  2. You shot past me this morning at the bottom of broadfield round about, car looked really nice.
  3. I feel like a twat, lee was here for around 5mins before he has fixed the coolant sensor and the car started BIG thanks too lee and everyone on here for there help i still cant believe it was something so simple Now to start thinking about how to go single
  4. Thanks and will check now but do you think it sounds like overfueling to me it sounds like there is not enough fuel to get it started? Lees also pop round tonight to take a look so will keep everyone updated too I want my poor car back on the road
  5. Cheers mate, anyone got any ideas on what could be wrong with the car?
  6. Done so far 1. Check Spark plugs for Spark 2. Check fuelling up to injector rail 3. Check Alarm 4. Replace Coil pack connectors 5. 12v Fuel Mod 6. Engine earthing wire 7. Battery recharged 8. Checked ECU for error codes 9. Checked voltage on crankshaft sensors Thing that's the list so far, as you can hear from the sound clip it sounds like its just about to start
  7. No they are not shown on the picture, the numbers on the end of them 10737-11062 & 11428 So i think the part numbers should be 90980-10737 90980-11428 Can anyone confirm this
  8. Which fuses did you remove EFI 1 & 2?
  9. Ok checked fuel at the end of the injector rail and its getting that far Just done a charge on the battery to make sure its not that
  10. What i did was have the car running then use a long screw driver and put it on the tensioner then your ear on the other end and you can work out where its coming from and i believe its a new tensioner your require.
  11. Cheers lee will check the fuel tomorrow night and hopefully someone can tell me the connectors i need for the sensors
  12. Interesting would like to hear opinions on this too but the pipes just run to the in and out of the heater matrix so i dont see why cutting the matrix out would cause any problems?
  13. Ok been cracking away again tonight trying to work out whats going on so just updating the thread incase anyone has a simular problem Checked for spark and got a nice big one which scared the crap out of me, Cleaned up all the plugs and coil packs and all working ok. The sensors which are not connected at the moment are ECT Sensor and ECT Sender Gauge Connectors both need rewiring but would this stop the car from even starting? IF they are does anyone know the connector part numbers?
  14. make sure you secure your bypass (my car running like that too) as the last thing you want it a coolant pipe popping off
  15. Have a search for learnkey stuff to ive always found them very good
  16. Can anyone help me out and just disconnected their two coolant sensors (the two to the left of the top rad pipe) and let me know if the car starts? Would be very grate full (i'll paypal you a pint lol)
  17. Yeah doesn't sound too bad to me, a nice weekend job and save yourself a fair bit Does anyone know if its normally always the actual matrix that fails, is it never just the pipes?
  18. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=127044&highlight=heater+matrix There you go
  19. Ive been looking in to this too as mines gone and it doesnt seem to bad £100 - £250 for the matrix and then just strip the dash off, if you search someones done a good guide on how to get to it all.
  20. wouldnt the 12v fuel mod override this though? I know the sensors arnt connected at the moment as someone had done a bodge job on them before and i need to replace the connectors and rewire them.
  21. can anyone point me to where i unbolt the fuel line i.e. picture Also when its undone do i just crank the engine see if fuel comes out?
  22. Can anyone recommend anything else i can check Ive checked all fuses / relays in the engine bay and under the kick panel Tried the 12v fuel pump mod to check the pump and i can hear it under the engine bay Check ECU for error codes I get a error 22 but thats just a coolant sensor (that wouldnt stop the car starting would it?) Checked the engine earthing Checked it was in park When turning the ignition I can hear the relays switching. Is it possible to check the coil pack for a spark on your own without someone firing the ignition?
