  1. Doubt i will be TBH, well not this year as will be working with the laptop but maybe next. The cusco cage we used as a base is T45 2.0mm thick IIRC thats legal but the cage will be FIA scruterned afterwards anyway so will soon find out.... All the other T45 i have is also 2mm and its the same stuff pro-drive use as i got a discount under them EDIT: just checked rules and as we have altered the chassis we would not be allowed to enter anyway.
  2. 23-01-09 Today we crack on getting the rest of the floor removed from the car to make up the space frame. As the engine has been move back 14" we can to obviously move the seat etc back to go with it. This also mean move weight over the rear wheels also. So the day started off with removing the front part of the floor. After it was cut out i then had to drill out all the spot welds on the side sills to ensure the frame has a good strong structure to weld to. These front parts of the floor weighed 11kg each!. So with the rest of the floor bits removed we have lost about 50-60kg. We estimate the new floor will be around 30kg. Then move on to the rear of the flooring where the passenger seat is as that is roughly where i will be sitting After all the floor was out and the spot welds etc were remove we cleaned up all the surfaces ready for some tack welds to get everything were we want it but seaming it all up. The Box section and T45 was then needed and all measure up. We then did some dummy fits to get the seat position right and the prop support in the right place. As you can see the prop now sits ontop so will be making some trick bits to make removing it easier. Then test fitted a seat to make sure the driving position was good. We ended up at 11pm last night happy with the base to the frame and will now be mocking up some more supports next week and gusseting in the base frame to make sure it links to the cage and chassis making the car solid!. Right im late to work Ryan
  3. Stay with 0.8 - 1.1bar caps. Any more pressure and the heater matrix, stock rad and much more will be at risk of cracking espically in these cold nights. Ryan
  4. Hi All Got one of my old Mr2's available for anyone who fancies building a cheap track car. The car has already hit a few tracks in which it drives great and has served me well as a daily drive for over 6 monthes but i need something more sensiable for a while now so its up for sale for cheap due to the problems listed below. The car is a 1993 Rev3 2.0l Mr2 in tintop format. Done 93,000 miles 12 Monthes Mot 5 Monthes Tax New toyo T1R tyres fitted Eibach springs Apart from the above it is stock. Now the reason the car is so cheap is recently it has started to use a fair bit of water and i suspect the HG or Block has cracked. The car still drives fine but just needs topping up ever 150 miles to stop it over heating. 2nd hand 3sge engines are always available alot of the time free or for around £50 on sites like http://www.imoc.co.uk and http://www.twobrutal.co.uk from people who have fitted 3sgte's or V6 engines so would be cheap to replace and then could be stripped out. Has a couple of rust spots also on the offside sill but is only surface rust as i can sand it back to clean metal. If your interested pop me a PM £500 Ryan
  5. You always get this with the VVTI. Went through a whole tank of fuel to find the best setup on the dyno and every time the power drops so i would put it down to the head design differences at first guess as the VE drops in the engine and you have to pull alot of fuel. Seen it on alll the vvti's i have done.
  6. Bet the back end was fun when that happened. Well held i would say
  7. Hi Imi The car is a VVTI and before when running the motec it was not controlling the variable valve timing. Now with the Solaris fitted i wired it up so that the ecu controls the VVT properly and it was mapped to best suit the single turbo. Due to the ability now to be able to change the cam timing so that its advanced on spool and then retarded at the top end to gain more power and torque. Ryan

    Blackwidow Supra

Graph added to my site http://2bartuning.com/dynographs/
  9. Done, http://2bartuning.com/dynographs/ Please note all though, Jamie is using a Greddy intake manifold which seems to have been designed and flow tested well for the 2JZ but you will not get the same kinda results from a Ebay manifold. All the Supras i have done on them have lost alot of midrange. Ryan
  10. Sounds like the Greddy Inj Adaptor 2. Has 6 green wires and 1 red IIRC If it is you need to keep it Ryan
  11. All Done.... Finally Road tested the car yesterday after the dyno mapping and also setup the knock control. Traction control will be setup with Steve as i don't like cars being driven that hard to cause traction lose without the customer. Idles lovely now from cold and hot now that it has Idle control. DBW is only used for Idle though as the ecu takes better control of the knock and traction through pulling timing and fueling accordingly. Even shuts down a cylinder if the knock level ever gets to high on a certain cylinder as it is running individual knock control now Ryan
  12. I havn't with me but could grab one tomorrow after work if needs be but its looks like this but put together
  13. Im in if the car is done and fully setup
  14. Hi All Have a spare Hks triple plate clutch which i was going to use in my track supra but decided to go for something abit lighter as i dont need something that will hold 700+hp The clutch plates look like they havn't been used and so does the flywheel but as i was sold it as used i will have to sell it this way also. They are about £1200 delivered new so i will let it go for £450 Ryan
  15. Thanks chap but I only press a few buttons, you are the one who has done a superb job of fitting it all etc. p.s the seats are lovely
  16. Leave it alone mate!! The car before was a flying machine as proved at suprapod just leave it be now as for me that power curve is one of the best i have done. I know you hate it when you havn't got a car to go play with and if you go for more power and start breaking things etc you will only loose interest like the Red car. Leave it alone to the end of summer i would say. Ryan
  17. Man! i wish people would read what i have said instead of just looking at the pretty pics See below dude. Sorry to pick on you but i have had enough of repeating myself now Weight wise with everything added we think around 20kg now with all the extra stuff

    T45 tubing

Hi All I am going to be needing some T45 tubing to finish the rest of my rollcage and wondered if anyone had any good contacts for supplying this and if anyone else building a track or drag project who needs some tubing also then let me know as it will be better to buy in bulk. Ryan
  19. 720cc ideally mate as 800cc are abit too big for good control on a EMU
