  1. How many times has this question been asked. Do a search!
  2. It can with the datalogit
  3. These types of questions are always going to create mixed opinions as sometime the budget plays a key factor in the wanted answer. A full standalone Ecu is always going to come on tops in this argument of which is better but like anything in the wrong hands a product can become shamed. I think of a Powerfc as kind of an in the middle ecu as all though it is fully standalone, very reliable and perfect for any supra (Not Auto’s). It is not as advanced as say a Motec M600 +, Link G3 Plus, Autronic or an Aem with the added features they hold. I recommend them a lot though due the fact that they come out most of the time a lot cheaper for buying and mapping but still create the final result. If an owner has just a BPU Supra and they want to keep it that way and gain abit of HP at the top end plus remove some of the nasty spikes of det which occur on the turbo change point then honestly I would 99% of the time point them in IanC’s direction as I have done many times as in the right hands it can be very good. I could not sleep at night unlike another mapper I know making a BPU owner pay 3K for an AEM, DLI, decat and mapping only to gain 30bhp and run like crap. But if you are thinking of going single then the Powerfc wins hands down especially with the commandor and knock light setup. Sorry Ian
  4. Im not sure your going to near 450 @fly James probably around 430bhp but i do suprise my self sometimes
  5. Is a Good thoery See what Ian Thinks though as he know alot more about the seq setup than me
  6. White Line is TT standard turbo, TTC @1bar
  7. I run a stock FPR and still have the pulsation damper in place also I personally feel the stock item is better than most Aftermarket FPR anyway. Ryan
  8. I do agree about the cylinder temps Blimey that is shifting a serious amount of air for 76% on 650cc injectors. Just looked on my datalog for my T61 and im using the same amount of fuel at 1.1bar @ 6K (11.4:1). At this point mine is making around 525bhp Ryan
  9. Yup most of the Street range RPS is reworked stock items
  10. Intake temps both the same just checked logs. Have you seen the size of the fan at SRR?
  11. Agreed Also Ian if you want to see the timing map just let me know via e-mail. As im sure some BPU owners with a EMB or EMU might like to try it. Also if you have some datalogs of TTC and Seq have a look at the INJ Duty on both to see if they are the same as i seriously found the TTC to flow more at Top end. I was abit shocked to find it TBH.
  12. As SimonB mentioned earlier on in this thread about when running in TTC it normally makes more boost, i found this the same with Cheekymonkeys car as well as my own personal car also. To make the comparison fair then with the graphs attached in this thread i added the extra duty with the boost controller to make the Seq Mode run the same boost as the TTC was running but found i was unable to get in as much timing (1-2 degrees) at the top end and that the EGT's were hotter also with the Seq setup. The funny thing also was that the Injector duty was more also in TTC mode meaning it was supplying alot more air. The main aim of this test though yesterday was not the final figure it was to see how much midrange was lost with the TTC setup after mapping to suit and we were all very pleased to see that after some adjustments had been made to the Ign and fuelling. I must add again tho that on a stock ecu you will not get the same results! Ryan.
  13. Yes Fly I dont think it will become much louder TBH with you as you will have to fit a restictor ring further down the exhaust anyway to control the boost. If Wes can get away with the noise of his silver car then you will be fine. Ryan
  14. On one of the sheets Charlie gave you it will be on there. Think its the last page normally. Plenty more to come on this setup because was in a constant battle with high egt's due to the 1st Cat restriction so had to richen off the mixture at the top end to around 11:1 Ryan
  15. Have you done any work with the Seq Setup Dick back to back with the TTC setup as i was quite surprised how much more timing i could get in with the setup. Although the boost levels were the same it also flowed alot more air too in TTC as the injector duty was higher and reached my max safe duty level at 1bar (87%) Ryan
  16. Same Boost levels Only difference is i was able to get more ignition timing in on the TTC setup at the top end. Ryan
  17. Please note that just running a Stock Ecu in TTC mode will not produce similar results. Alot of ignition timing work is needed to produce a similar setup. Ryan P.s Loved the Car!
  18. Thats is the right turbo for you Si with the 2.2. Also dont forget your car revs to 8k
  19. I thought Ian had a DBB Alex?
  20. Arrh so it was you who brought it Dean. Saw this when mapping Roberts car, Great bit of kit. Shame they cant be got hold of any more
  21. Yup IanC has this setup is the Dark blue line on the graph. If you click on the graph it opens up in a new window which allow you to expand the image more.
  22. 1000+ Deg is Bad. Doesn't matter if it is a stock engine or Built, anything over 1000C is going to start melting things. EGT Probs should really always been placed in the manifold approx a few inches away for the head but some people place the Probes in the Exhaust housing of the Turbo which most of the time shows around the same EGT's if not sometimes higher (depending on the AR size and manifold design) than in the manifold (Stainless steel) due to the restrictive elements of the turbo and the cast metal which retains the heat alot more in that Area. I tested this on a car i was working on a while back where we were placed a sensor in the Turbo Exhaust housing and in the manifold (stainless steel) to compare. With a first decat in place i would want to keep the boost down to around 1bar ideally as too much exhaust gas heat will start melting the internals of the Cat which can then cause a restriction. Ryan
  23. If i was going to Single turbo another Supra in the future i would like to try a T67 DBB on a custom cast manifold. As the T61 and T67DBB seem to be close in the midrange on SS manifolds. Smaller Single turbo's like the t60-1, t61 and gt35 that i have mapped always have issues with traction in the first 3 gears at full boost which IMO can be annoying when getting off the line. But easily solved with a Speed Dependant Boost setup and R888's Then they are just incredible!
