Damn you Wes beat me to it again I do agree tho daryl that the vents are before the turbo and intake manifold but the vacuum created really does pull that hot air out. On mr keefs car who has a bonnet very similar when mapping his car we pulled into the petrol station and temps barely increased and then on the road they were down almost instant. Just so you know on the way to the rolling road i was seeing around 45c at intake manifold and keefs was only like 34c. And this is the same with charlie's car also, Both have aftermarket bonnets. I have helped my intake temp by some advise of charlie by placing the airfilter high in the bumper and i have also put 3mm washer to raise bonnet as wes has said but still not what i would call ideal. The emanage i agree with you on Ash but the powerfc was a great ecu for a low cost programmable unit just lacked all the fancy stuff like antilag etc but the link g3 plus is on par with a motec m600 and is 100% an upgrade for a AEM owner. Seriously look at the spec of it which i have posted in first post on this thread and your understand why. Im not going to spend any more of my time going off topic with this but maybe speak to some other mappers out there on what ecu they would choose and i bet the word aem doesn't turn up. Glad this was kept playful

This is being looked into in the next coming month by me and the uk distributor Ryan

Some mappers can map them but dont want to because they want to keep their name good and only put their services into something that is reliable and not going to go wrong and take an engine with it. You may have a AEM ecu and have not had one problem but the limited amount of decent mappers out there for them certainly shows you why alot of tuners dont map them. I know probably the 5 best mappers in the UK and none of them will touch an AEM. And the down grading comment certainly shows how much knowledge in this area you have. Motec, link g3, and autronic is where i would be looking for a build like. But it should always be choose your mapper and let them choose the ecu. If you want dan to map it get an AEM Ryan.

My only advise is to look here http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine-management/Wire-In/linkplusg3folder/linkplusg3 Get rid of the AEM ecu and dli pack and buy a link plus, come home with around £250 of extra money in your pocket. I dont understand why so many new builds are buying these ecu's. They run a badly designed wasted spark setup with ignition modules having the wrong dwell scopes hence needing a DLI. Just to add to this i have had a link g3 lem (£500 ecu) to a supra and ran up to 1.2bar with no break down of spark - No DLI needed. With a link plus its sequetial all the way! Ryan

Jake mine was leaking when i first got the supra. Took to mark @ phoenix and he replaced both the seals for a Very good price. Is worth doing both the selector seal and the rear prop seal 9 times out of 10 tho its the selector one. Dont leave it too long as the oil will start to damage the gearbox mount Ryan.
