  1. BTW Rob, had a cancellation at 11am on Wednesday if you fancy getting the car mapped sooner
  2. Still after one. This is what i need highlighted below
  3. Right been on the phone to Tilton tonight to talk about master cylinder selection and the possibilty of going for a tilton 600 unit as i dont seem to be getting anywhere with the current OBP setup. Got the day off tomorrow to have another quick look at it and try some bits they suggest. They asked me to fill out the info in the form below http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=faq&view=9 After filling out the form for my setup they suggest i go for: (btw put the car weight at 1400kg with fuel and driver) Front: 0.750 Rear: 0.700 They also worked out the front Uk calipers need 550psi of pressure and the Uk rears need 591psi of pressure. Currently i have: Front: 0.700 Rear:0.750 Below are some pics of the way the bias is set at the mo which based on what Chris and Tilton have said is wrong at present. Tilton recommend between both the clevis for each Master cylinder it should be around 2.5" Its bloody useful that OBP gave no instructions for there unit! Need to measure tomorrow the current pedal travel and also see if the pedal pivot crosses past the level of the pedal also. Any input or anything that looks wrong let me know Ryan
  4. Does anyone know the piston bore size for the Uk Front and Rear Calipers? Im trying to do the Maths for my correct master cylinder sizes and need to know this ideally Ryan
  5. Thanks Chris. Im getting there with this pedalbox!! Many thanks for all the advise over the last week with it chap
  6. All the cage is going to be padded with FIA padding for the side support but the main hoop is actually directly above my head. It was one reason we couldn't put the engine back any further because my head would actually be behind the hoop. Its a Sacrifice of moving the engine back unfortunatly. Yup Maybe Llandow next year lol
  7. Only a small update........ Engine wise need to sort the power steering cooling, oil cooling and hook up the header tank. Then its a case of fit the turbo intake piping and spray the cam cover white. Few issues with the pedalbox at present but its all trial and error with the cylinders at the moment. Thanks Chris Wilson for the advise BTW
  8. Yes it is. Although i have just looked at dont have the headphones which are supplied in the kit but they are only some cheap units anyway and i would recommend using some noise isolating units. Ryan
  9. Brought this to test a while back and now have been giving a few through work, so have one available for sale. After £110 Details on the unit below. Works Great! http://www.phormula.co.uk/KnockAnalyserPro.aspx
  10. All the IC piping is now made up bud, but thanks alot. We have left one of the support bars on the manifold but agree it might be a good idea to add another from underneith as there is a fair amount of room underneith now. But its more weight Plus i cant see the egt getting too hot when im going to be running about 15% meth and hopefully E85 if i can find a good source. (hence the overkill on the fueling system) Would just fit some 1000cc. Cabin heat we will just have to wait and see. Will grab some pics of this next weekend chap when i finished the WI install etc
  11. Well after 7 hours of swearing and ranting its finally in Massive!! thanks to Steve for helping to the end. True legend. Here are some pics from the day. Before anyway asks.. Yes the cam cover is going to be Sprayed White!! lol Just need to connect and tidy it all up now.
  12. Engine is finally ready to go in today... hopefully!, Just pray everything fits around the steering column cover. So last bits done on the engine was finally finish the shimming process. Massive thanks to Tony with this for surface grinding the shims and helping throughout. Cams fitted Time to put all the new seals on covers etc from engine gasket kit and time it up Then new shorter belt which removes the A/C Finally the Loom Wish me luck today and hopefully some fitted pics tonight!
  13. Yup servo is long gone. Got a longer throw pedal box to accomodate. Catch up Paul!!
  14. Yes the lower one is the return and from the picture again i can see your point but the engine is on a 30 degree angle on the engine stand which makes it look like it dropping below the oil sump level which as you said is not ideal at all. With DBB turbos having as close to vertical is not requires as much as the normal journey bearings as the pressure out of the return is so small with the DBB restrictors on the feed. Prefer if you point out stuff like this mate. I am bound to miss a few things
  15. Can anyone help with this http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=2396749#post2396749
  16. Need some help guys. Seems i have lost the male electrical connector which pushs into the connector on the fuel pump hanger. Need one asap with some flying loom to be to join to also Ryan
  17. The pic definatly makes the pipe look high due to the angle but its pretty much as high as the compressor housing. Plus with the engine being further back there is alot more room in height back there. Good thinking though
  18. Mr Oakley, you are correct that the colour black does absorb every wavelength of visible light and with this high level of absorption it creates heat. But your nice shiney chromed up blinged intake manifold on the other hand would love a coat of a nice white wrinkle sprinkling as it reflects nearly of these wavelength of light and with the wrinkle finish the surface area is also smaller so this is also a bonus in battling heat aborbtion. :D:D P.s dont polish you intake manifolds :p
  19. Always worth flow testing and cleaning any injectors you buy. More so when New as they have been sat on a shelf for years no doubt and are known to stick open or closed or just get clogged up where the anti sieze fluid goes off. Some Sard or PE injectors can be over 6 years old these days.
  20. Would say 2. Will check to see if you can get it in silver
