  1. If you have a stock exhaust system then you will be running stock boost. So the exhaust energy will be less
  2. Count me in If its alright i will bring my F27 Blackbird kit car
  3. I Would move your egt probe to your 5th or 6th cylinder manifold runner as i think you will be in for abit of a shock. Normally the hottest place in a turbo exhaust system is at the turbo exhaust housing as all the heat energy combines here and hits a restriction which is the turbo. Bigger Ar housing cause less of a restriction so less heat builds up then. I always recommend fitting the EGT probe in the runner but some worry that it will break and go through the turbo. Fix here is buy a decent EGT probe. When the exhaust gas exits the turbo into the downpipe it generally loses around 150c-200c depending on wrapping, exhaust diameter and if there is a cat in place. BUT When a very restrictive 1st cat is in place the heat energy barely drops when it exits the turbo due to the pressure build up from the restriction and then actually causes the whole temp back from the exhaust port to rise. Measuring the temp at the 2nd cat is like fitting one of those narrow band o2 gauges. A complete waste of time! Based on other supra's i have seen which are only running 1bar with the 1st cat i would expect your temps to be easily over 950c at the manifold when running 1.2bar. Ryan

    tps setup

This is the way Toyota do it P.s I know this is not the same TB but its the same principle
  5. http://www.driver.ie/classified/data/44/DSC00189.JPG I would pay to see you in one of them Wes Get your little red and yellow clothes on and might be mistaken as noddy PMSL
  6. Is that a Joke? Have you seen how they handle the bags I dont let my mapping gear out of my sight
  7. I have not got a problem with them doing it but they all just seem to not give a shit about your stuff or you. Ric taking all my gear out of the bag would be taking the piss big time. I reckon all my sensors, wiring would fill about 3 of those plastic tubs and hold the queue for a while But again i dont have a problem with them removing it all but wish they would be gentle with it all. Im talking over £1000 of equipment so not your average set of det cans with rubber hose and some ear defenders.
  8. Today i have been mapping in N.I and had another nightmare with the F*%king Airport security but funny enough its always in N.I. A couple of monthes ago they stopped me as they thought my wideband sensor was a bomb . Took me into a little room and asked me what it was?, why i was in N.I?, what i do for a living?. I was getting worried that the rubber gloves were going to come out Ended with them making me send the Sensor in the post , So if it was a bomb it would be going on a Plane anyway.... THEN today They decided to check out my bag again which i have no problem with but the way they handled all my equipment was just ridiculous, you would think this retard had no hand to eye co-ordination at all. I had to stop them after they just threw my knock box into this plastic tub and i said could you be anymore gentle with my stuff. She then turned around and got another bag as i was apprarently being offensive. 15mins later she finally said finished and that i could put it all away now Rant over but anyone going to N.I beware of these retards in security (sorry if anyone works there ) Ryan.
  9. Hey Mate Check that the Main Relay is getting turned on. Plug E10, Pin 24 Should be 12v on that pin. Pinouts are below http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13918&d=1112558155
  10. With race fuel i would use only metal
  11. The solenoid which is used with the Power boost control kits is the same as the one used with the AVCR but the powerfc is not great at controlling the solenoid. I would go with the AVCR over the powerfc as it has closed loop control and can set the boost against the gear. Ryan
  12. I have played around with the AEM traction control but is a nightmare to get good on single turbo supra in 1st and 2nd due to the accel rate being so aggresive when slip and rpm is so fast. Got it good in 3rd but 1st is impossiable when you have so much torque. I feel the the best way to set it is as i did on Wes's through the boost control. Worked well Ryan.
  13. Nice results chap But get those AFR's double checked as it is very lean! That lean with the first cat in place will be producing some extreme exhaust gas heat. I mapped a similar spec'd car and had to keep the AFR around 11.2:1 with the 1st cat in place just to keep the EGT's to a safe limit. Ryan
  14. Nah dont worry about it the car i will be taking will only have around 180bhp
  15. Driving home for the night Tony, Wes and I dont exactly live down the road from Marham so we are all staying over. Not sure where yet tho but my drinking ban might have to be lifted
  16. Good to see some excellent attention to detail Rich Good job
  17. Hey Rob Please could you contact me if there is something that needs a quick tweak on your car. As this is the first i have heard of it and i like to make sure all the cars are perfect. Thanks Ryan.
