviously worked! the tags looked OK but I agree compared to the originals they do look bigger but fitted fine!
  8. impressive I managed to double post but with about 10 minutes between them please excuse me
  9. dare I say it but mine dont even have ABS, I've been hiding the fact I have by far the cheapest Supra I must say they are very spongy but tbh its a heavy lump they have to stop and they are highly progressive. no qualms here and I still drive like a nutter
  10. oh thats not too bad, I reckon the supra market is flat ATM so selling might not make sense hence the quest for more power, any idea on power levels from that conversion Thanks for the help so far
  11. I've had a look but no mention of pricing, by the sounds of it Cost would be stupid, so I'm better off just selling my present car and getting a TT
  12. I've been thinking about this for a while now, would it be possible to convert the N/A engine to turbo? i.e after market addo-on kit, does anyone know if this can be done? as my car has 35,000 miles on it I thought I'd keep the chasis which is in good nick and just upgrade the endine, to save me arsing around trying to find a buyer for this car and then find another. so firstly how much are the TT engines? anyone heard of an N/A turbo (oxymoron ) silly idea?
  13. Gotta love a nice turbo *envious green*
  14. feeling helpful again, god knows what is coming over me here is an example http://supra-power.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/dscf0176.jpg cut and paste the link
  15. I don't, there was a piccie up on MKIV.com but I can't find it anywhere, if I remember my digital camera I'll take a quick snap, I'm still highly concious of my cockpit lacking in turbo gauges so I'll have to hide the N/A origins of my car J/K
  16. I'll look it up tonight for you, I still have a few spare, if I recall correctly you need 14 bulbs in total to do everything including the dials they only cost a quid or two each so its a nice cheap mod
  17. LOL only if you want LED's under them! its easier than it looks, if I can do anyone can took me an hour and half to completely remove and reinstall everything
  18. Feeling helpful today http://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/~jamesg/gallery/dash great guide
  19. http://WWW.MAPLIN.CO.UK really is easy, not a lot to go wrong and it makes the display so much brighter, go for the high ouput blue jobbies
  20. half of mine dont work too, they are easy enough to change, I reccomend removing the whole dash and upgrading to blue LED's they look fantastic not hard to do and definitely looks fantastic
  21. I live in 7K just waiting to upgrade to a TT
  22. LOL very good I'd like to lie and say I got that speed at a track day, best I managed on the track was around 120, the M1 southbound was my max run so far, about 3 in the morning if that makes it any more excusable.
  23. 140 here, more to go (not much though) but I don't trust my front tyres!
  24. Just bought two new bulbs, just the bog standard 9005 (maybe6) these were the ones with the two grooves on the back, a firm push and they connect to the plug, then another firm twist and they go in the light socket snuggly. Not exactly OEM but hey they work
  25. Sounds like an elbow grease weekend for me then Cheers for your opinion
