  1. average twice a week, but i get to go in some fast cars with mapping so makes up for it.
  2. Gaz do you wink after every sentence Have you got Wink stutter? Anyhow is that map classed as finished on your car?
  3. Oops didn't see it was your BD when talking a minute ago Have a good one
  4. As said in pm mate if it's missing slighty off boost also i would switch off RLTC and see if disappears. If not exspect its probably a cooked spark, What AFR are you seeing when it does miss on boost?
  5. When mapping cars i always use my innovate but have found the vems to be just as good as use one of these in my own supra
  6. I prefer to map the car to all areas as then nothing can change on map if wideband resistance changes. I also find some of the narrow bands slow on feedback for closed loop.
  7. All depends on what gear were talking about though i exspect jakes talking about 3rd or 4th, in 6th i exspect it spools alot quicker
  8. No way that is possiable bud no matter how good a intercooler or chargecooler is the intake temps will always be around 10c more than outside on a very good setup. What u have probably seen is air temps from dyno graphs where the operator puts the intake temps to the same as outside.
  9. Pretty good is a understatement the air temps were fantanstic and im trying now to source just the greddy core. Have managed to find one for a skyline of mate so will try that as my intake temps are about 10-15 higher. Air temp outside yesterday was 21c according to bbc and jakes intake temps were constantly around 35c at 1.4bar Has to be one of my favourite cars as well thought out car in all areas. MPG should be alot better now bud as afr were just too rich on dans map for cruise
  10. I would look at a vems wideband bud Simple, very accurate and great price http://www.vems.co.uk/wideband.html Also has thermocouple input for egt sensor or air temp sensor linear wideband output and uses reliable bosch lsu sensor insteed of ngk sensor which are slower
  11. Where do u guys get them from and do u know part number? Ryan
  12. Jakes car is running Forged pistons so probably running a higher compression ratio, Its also got hks exhaust cam fitted not sure about intake. Yes is also vvti and makes a good difference in torque. His turbo also has a bigger exhaust housing and he is running more boost than me. I can not run 1.4 bar at mo as clutch is slippy at 1.2BAR+ Still have standard clutch and no time at mo to change due to mapping nearly every night. But i wanted to see what power the standard clutch could take and its held up 503bhp at 1.1-1.2bar for a good time but does not like 1.3+
  13. Glad u got it back graham Sound like its too rich at low rpm, creates a jumping effect. Can get rid of that at SSR day
  14. I WANT JAKES CAR!!! Made mine feel slow Roll on rolling road day as i exspect great things from this car Ryan
  15. Brought these from the group buy and look fantastic but have choose to fit some rings around speedo as like the black sleek look. So just want back what i paid for them £36 Here is a pic below Please pm
  16. muffleman and gaz1 i will add more to this when i get back from holiday as Girlfriend aint happy with me at moment and has threatened to throw laptop into sea lol
  17. Thats your car of my list of stuff to do when i get back
  18. Have just seen the box bud when dave should me some sound clips of how good it was but we didn't get to what sensors it uses and where they were placed. i have seen other boxes that are very similar that i have been asked to try so might see what they compare like to knockbox I have pmed patrick so i await prices thanks tho bud I did some research on it last last so will look into one in future.
  19. Have not seen dave for a while now but when i last was at motec in banbury he did show me one yh. I want to see if he will let me test one to see how i find it as not had much luck with all the other flashing boxes that tell you when your getting knock . cant beat the old ears in my mind but have heard from a few of the good mappers left out there that their worth there penny. Was a good sales pitch tho Does it use the standard knock sensors or come with wideband ones and then you hook on. Sounds good about JAE i will be there. Have you guys got a stand this year. Ryan
  20. Tbh i absolutely love them and so do customers when its comes to price. I cant think of many ecus out there at mo that can match the spec that they offer and realiability for the same price. For a supra i would go for the link plus as would not have to run wasted spark then like you would on the clubman g3 and the good thing also is they comes with a built is 2.5 bar map sensor for boosting up to 1.5 bar. Hey lyndon good to see you on the mkiv forum bud, you thinking of upgrading your mk3 to a almight mk4 Will give you a ring when i get back of holiday mate as was wondering about the link on a auto. Only point that worrys me is the standard ecu pulls alot of timing away on gear changes to keep the stress down on the box and have seen in the states that alot of boxes have gone bang after this stress is introduced from not pulling timing. I believe lyndon was actually trained by link guys, so certainly knows his stuff with them. Lyndon also to add steveb mx5 made an impressive 245bhp on sat. Good work

To datalog and link a innovate to it you need the datalogit kit which is used to map the ecu. Ryan
  22. Dave Rowe is the reason i dont do motecs very often as he is just too damn good with them and i always want the best for my customers. But he wont touch anything else!! He was the man who taught me the basics back when i started training

Depends what boost you want to run matey the standard map sensor reads to 1.1 bar but can be made to read more ever so slighty. If not then its a denso 2.5 map sensor needed or gm 3bar map sensor if your going to map it then your need other gear but if not then no. its plug and play
