  1. It looks laggy because where the car is wheel spinning so badly it causes tue rpm to increase so fast it hits the limiters and ends the run! The car is easily 1000bhp+ but trying to put it down on a Dyno is a nightmare! Roll on Tdi! 1000@the hubs!
  2. Daryl, Steve Fearless is popping over for abit of mapping after so you can all get to hear a V8 Turbo Ryan
  3. Very good advice! Seen it happen twice now on the dyno, One got away with it the other did not and was a complete rebuild
  4. Well seems I am having no luck with this engine!! The ls400 engine I brought had a Soarer sump already fitted but when the clever gent decided to fit it all he reused the oil pickup gasket and when I first fitted the engine it never got oil pressure well after messing around with the oil system for ages a month ago before I found the problem it seems where it was cranked and ran for abit without oil pressure it has knackered the buckets in the engine and now the car struggles to get good oil pressure when hot. So engine out again! Will get there some time this year !
  5. I have not seen any and doubt it could be done safely as you would IMO need 2 sensors for each butterfly to ensure maximum control and safety
  6. Oh yes the gent who helped me is a legend with this stuff!!
  7. Now i cant think of another time i have bad mouthed someone apart from Dan turnip on a forum but TTC Performance have annoyed me soo much. I have never delt with a company who have not listened one bit to what i have said and just brushed off my problem with crap excuses!!. Basically 2 monthes ago i finally finished all the V8 Installation and got my v160 all mounted up and working with my custom flywheel. After starting the engine i could hear a whining. Spoke to a few friends in the industy who know there apples one of which is Chris Wilson and it was seen that either my Gearbox was faulty or the adaptor plates are not positioned right... Spoke to Eric @ TTC and basically said the situ and gave him the benefit of the doubt that it might be the gearbox as it was rebuilt. So got another gearbox from magictorch which i personally mapped and knew the box was sweet. Popped that in and it still was whinning!!! So spoke to eric again and he said nope the plates are 100% and that 40 cars run these and had no issues. Now i have mapped 2 cars with these adaptor plates so said yes i know they are normally fine but mine are not as the dowel locations have been messed up in the machining and helicoiled again to move them... Eric suggest this is how they are all done!!!! WTF.... Some real quality work there... He are my plates as i recieved them and a vid of the whinning which only was there when the gearbox was turning. Dumping the clutch got rid of the noise… http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a346/Fletchy/?action=view&current=SAM_0158.mp4 Soooo decided to get the plates, engine face and gearbox face investigated using a Faro arm which Eric stated they were originally measured up on. Well we found the plates to be 0.7mm out on the centre!! We even found that the plates are that well designed that the starter motor hits the gearbox!! Had the Dowel location moved properly by a local engineering and no more whining!!! Now after giving all this data to Eric he was still not willing to pay out for the damage done to the gearbox and also send me a new plate! Just stated send plate back and if we find it out we will replace. So £100 down on posting back and still a knackered box.... GREAT! So word of warning would be to avoid TTC Performance products!!
  8. Update the car is ready for mapping... Finally!!! After 3 monthes of messing around with gearbox stuff to find out why my gearbox was whinning it turned out to be the TTC Adaptor Plates!!! 9. I run twin walbros in my race car and mapped probably over 40 car which run the same and never had an issue with the densos or walbros but the Bosch O44 are abit different in Jamies case as the motors are huge in them! I also knew Jamies car was not ecu or map related as he is actually running your map just tweaked on boost And i have personally drove your car for over 3 hours on the way back from dyno. Top speed is good with your diffuser btw
  10. There is lots of failsafes with DBW!! Espically on DBW strategy on the Life and Syvecs Ecu's as the LMP cars run DBW and life put every failsafe in possible to ensure no lose of control. For example as a minium the Pedal needs at least 2 Positioning sensors which are all linked into the ecu for an A+B validation which if one of the sensors goes out of a 4% range of the other it goes into safe mode which limits the Throttle to around 10%. Then the Thottle has the same setup with at least 2 sensors again which do the same as the pedal. It also measures the flyback voltage to the motor to ensure if the throttle gets jammed it will shut down the engine. Then what you can do with the control is quite amusing. For example on a turbo charged race car when you lift of the pedal and depressed the clutch pedal you can tell the throttle control to go wide open and add shit loads of ignition retard to have a proper antilag setup. This is what the new F1 car will be all aiming to get right when they start using the turbo engines to ensure that they have maximum power all the time. Turbo tech will certainly go mental when f1 start using it again. I cant wait!! Ryan
  11. I have sat in the car and watched it happen. All the closed loop trimming was turned off, Fuel duty was constant and also logged everything to ensure that maybe battery voltage wasnt dropping and causing a difference on the injector dead times and this was fine. Also at the point of when it happened i changed out the loom adaptor and also tried another ecu which was dead cold to ensure it was not the injector drivers getting overworked. Also checked that there were definatly the right impendance injectors. When the problem occurs there is a note change on the pumps so i am sure that something in the fuel system is causing the issue hence why i said change the pumps. I thought it was all sorted and got a txt of ricky to say thanks its fine now but obviously not Even though the fuel pressure remains the same on the fuel pressure gauge it doesn't say that there is still the same supply of fuel to the rail... I remember seeing this issue before on Homers old car which dash render then owned and cant remember what fixed the issue but it was something to do with a the Fuel pressure on his. There is definatly something up with the fuel system tho as rickys car has 1600cc injectors and at 750bhp the injector duty was like 80% which if correct was right his car would be pushing around 1280bhp. At the time we thought Injector clinic had sent 1000cc injectors but i not so sure now.. This is 100% not Map or Ecu related as i gave up half a day of my time to investigate the issue. Ryan
  12. Lots of big power guys must have these spare. Hopefully not thrown away. Chris wilson, LeeP, Whifbitz??
  13. Must feel nice now at that boost
  14. Here is one from Stuarts drag car when it ran a 9 sec flat. Got loads more but this one is amusing to look at how fast it picks up speed. Its only a short one though as the logs are pulled straight after a run. The S6gp has 1mb of internal datalogging, the M600 only has 512kb so thats will be why you cant log for long. The S8c which is our top ecu has 8mb of internal logging which will store data for nearly half a Lemans race and to this date i cant find an ecu that comes even close for the cost. 9 second flat 157mph.zip

