  1. Can Really see here how the stock cams choke up with larger turbos, afr go alot richer. Was going to finish tweaking the car on the rollers as up at that rev range on the road this thing is an animal but we were only able to get one run due to the rear tyres catching the wings very badly were the car was strapped down. i can certainly say this car "burns rubber" As some of you may have seen i was really gutted about this car as all the cars i map that went on the dyno i pull 4 degrees of timing on the first run and then increase till the car makes no more power with no det this is when the car is at MBT. So there is alot more to come, I reckon 640@fly easy but with a set of 264 and race fuel well
  2. Also i would like to add that i was shocked at the splashes of det at the change over point on the TT's at bpu. I would deffo recommend getting a e-manage or standalone to fix this as its not good and were not talking about some little pings of det either.
  3. O crap where was it, forgot about that was too busy trying to chill you out about the dyno that forgot to put it back in Thought you had parkinsons when you were sat in the car with laptop
  4. Thanks daryl for graph will add to collection Afr's will always read richer on dyno daryl if road mapped due to less airflow on dyno
  5. Was good to see ians and homers back to back, the cams deffo do make a good difference. I was impressed with what he has done by himself espically as he drives the car while mapping it also Deffo recommend him for any piggyback work I think ian said his wastegate seal was leaking so will not help but there was deffo some lose in midrang. I wonder if my trick in daryls map helps while the boost is building with midrange as certainly helps with the spool time.
  6. Good job daryl on organising the day Still annoyed with mr keefs car would be easily 650@fly if i got more than one run to bring the 4 degrees of timing i pulled back in ( do this to find MBT on the dyno) and the fact that the tyres were hitting the arches. Ow well he only wanted 500@fly Apparently keefs cars set the record for stock cams tho
  7. Great Day guys Im absolutely knackered, Some great figures today espically for the hot weather and the fact the dyno said the Intake temps were 23c more like 40c, well thats what homers and mr keefs were. not Might, DEFINATLY went way to rich when boosts comes in. Were chat up soon
  8. Please pm me if you have one available
  9. Great car! Owner is good friend of mine and the car is an excellant example of a Proper modified job. Has also been mapped by one of the best in the business
  10. Yup i run one of these in my car fantastic bit of kit with programmable output etc but i have used the thermocoulpler input for monitor intake temps as have greddy egt gauge. These are the gauges i recommend for fixed installs I ran this back to back against my innovate which i use for mapping and its just as good.
  11. Does your car feel noticable quicker now Wez with the cooler intake charges? as i feel it is a good mod for a supra due to there problem with engine bay radiant heat and heatsoaking
  12. Water injection setup can be abit of a pain to get right and the new aqua mist kit have certainly helped the process due to the ability to being able to change flow rate etc in the car. I have found on alot of the cars that i have mapped with water injection that when its just pure dist water or say water +20% meth the afr tend to read lean and this i feel is due to the buring on the h20 releasing more oxygen content. But i find when using a 50:50 mixture or more meth that the afr always read richer as this is due to the extra fuel (meth) being injected.
  13. Morning Daryl Will add another degree for when the temps go over 50c bud, On the hard runs through to 6th the air temps just seem to shoot up i feel that the airfilter is just becoming over welmed with all the heat in the bay. I think a nice cold airbox and some small bonnet vents like Ian c is a very wise move in future
  14. Was a shocker with regards the fuel line and pretty scary but glad we fund it tbh. Had to show daryl how it felt in the passenger seat after.... He looked alittle nervous Pulls sooo hard, just needs a set of higher ift cams now as you could see how restrictive the stock ones are after 6k and some sort of bonnet vents to get all the hot air out of the engine bay as the air temps get abit on the warm side after a while. My gt4088 feels slow now
  15. Yup It all depends on what ratios of water and meth you are running to how the afr are affect if your running a 50/50 mixture in my experience will always read richer as your adding more fuel (meth) but i like too keep the afr good without WI and then tweak meth/water mixtures until its how i like it

    Mapping Costs

I think you guys has miss understood the way i worded that post basically im saying that Matt H does not have to go out and buy a wideband in order to get his car mapped as all mappers should have there own wideband which they swear by for mapping others car. I will edit the post now just so its doesn't cause any more confusion for people
  17. Are good find Wez, My search engine skills are crap. All that Boolean logic
  18. Had a Look on the FC-datalogit forum and could not find any info on this but if the gauges are like other apexi stuff they supply a linear output. Have you not tried putting 0v = 0c and 5v = Max temp on gauge I would just use that and then tweak the numbers until it matches with gauge
  19. Correct meths make the afr readings richer as you are adding more fuel. Meth is fuel. If a car is mapped to 11.5 and then you run say a 50/50 mixture of water and meth your find your afr now in the low 10's. You can then pull abit of fuel out and add more igntion timing to benefit more gain but there is a risk as if the pump fails.......

    Mapping Costs

Ianc Gets my vote for an emanage deffo knows his stuff and got great feedback. All mappers have there own wideband which they swear by for mapping other cars so Matt H should not have to go out and buy one but always good to have as a safety measure in any car
  21. Your be needing stabilisers next
