  1. What is the groove pattern on the tyres like.... ?
  2. Nice One Mate.. fingers crossed for you Friday, Im next in Line on Monday for my final map.
  3. Yeah he does tweek it as Dean Said... Mine sway from 1000 to 1100 rpm.. i guess my imagine is exactly the opposite to standard though as ive some pretty lairy cams in there.. Still though off boost driving aint bad at all.
  4. Very true.... So bigger does have its benefits!!?!?!?!... Still can be a handful if not controlled right.. I have a very lively right foot in 2nd and 3rd!!!
  5. Those are very wise words indeed.... Im fairly lucky that my car has a very high spec, including 6 and 4 pot calipers.. and expensive aftermarket suspension etc etc (which is all set up right now) It is a matter of practice and how to drive your car properly.. I've had a few sessions on a disused airfield near me.. where i have drove my car under different conditions with varying amount of throttle.. I know in the damp or wet i would never even dream of going on boost as the risk is too great... and it just isnt worth it, even if its racing an exotic (let them have the day) and get them next time!!!! All interesting comments on this...
  6. Hello mate, I can sort out one out.... mines tuned to 1.3 bar at the moment at 650hp... and im running the aem ecu
  7. From what Ash Tells me mate, your a mad bad ass with your new turbo LOL!!!
  8. I agree with what you are saying... I tend to be very over cautious in the wet and dont really want to go there. To be honest with the amount of power i have at the moment and will potentially have it would be sucide to attempt anything in the wet.. I can drive sufficicently in the wet off boost.... Yes theres no doubt RTLC is the ultimate in safety.. I was once in an RTLC Mr2 turbo and it was still scary in the wet.. I've just got my new Goodyear F1's all round and its certainly improved things in the dry allot and feels a damn site better ride.. Theres no right or wrong answer to this as this could go on forever... Personally i wouldnt want to be gunning it in the wet anyway... Its not you at fault its normally the other road user.
  9. Agreed 100 per cent.. What happens if u think you have RTLC on and it fails?? its electronic thinks fail and u still end up in a fence??? To me learning you car, not being stupid and driving with some sense is the key.. With me i will only go in boost in the bone dry, not the damp or the wet!!! Its a matter of common sense.
  10. it didnt work mate, and it couldnt be made to work...
  11. Been hearing allot of conflicting rumours about what are stock inlet manifolds are good for power wise before they come a restriction??? Thoughts guys?
  12. Mr wilson has kindly done the honours and it made the world of difference.. i will look at changing the rear tyres.... with the new Geo setup i dont go sideways thats for sure.. allways good.
  13. To be honest im very careful on boost, and allways step it in 2nd and 3rd.. and never floor it totally and it has to be in the bone dry...
  14. Thanks guys... Yes the pedal is i guess the only answer!
  15. I have took my RTLC off.. and just wondered what the other alternatives are to better traction? R888's...? Ive got my suspension sorted.. but wont to avoid the route of electronic aid's...
  16. I saw this on sunday, Even my girl said it was the biggest heap of Shite she has ever seen (and she is blonde ;-) I allso saw it run at Santa Pod a good while ago and it sounds awful!!! Never seen such a poor example of a supra!!!
  17. Yeah i saw it at the Jap show..!!! what a joke of a car... and its sooo slow!!!
  18. Well i turned up in the afternoon and couldnt get a reception to ring anyone.. i knew it was bad as i saw jamiep on the way there and he was going home (well he flashed me) Well at least me and my girl (barbie lookalike) managed a crazy udder milkshake....
  19. On the subject boost levels... Turbo sizes are different, engine specs are different? so its there a right or wrong boost level to have as so called "Safe"... Its mainly dependant to Engine Specs and Condition and Maintenace... At any Boost level there is a risk.. Obviously the higher it is the more risk is...
  20. That really is shocking..... I've never been an xspower fan..... i'd really not bother with any of there stuff. Yes cheap they are.. but can u really compromise quality when your tuning?
  21. I think we all need to remember here.. that YES by increasing the boost on any engine is taking a risk.... You can have the most perfect map in the world but forcing through allot more air into your car (making the block work harder) is posing a greater risk of engine detonation and internal damage to the engine and partially (i mean partially) the tune to how long it lasts... No engine last forever.. So personal attacks on people is well out of order.
  22. Nice figures mate... hoping to get arround the 650 to 700 rwhp when i go back to the dyno next week.. you have a lovely motor there mate.
  23. Are you running 1.6 on stock? what management?
  24. Damm well if i can manage to run 1.6 to 1.7 bar ill have another guy.. I was trying to beat homer's record but mines not the worst.
