  1. Mustang, I would have taken you but I dont have a spare seat!! If I hear of anyone else going I'll give you a shout on here.
  2. Im heading thru in the Supra
  3. I'll try and get a pic of the problem on my day off thru the week!
  4. anyone????? Surely I cant be the only person to have encountered this problem when fitting an aftermarket steering wheel?
  5. Guys, Ive just been trying to fit a new Sparco steering wheel to my Supra (non airbag ) I ordered the wheel and a momo boss from Demon Tweeks, Ive taken the standard wheel off but there seems to be a plug like thing - which I assume is part of the horn. The Momo boss does not have a space for this - do I simply remove it?
  6. It should be out and about a fair bit over the summer - its a bpu manual too.
  7. Alright craig, your car looks good - I work in the opticians and was gonna come out and speak to you but was on the phone!!! Whats done to the car? My supra is a red twin turbo on a K plate. Ive had the car about 6 years, but its been off the road for the last 3, got it back on the road this spring and loving it!!
  8. Just looking at a Silver Supra parked outisde the opticians on Gray Street in Broughty Ferry, looks a really tidy car......whos is it??
  9. Be good to see your car in action at Knockhill Paul - ill keep the fingers crossed that its dry for you!!
  10. Still in the process of getting the car back on the road after about a 3 year lay off, took it out yesterday and its not running properly, seems fine until it hits about 7 psi of boost then starts stammering. It seems to spike to 10psi but will only hold 7. When the car went off the road it was running perfectly.....any ideas??
  11. Wheels were bought from Demon Tweeks. Just put a Stoptech/Brembo brake set up on the car and there wasnt enough clearence width-wise. Every time I do something to the car its always a complete headache! Im tempted to put it back in the garage and but a 996 Carerra instead!!
  12. Ok, cheers for the heads up guys. I'll maybe have to investigate the cut and treat option now - any ideas on costs for this ?
  13. Ive had to fit spacers to get my wheels to clear my new brakes, and now the rear wheels are catching the arches, so I need to get the arches rolles. Does anyone know where abouts in Scotland I could be this done? Gary
  14. Yeah they have seen better days, would much prefer new calipers all round for peace of mind.
  15. Cheers lads, The J-spec rears on the car need replaced (discs, pads and calipers) so I though i'd be just as well going to UK spec all round? Gaz, out of interest could you supply this set up? If so, could you pm me a price and delivery time? Thanks
  16. My Supra needs new brakes all round, it is currently on Jap spec brakes which are useless! Dilemma is which brakes to put on it now, brembo/ap etc are too expensive so im unsure wheither to go for brand new uk spec calipers with 3g discs and endless pads front and rear or the same uk spec set up on the rear and something like ksport/d2 8pots on the front. Opinions please ??
  17. hmmmm, thought it seemed a bit too good to be true!!
  18. What do yuo guys make of this kit ? Any ideas if it is good, and would it fit onto a jap spec car? http://www.suprastore.com/800hpkit.com.html If the link doesnt work its on the suprastore website and is their 775 hp kit.
  19. Car is manual. Apexi exhaust is like new so I would want to keep that. I have a budget for brakes and suspension which will leave me about 7k for the engine. I dont have a horsepower figure in mind, just want an idea of what kind of money would achieve what kind of power. 7k is not a complete limit, just an idea of what I want to spend. If an extra thousand would make a big difference then I could up the budget.
  20. The car is a manual, and is Jap spec. Engine internals should be fine as I have ownered car about 6 years, so know its history. It has been well maintined, not driven hard and mileage is fairly low. I am going to do some research over the weekend. I want make the car quick but dont want to stress the internals too much - dont want it to break every other month! advice appreciated.
  21. I was hopeing it would be quick with that kind of power !!! I thend to agree about Scottish tuners, there is probably more experience of this kind of engine build down south. There is no real rush to get the car built, so trying it myself could be a possibility, but not sure if it would be beyond my ability though. I have been looking on line at parts, and yes ordering from the states is cheaper. I have delt with Titan motorsports and Suprastore.com before. Only concern is ordering up one of their bolt on upgrade packages and a tuner not wanting to fit them or advising me ive bought the wrong parts.
  22. Insurance is not an issue, neither is fuel consumption. The car is just for some fun and the odd track day. Who in Scotland could tune it? Another question, how fast would it be with around 600 bhp? If I do go down this route I would want to make it quicker than the TVR Cerbera I drive just now.
  23. My supra has been in storage for the last two years and im thinking about putting some money into it to go for some big (ish) power. Spec wise just now it is standard apart from HKS filter and Apexi exhaust. I do have an HKS limit cut controller and a Greddy Profec 2 boost controller but these are not fitted. Brakes and suspension are going to be uprated obviously but if I had around 7k to invest (excluding brakes and suspension) and took the car to a reputable tuner ie whifbitz/envy or the like what sort of results could I expect horsepower wise ? Cheers Gary
  24. Ive seen a silver M reg supra going about in broughty ferry of late, anyone on here? Nice burble from the exhaust.
  25. Ok, excuse the ignorance, but do thet UK spec lights have the dark background ?
