  1. Not to sure i'd trust any ECU to learn especially if its dealing with different fuels on a single map

    mpg moan

Are you open to offers for your no plate mate? if so pm me... thanks
  3. Are you running a stock ecu? Check your plugs for fouling.... you could be doing more damage than good. Also if you have the wrong type of atmospheric dump valve that could make you run pig rich too..
  4. Does the Ecu have an auto tune facility?
  5. I'm using a 1mm jet which is the biggest size are most affective, Wez is right methanol as its high octane will make the lambda values very rich.... I find water on its own very effective, why complicate things by using a different type of fuel?
  6. Well just be careful... is what i would say..... it would be interesting to do some testing on the effects the lambda values go up and down with injecting various quanity's on methanol....
  7. I am of course using a big jet size for that.. but its very noticeable and well worth the investiment in my book..... I'd be careful using methanol as it could have adverse effects on lambda probe readings.. I.E reading false ones.... And we wouldn't want that now would we.
  8. Heres me thinking it was No1boyRacers New project!!!
  9. ive seen my egt's plumet 150 deg with water inject
  10. Im sure gaz or kev will be along to pass comments soon why it never made its debut?

Think you will find most bpu supras will get arround that.. 17 is good to be honest... the poople with higher mpg are the big single boys who dont use the turbo on boost.. so basically off boost driving.... indicates better enconomy...
  12. Damn Homer, 3 to the gallon.. i thought i had the record at 4...
  13. You don't know what Jurgen drives like And try 4mpg on spirited runs...
  14. Well i beat u all.. i got 42 mpg out of my 07 peugeot 307 1.4 s-line and it was wot all the way... haha
  15. Was nice to meet some of you guys.....(turbonutxx, Ash, Homer, Fish And Supragold had a great time... only wish mine was ready..... Next time my beast will deff by there... Oh dear, is it really bad?? I think there needs to be a new thread? Which Supra's will make it this year to JAE? the outside secure Car Park will be somewhat full with None Jap Cars i can imagine.
  17. Chris Wilson Did Mine, and it did make the world of difference on traction. the way it never went sideways when acclerating and the way the car handled.. I'd Reccomend getting this done.
  18. For a leakdown test you will need a calibrated pressure gauge and a pressure regulator and adapters to connect it to the spark plug hole. The adapter is then screwed into the number one spark plug hole (with cylinder #1 at TDC compression) and the gauge is attached.. Not sure what your TDC will be as its a built engine with different cams etc from the stock engine. As soon as the gauge is attached to the adapter air will begin to fill the cylinder. As this happens, the gauge will begin to indicate the amount of air flowing into the cylinder. If air is leaking past the rings, or the valves, or the head gasket, we can directly read the amount of leakage and can easily find the leak. If there is air blowing out the PCV, you have a ring leak, if it's coming out of the exhaust, you have an exhaust valve leak, and so on...etc.. Anything past 10 per cent you need to be concerned about... You need to do the same on all cylinders.. Lets us know the results for both... Will be interesting to compare.. Any help Jon, give me a shout...
  19. Would go with what Chris said... anything around 10 per cent on each cylinder is good for a road car... Being a built engine it may be less which would be excellent.
  20. Looks good jon, How many revolutions did you pump on each cylinder, did they rise evenly?
  21. Sorry to hear this Tom.. and i know the feeling i was so lucking forward to showing mine off... Sh1t happens i guess.
  22. Jon, The USB to serial isnt actually that reliable.. you need directly to plug into the serial from the ecu? Is this viable? I had no problem with this and couldnt get an immediate connection to the ecu