    Supra!

Once that exhaust is changed i reckon it will make another 10hp. Its only 1.75" pipe in some places!! They sound the nuts though! Thanks to doing your car it gave me the drive to work on mine last night and i think all the leaks are sorted so its ready for the dyno too. Ryan
  16. I have one from a Manual N/A £20
  17. Also you would want the second pump to kick in based on injector duty cycle. Most Ecus can be set to do this Ryan
  18. Syvecs has engine trips for oil, fuel and crank case pressure as well as many more for temps. I.e if fuel pressure drops below a set threshold the Ecu stops the engine until it has had a power cycle. I don't know any other Ecu that does this tho so other Ecu owners would have to source an external unit to do it.
  19. Stu went home with a nice 1st place trophy and some money. Still love that it's on v power The 8.8 run was with a 1.5 60ft also when the shocks are set right stu is going to have to careful not to go past 8.5 as his car is tagged to that!! Congrats mate
  20. Stu's just done an 8.8!!!! Class record!

    Supra!

You are going to need to get some Coil on plugs units J for the engine when you turbo it. The dizzy and coil just only about cut it to about 8 psi. Also i would 100% recommend making sure the car runs knock control with the stock compression ratio and a turbo. Be worth asking Lyndon which is the best firmware upgrade to go with this also as Links firmwares are known to fix one thing and break another. If they cant get the individual knock control on the ecu then sell it and get a Syvecs like most of the other V8 which are turbo'd as there is a reason why Fearless car had survived the ring twice now i believe and he is running 1.2bar on a T78! Glad you finally listened on the V8 front but man why did you have to get a car that looks identical to mine!! Guess when all the youtube videos come out i can say yup thats me driving Ryan
  22. Im running 7mgte's for now until the built engine goes in and i go mad The 7mgtes will do 550bhp safely
  23. Just after the unit as a customers is screwed beyond repair Let me know what you have Ryan
