  1. Yes there are companies that will do it so that your odo clocks up in miles and they can also adjust your reading so it displays the correct total in miles as well. So long as you keep records of pre and post adjustment and inform any sellers that the odo reading has been altered you're also completely legal. The company that did mine are: http://www.ncs-systems.com/ They converted mine internally to clock up in miles and then altered the display to show the correct total as well.
  2. If the engine I'd (briefly) had from him under his old trading name had been opened, ever, then I'd be amazed. I don't have a problem with that, as i'd rather have an un-molested engine, but it called all else into doubt too. I found out the 'under 30k km' part was bollocks after phoning SMR directly to confirm it. The engine itself didn't look too bad, but you're meant to be getting a low-mileage, bare engine, that's supposedly been stripped and re-built. I found that doubtful. As a caveat; that was about 2 years ago now, so things might be different, but I would check all aspects of what is being claimed before spending money.
  3. I thought it's the most accurate translation from book to screen i've seen. Where it does diverge from the novel it doesn't jar with the original concept and the casting was bang on too; except Veidt, who was too slender to be convincing. All the others, and especially Rorschach, were excellent. I was told that it was out by my brother, and dragged my wife to see it that day. Even she found it watchable, which is saying something, as it's definitly a film for fans of the novel first of all. Personally I think it's in the running for a Best Picture award and the soundtrack is one of the few from a recent film that i'd consider buying (lots of good older stuff there).
  4. See previous post to mine. I used one of their converters until I sourced a UK speedo. It is a good unit.
  5. They are exactly the same fit and mean you don't need to convert the speed signal in a J-Spec, as the UK speedo automatically turns it into miles internally. I installed one as well as altering my Odo to display and clock-up in miles, so there's no need for any kph-mph converters.
  6. Apparently the cat's now been influenced by all the publicity and is doing photo-shoots:

  8. The guy that I use for my Supra's work owns one himself and is a very good mechanic all-round, as well as doing bodywork and spraying (has a very good booth at the back of his premesis. The prices are very reasonable too. The business name is Broadoak Motors in Bradninch, so it may be too far for you, but I can pass his details on if you want. I personally couldn't recommend him enough. I've tried most of the other garages local to me and he's way out in front. He is very busy at the moment, but is worth thinking about.
  9. I hate to break it to you, but we're not a part of America (yet!). Hard to believe I know! Only because Americans are, like, everywhere and would whine otherwise. To the OP - I agree regarding use of (justified) sarcasm - just put in the basic facts and send it 'recorded signed for' to ensure you can prove they get it. non-emotional language looks far more professional if you ever need to take the matter further.
  10. Once they're off I can do either - whichever's easier. They should be getting done next week, so I'll give you a yell when they're ready.
  11. I'm about to have all my rear arms replaced, so could sent you those if you wanted? (Fronts seem ok, so they're being left for now)
  12. Well at least it keeps the money in circulation!
  13. Agreed - I waited until I read this: before I decided that they deserved to have been run over for putting so many peoples lives at risk who were trying to help them.
  14. The speed sensor's first output is transmitted along the blue-red wire that splits after the sensor. One branch feeds in next to the pink wire on the Odo and the other goes to the speedo. The Odo buffers and re-transmits the speed signal out through the pink wire, which is next to the blue-red input wire. The pink buffered output signal feeds the PPS, Cruise, Active Spoiler and then winds its way to the main ECU. If you want a speed signal that comes from source tap into the blue-red wire. If you are getting a code 42 fault you need to add a bridge connection from the incoming blue-red Odo wire to the pink output wire and cut the pink wire's connection to the Odo plug.

    Silly lady

Mentally challenged American:-"What's in our air supply... some kind of metal particles... to create a rainbow... in a sprinkler?" That's a very good question - what is in her air supply, because it's severely impairing her brain that's for sure!
  16. Items that have sold have now been updated.

    Hello all

That doesn't matter as the front spoiler will only deploy beyond 55-60 mph, or when stationary if you press the button. Unless you want to take speed bumps at the national speed limit. If you keep this Supe stock then it'll have no problems with any normal road furniture. welcome BTW!
  18. Right Hand Side, as in from the steering wheel on the dash (just below the air vent).
  19. The speedo is simple to get out - Once you've removed the cluster it's just a case of unscrewing some obvious screws at the back and then slotting the new one into place. I've already had interest in the speedo though, but I'll give you first dibbs if it isn't taken. It's designed to fit in the RHS dash panel, so I don't think it'lll fit without some work
  20. Sorry - it's wired into the loom behind the speedo exactly the same as a Thor unit. It's not an epic to fit though so long as you know roughly how to use a soldering iron.
  21. Sorry it took so long to get back with answers - I didn't get an Email telling me I had replies. It's the parts that have the elastic strip to hook onto the blind. They are attached to the boot itself. If you're still interested then it's still available?
  22. To be honest I thought it was quite funny and merely entering into the spirit of things - unless you think Clarkson for PM is a genuine political issue that is worth serious debate? It's not surprising to see the Daily (hate)Mail managing to find a way to rage and scream about it either. I'm surprised they haven't also accused the video of causing cancer from the way that article goes on. BTW I don't particularly like the current government much either, but give them a bit of a break for God's sake!
  23. One point this think-tank hasn't seemed to consider is where all these new people are going to park, commute and shop in the South East?
