  1. I can confirm that his car makes boost at 3800rpm in 4th but I do remember yours being slighty laggier than suprafan72's. This would have been down to the way the cam timing has been setup from when it came over from japan as they were revving it to 8k before i mapped it but i then lowered it to 7k as was not sure on the spec of the engine. (this does not mean go change the cam timing to advance them as the map will change) Also your rev counter over reads by 400rpm as i remember the dyno operator letting off at like 6500 rpm (ecu) when we were mapping it, i asked him why him why he was doing it until i relized he was seeing near 7k on the counter
  2. Start off by reading this http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h26.pdf Then any questions fire them on here 2jzgte uses a stepper motor Ryan
  3. I got your PM KDW on friday but i am away mapping at the moment so only able to get on here briefly. Powerfc's are design to be plug and play units for the car they are designed to run. So where you used to have a Skyline it ran the 2 x AFM's but a d-detro version was offered for skyline owners to junk the AFM's if wanted. The Powerfc you have on your car is a JZA80 model which Ap-engineering designed to run the Jspec 6sp cars. These cars run a map sensor based load system so the ecu is designed to cope with that to make it Plug and Play. In answer to your other pm questions. The Map sensor you have on your particular car is a 3bar map sensor. So it will read to 2bar of boost. You can get larger sensors but im not sure how far you are wanting to take your car espically if you mentioned you want to run more than 2bar of boost. 2bar of boost on a T51 will be enough Ryan
  4. The reponse jay was talking about Mike is just the acceleration enrichment for his larger TB and Manifold. You would rev the car from idle or under 3k and would delay badly. With a larger opening more fuel is needed to enrichement the mixture on sudden throttle movements. Jays needed a fair amount of fuel to create a good burn. Would just keep going lean and stuttering before. Hopefully it will be dry in areas tomorrow to feel the cars full potential.
  5. Hey Jay Glad your happy mate Took abit longer than exspected but this was no tweak, started from scratch basically. The old map is now in my recycle bin Was very happy when i got the throttle response good as you did say i wont be able to do it. That made it a challenge Couldn't believe how hot your turbo had been getting never seen a exhaust trim that white in my life but what do you expect from 1100c EGT's. All sorted now though. Highest Peak was 930c on the long 5th run now Cya tomorrow mate, Off out with JJ tonight

    aem

Wiki time Wayne lol COP = Coil on Plug (direct Spark), Aem runs wasted Spark Datalogging which is part of the ecu tuning software makes life alot easier when mapping or trouble shooting as when you scroll back through the log it relates to the cells on the ecu. Saves you having to look at the load and rpm etc which is nice for people when wanting to tweak anyting on the ecu or just see what is going on. The aem can follow but cannot relate to logs. There are a few other teething problems with them but alot alot better from when i looked at them ages ago and thought they were crap. Mind you there are still lots of other better ecu's out there but at this price its a steal Ryan

Holy crap that cheap! The new firmware update on these ecu seems to have made them alot more reliable as the old firmware when i first looked at them made very unreliable but have not had one problem with one recently. Only a DLI issue But AEM still shot there self in the foot not running COP and not placing the logging into AEMpro software with active map trace Ryan
  8. Suppose your need the spare shell if you let your dad drive it again p.s Just got 4 R888's for the track next year also. Remind me to *tweak* your map if we are ever on the same track Mind you the mid range grunt you have will help the spins
  9. Blimey your going for it then next season
  10. Blimey Jay was not exspecting yours to look like mine. Looks like something has Been through yours aswell. Mind you I came into a problem with a phr kit a month ago when the wastegate jammed open. A Nice piece of weld popped out when I pumped the valve open to un jam. Had to look again to make sure it was not a xsflower one Ryan
  11. Hello From Scotland Just waiting for plane Home Anyway mine went due to welds falling apart from crap xspower manifold But would bet big money yours is down to the 1000+ egt's This is why Antilag and 2step can kill turbos as the egts created to make the exhaust energy for spinning up the turbo quicker will just kill the exhaust turbine Will chat up with thread later when i get back to oxford
  12. Ok Im off now but wont be back on till tomorrow night as mapping in scotland tomorrow so if you would be interested in the offer, could you ring me please. Will pm you my number Ryan
  13. Steve Would you take all 4 part worn tyres for £450 Ryan
  14. Wasn't trying to make EA sound bad was just offering the ability to check your car against others on the thread i posted if closer to you then
  15. Get some new tyres that dont melt You might have those Thailand Eagle F1's that were kicking about a while ago as i dont have problems with my eagle f1's but yours just kept slipping. Ryan
  16. If im not away mapping i could possiable come along but wont be able to do much on a dyno day mate with your car.
  17. You Guys should pop round to Surrey rolling road for the Day, Could then compare your cars to the following thread below Plus Charlie only charges £35 for 3 runs with nice booklet showing hp vs torque, hp vs AFR, Rwhp vs RWftlb and hp vs Boost http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=128998&highlight=ryan+srr
  18. I agree Engine dyno's are great yes espically for Normally aspirated engines but with Forced induction motors you cant just say hold 1.3bar at 5000rpm for a couple of minute while you trim the fuel and Ign like you would with an N/A. Load cell holding on a dyno dynamics or a Dastek is not as good as an engine dyno but still very good for most applications and no way a nightmare. Ryan.
  19. Would Help if they were both on the same Dyno. I just love the dynojet figures also
  20. Although the motec has the shift Retard function as well as the Autronic. It seems there is no way to trigger it to tell the Ecu to pull the Timing. The only Motec i know of on a Auto does not use the shift retard but then it has a Built drag box which can take the strain on the Sprag. The Link G3's could also be used on Auto's now as found a way to do the shift retard but the problem i have come into is there is no way to trigger the ecu from either a falling or raising edge. I looked into this yesterday on Wes's N/A Auto and was very disappointed that i could not find a signal to trigger it. Not sure if the TT auto will be different in the way it controls the solenoid to tap into the feed to see a signal but its not looking good. I am still going to look into this more with another mapper who is very good with this kinda stuff though. Ryan
  21. Made that at 1.3bar bud but ran out of time to pump up the boost anymore. But 448bhp at the wheels is enough for the winter Ryan
  22. Do you have a link to this Rob as i feel that there is actually quite abit to gain in the mid range and not ruin the top end with aftermarket cams pulleys when non stock cams are used. Ryan
