  1. Thank you for apologizing above. I hope the points i made today for you guys at 11:07 help to produce a perfect run everytime as i aggree that the DD dyno's are one of the best out there and wouldn't want dodgy runs to shame their name. Interesting comments on Jays car. Not sure how the car will be detting if it was as rich as you describe and the recorded EGT's were only 750c but im sure your data capture is far more advanced than the AEM logging and knock control which is setup.... Looking at Jays graph again though i must admit it does look like a knock volts graph! I understand a few people have asked you already if they could hire your dyno while i map the cars and you declined which is a shame but i wish you the best of luck in what sounds like a good project you have. Ryan
  2. Blimey Johnny how many cars you going to have after you get the V6 back lol Ryan
  3. When the Party at yours then mate?
  4. As I have spoke to Andy Jnr in the past and found him a nice chap and it seems he does a lot for the club I thought I would post the things I was going to try and say on the phone. As some of you know I use a Dyno dynamics dyno nearly all the time when mapping down south at SRR and here are the points I would look into as I feel the dyno could benefit a lot of people up north. - Dont use the Tacho signal input as explained in the thread above. - Set the rpm against the ecu reading from the laptop or the Tacho in the gear you are running in - Make sure you up rate the those fans. (dastek make one hell of a fan which you can purchase on its own) - Do the runs in 4th (cant do them in 5th as a DD can only go to 150mph) - Use both straps on the DD power bar - Fit an External wideband to log against plots and give the customers Do the above and Im sure it will be a cracking setup DD Dyno’s are one of my favourite as Mike guinea knows (Uk distributor) Ryan
  5. Michel if they had issues setting it up for Jays car i wouldn't bother taking yours when its fully mapped. Unless you want to pay £40 to ruin your £200 tyres going by how it was setup for Jay. Just want to add im getting involved in this as the way i was spoken to earier really annoyed me by a member of the miamigt team plus i feel sorry for Jay paying for a what he got. Not sure why im bother to help now but guess im like that. The reading for the RPM on the runs was taking from the Tacho unit add on with the dyno dynamics. This is not wise on the supra unless you fit a ht lead between the coil and the plug as the ignitor output has lots of noise on it and can cause issue's like Jay's and the other car above. It will be even worse is the car is wasted spark also. With the rpm signal like this it will cause the dyno to vary the load and cause all sorts of issues. Also i see you want to be supra specialists, if so i would invest in some better fans not Gym fans as you will find that the air temps will be ridicious otherwise. This was why Jays AFR were slighty richer to just keep the cylinder coolers. Ryan
  6. As Matt has said above i was shocked at how soon this turbo made boost seeing as it is not exactly small This run was in 4th but 14psi but 3800rpm is not bad for a turbo this size. Gaz1 t67 was only around 300rpm quicker but that does have a leaky BOV at present. Enjoy
  7. If a Car is strapped down properly it should not damage the tyres. I tried to speak to Andy (senior) about Jays run to see if he could give me more info to why the Run came out like a etch sketch or if he could provide an AFR curve. But i dont think i will bother again . Having now spoke to 2 Qualified dyno technicians we spotted what the issue is but im sure Andy's 25+ years dyno experience will shine though and spot it. Good luck in the future though P.S Make sure you turn the fans on for all the cars.
  8. Aem only reads to 10:1 The only way i can see it going this rich on the dyno is if the air temps went over 60c as i set the fuel to go rich then as a safety measure. When im next up in newcastle Jay were go over to Andy's place together and then see what happens
  9. Issues with fueling???? Looks spot on to me when i left it The issues i think was some one not knowing how to strap a powerful car down on the dyno seeing as they have only just got the dyno and Jays was i think the first car on the rollers. Ryan
  10. Looking forward to mapping this What injectors did you fit in the end Charlie?
  11. You cant do supra's in 5th on DD Dyno's due to the Dyno not being able to go above 150mph. Ryan

    mapping today

Nice to meet you today Gaz and thanks for the Subway foot long:d Took a while to get it on the dyno due to some 'Special' TF wiring that i didn't like but we got there. Thanks also to the AFR team for looking after me and must say having Subway round the corner is a winner for me P.s I saw your video me in the passenger foot well so no posting on here
  13. Roll on 20PSI! Was certainly impressed with the whole setup today mate. Ryan
  14. WTF. Did somebody say Wheel spin!! I have worked with DD dynamics LOTS! and you should not be doing a supra in 3rd. Ryan
  15. Just keeps getting better this car
  16. I would look at a gt35, t60-1 or T61 with some 650cc injectors on an Auto
  17. Sorry to see this Shaun Did it damage the twin turbo's aswell . Maybe time to get a single turbo kit through the insurance
  18. Dont be stupid Jake. Get rid of the Auto!!!
  19. I thought they would have fixed that !! I remember it having to be like that when it went to Thor but all it would take is for them to put a Circuit Opening relay that is linked to the STA signal so when the engine is running it activates the relay and turns on the Pumps. You could then just wire a direct feed from the battery. Ask James @ ToyotaGT for a Circuit Opening relay and i will sort it out for you one night as that is not Safe matey. Ryan
  20. They are not the 540cc then as they are low impendance
  21. The Resistor pack would be on the back firewall probably. To Check the impendance of the injectors which would make life easier for finding out what injectors they are, pop a Multimeter across the 2 two terminals of the injector and measure the resistance. Under 6 Ohms they are low impendance over 6 ohms they are high impedance. Report back Ryan

    My New Toy!!

Hey Andy Yh is good fun but will get better when the weather gets warmer. I think i saw you yesterday in a scooby when i was leaving witney at around 4.40? Looked nice TBF Ryan
  23. They look like Denso 540cc injectors (these are Red and fade like yours). They are used in the Rev3 3SGTE engines and in the UK spec 2JZGTE but not sure if they are red in the Supra's. Denso 540cc's are Low impedance so do you have a resistor pack fitted? Ryan
