  1. It doesn't slip it just first starts to wobble around and then falls off. The wobbling part is the worse bit though as incorrect timing info can be given to the ecu where the air gap is changing rapidly
  2. I run them at 14.7-15:1 off boost depending on the rpm and load Reason they are hotter on the Solaris equipped car is also a part of the reason why they make more torque and spool up quicker as i set something slightly different which is used alot in the racing world and it works wonders with the 2jzgte. Your Egts are low as you only run of the wastegate rick not 1.6bar
  3. As i have said many times Jay. Move the EGT sensor to one of the exhaust runners. Measuring the EGT in the turbine housing will always be 50C+ hotter as its the first restriction in the exhaust system and this restriction causes a massive hot spot. Hence why the turbine housing is Cast. Turbos are designed this way as its the heat energy which essential drives the turbine. Ryan
  4. Have updated Steves dyno plot on my dyno compare site
  5. Can you get any older !!!!
  6. Definatly get no1 on the intake changed Steve, abit too tight that.. Also when changed do a leak down test of the engine if you can to see if the valve seating has been affected due to tight tolerance. Ryan
  7. Knackering day as usual! Some other figures from the top of my head Gledo GT4094 1.7bar - 683bhp - 560ftlb Magictorch TTC Mapped 1.25bar - 431bhp - 440ftlb (believe highest TT figure ever at SRR)
  8. Off the top of my head... - 5 Angle valve job - Replace stem seals - Light porting - Flow test before to see where any gains can be had - Flow test after plus loads more but cant think of it this early lol Yes rubber grommets will be used but dont want to use them just at the moment while im making the loom as if you start putting things through them and then removing, it only makes the seal worse Ryan
  9. Not sure exactly what brand it is but its assembly lube
  10. Rest of the Alu panels are now sprayed and fitted All the Braided brake lines are now done also and hooked up... just need to tidy the brake pipe routings with some P clips now. Also started making up the new wiring loom in the cabin. Last but not least got my head back from Swindon Race engines who have done one hell of a job. Just need to get some New head bolts and fly wheel bolts and it all goes back together.
  11. Bosch 044 on order yet?
  12. We got an LMP car on easy and that has about a 20mm ground clearance
  13. Will more than likely hook up a mechnical handbrake which is removable Sorry Jay, got them with the calipers which came from Mr lover IIRC. Would say the discs weigh abit less with the alloy centers
  14. Little update as my work load has changed alot now the nice weather is about but have now fitted all the brakes and mounted the pedal box back in. All the braided brake lines are being made up on tuesday and then i will get the brake system totally finished.. Also got some white tigerseal and tidied up all the joins Cant beat the sun shine though and a spare 2 minutes with a nikon d40
  15. Is your alarm linked to the B+ system at all or does it cut into the FPC wire?
  16. There is definatly a difference in the ratios guys. I have some logs of Tony's car which has had a 6sp conversion but still has the auto diff... His top speed in 6th at 6800 is only around 180mph. Also another reason im sure is because everytime a supra with a auto diff comes on SRR, the RPM vs Speed always has to be changed alot from the normally supra ratio Ryan
