  1. No worries Mate Get that Vid of Ian starting his jet engine up bud. And also update your car http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=129455
  2. Was a good weekend, although i was absolutely knackered. I think mapping 6 cars in 2 days was abit much Had a nice chilled day today ready for what looks like another crazy week. Michel's car was errr abit crazy. My laptop was filthy when mapping his car as my hands were sweating all over my white laptop. I thought after mapping John's mr2 to 450bhp that was fast but damn once it made traction its was crazy. Would like to see the top speed it will do at 8000rpm in 6th I think soon i will be purchasing a vvti supra as driving the one at the weekend was pure bliss. Pop your car on here michel as well as any other owners who i worked with at the weekend http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=129455 Ryan
  3. Im Away Sorry TLicence lives in Oxfordshire and knows TT's very well but im not sure he will be in a good state on sunday as its his Birthday on saturday

    Vroom Box

Group Buy anyone ? I really want my kit car to sound like it has a 1.1 fiesta engine in it
  5. All depends on the Jet size used as Meth is a fuel so burns and will make the AFR read richer but most kits these days will not affect the average wideband as the water content with the meth adds o2 to make it equal again.
  6. Damn right i mapped it that rich when i saw the fuel pressure dropping like it was on the gauge as thats enough to worry any mapper but Could i ask that you dont bring the car on full boost as i said when we met as although the knock sensor warning works well you could be doing damage. Again though, im not sure why the knock sensors will be flashing up knock as i pulled around 7 degrees on load. Could be ghost knock.... or the AFR's are going lean which i why i said when i first left the car not to bring on boost until an issue has been found as IMO something is still changing the fueling when it is overwelmed by heat. Ryan
  7. Ok need to reword my post, unless i have just found a way to split the hydrogen and oxygen in H20 through the exhaust system. Basically the wideband oxygen sensor reads the oxygen levels in its environment. If water is entering the exhaust system at the top of the downpipe system which is alot hotter than 100c then the water turns into vapour. When it turns into vapour it is still H20 but IIRC the oxygen sensor cant read the hydrogen but picks up the oxygen. But a sensor will not last for long in the this sitution and water in the exhaust system is one of the main reasons for Oxy sensors failing. Just to add also on a supra with decent coil packs i have had the mixture as lean as 17:1 with no missing on cruise but over that and the engine will definatly spark to miss, so if it is going off the scale lean which is 20:1 on the aem and still running alright then something is 100% compromising the AFR reading. Ryan
  8. After 50c there is no correction. Set it this way when first saw the problem. Trust me, this is not a map or ecu related problem. Im going to think about this abit more over the weekend on the way to newcastle as something is getting effected by heat but there are alot of very good points being made. Ryan
  9. Charlie is right it will make it read leaner as the oxygen content of the H20 is released
  10. There is no Oil temp correction map on the Powerfc.
  11. Its not going to be the water temp sender Dick. As that correction will only ever add fuel. And when it was orginally mapped with homer i have logs showing a good 89c all the time. As well as when i checked the problem over first. Mark is going to send me the stats he has done showing the car going leaner with increasing oil temperature (starting at 70 and going off the scale by 82), and that the AFRs start to come back as the oil temps cool in the same fashion Ryan
  12. Just to add also i have only mapped one race car which had a oil temp correction map so that when the oil temps went above XXX then it added extra fuel to cool the cylinders and set a lower rev limit to protect the engine.
  13. Ok im confused lol Basically i cant see how the oil temps can effect the a/f and i think this is why others are making jokes. I have alot of respect for Marks work but just confused by when the oil temps go over 70c the fuel required is ALOT more as it doesn't just go slighty lean it goes off the scale. Now if it was say that when the water temps or air temps went over say 70c degrees it went lean then it could be due to the ecu or map as could have a bad checksum in the temp correction causing it to take away fuel but i have been over your map many times and after 50c temp there is no correction applied. Before 50c there is only fuel added. Having also checked your datalogs of when the problem occurs there is no change in the water temp or air temp. The only last thing i can think of is the battery voltage is dropping when the problem occurs and the injector battery offset for the injectors are wrong which cause it to remove fuel. Ryan
  14. Man.... you dont have much luck Keith. Hopefully none of the fin that was knackered went into the engine Ryan
  15. Im still not a fan of this setup Mike, If you didn't have the knock control and FBW i express my thoughts alot differently like with the DT maps Just be careful, Wideband O2 sensors dont last long with all the condersation in the exhaust on a cold morning and i wonder how quick the FBW and Knock control would react if it did go again and pull 90% at 6k rpm... Roll on Marham though. Have you booked a hotel yet?
  16. Thanks Pahil Good Man, thats another thing of the list. Pop me a pm with price etc mate Ryan
  17. If you have one spare please get in contact Ryan
  18. Think they are too expensive chap, You can by these brand new for just under £300 But make sure you get them cleaned and flow tested
  19. Good Work Chris! Im really trying to find time at the moment to trailer my Kit car up to you but this time of year is just so hard to loose 5 hours to travelling. Dont suppose your coming down to Oxford soon to catch up with Frasier and would have time to work your magic on my Formula 27. Ryan
  20. What a Bargain! Say £400 to replace the stem seals, £300 to tidy bodywork and then £50 to jezzy for a new set of clocks and would easily be worth £13,000 + Jokes aside though with an engine like the 2jz-gte and the Getrag box i wouldn't really care about the miliage. Ryan
  21. If its just to activate a relay then you could use the FPC output if you are using a powerfc as it sends out a 12v signal to the fuel pump ecu when an RPM is achieved. Please note though this is not the 12v feed which the fuel pump use. It is just an activation signal to switch over the pole in the Fuel pump ecu. B+ is the supplied 12v feed for the FP. But if you dont get the Powerfc Steve then a HS drive can be activated from the Link ecu when it see's an rpm signal. Ryan
