for sale Yellow Bilstein Shocks, Top Mounts and J-Spec Springs.

Now provisionally sold. -
Must agree about the M8 - it's a total pain in the backside with traffic merging and departing from both left and right. Plus when you do need to change lane it's usually nose-to-tail traffic too. Worst part of my S-N drive when I go home and that includes Spaghetti Junction.

As it's on standard J-Spec springs no. The shocks affect the compliance of the ride - it's a better ride than standard shocks. -
for sale Yellow Bilstein Shocks, Top Mounts and J-Spec Springs.
Mike_Mac posted a topic in Parts for Sale
For sale are my Toyota Yellow Bilsteins, with top mounts and J-Spec springs still fitted. The shocks were purchased brand new from Nic and have covered easily less than 500 miles since I fitted them. Pictures can be provided if required. The springs are the ones that were on the car since I bought it and are perfectly serviceable. The reason for sale is that I have just fitted a CW shocks/springs setup, which is a bit softer. There is nothing wrong with these ones and they are in excellent condition. I paid £400 for just the shocks from Nic and am offering them for sale at £300 with the springs and top mounts included. Delivery would be on top and added once I have a Postcode to work out the costs. Any questions then please Post or PM! Mike. -
Same wheel as the 2002 Celica, so see here... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=157220&highlight=Celica Simple Cruise swap to keep CC useable: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425770 More details plus info on putting the correct shape cruise switch on: http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5623053#post5623053 The airbag adaptors can be got from Steve Manley (search for him) and you can find the part numbers on the threads I've listed (IIRC). If he doesn't have any then its a simple case of splicing in two wires - all the A/B wires are is a live and an earth. You will also find that the slightly smaller base of the MR2 wheel might not engage properly with the A/B Loom ring on the mount. I just made some extensions for it, which I then glued on so that it engaged properly.

@ Dangerous Brain - I see the point that you're trying to make, but don't agree, at all, with how you're making it. To imply that everyone in the military hierarchy is a "Knob End" in general terms is utter crap. There are good and bad officers, just as there are good and bad SNCOs and good and bad ORs (or politicians for that matter). I'd say across the board there are far more of the former than the latter and it takes good people at all levels to make the armed forces work. The key thing about our military is not that they don't think - there is a lot of thought in the military currently about the validity of our recent military actions, or otherwise. The key thing is that they keep those views within the military, because when a country's armed forces start interfering with politics it sets a dangerous precedent. Our military is deployed on the orders of an elected body politic. At the strategic level it is the British legal system, throught he AG etc, that should decide whether a course of action is legitimate or not. It is not the place of anyone in the armed forces to question orders passed down from that level; certainly not when you're at LCpl Glenton's level anyway. That is for people like CDS, CGS etc to raise at the correct level, within the law and the chain of command. The root of this whole incident is not the legality of the war in Iraq, or Afghanistan. Rather it is that this individual has chosen to make a political statement ONLY after he is brought back for Court Martial after TWO YEARS on the run. Funny how he's never said a thing until then isn't it? IMO he is a little scrote who is trying to weasel his way out of a deserved punishment by latching onto the 'Stop the War' argument. If he had genuine reservations about serving in the Middle-East then he could have submitted his notice and left - end of. On becoming a civilian he would then have been free to express any views he liked.

Having just sourced a set of the 9 spoke TTE alloys for refurb, but on taking the tyres off some cracks have been found on one of the deep dish rear wheels that don't look weldable. Does anyone have one of these they don't need, as Lexus want over £320, and i'd also have to refurb it to match it with the others. If it helps the set I got came with a spare front wheel and tyre which I don't need?

Yes - I don't normally hurry like that, but to miss a wedding anniversary because of a car show would have been catastrophic and it was nice and clear As it was, it was a good day overall and nice to see another Supe on the way home to top it all off!
-
Hurrying back from JAE yesterday and passed a Silver Supe with a UK scoop who had a quick play and a wave. Didn't see a club sticker, but if was anyone on here then cheers!

Another what - AbFlug car or thread about this one?

If they come with the caliper carrier too then i'll take it.

'They' also gave NOBR a good pasting about his 'Carbon-Fibre' Supra that was well-deserved. . Personally I find that site quite funny and most of the slaggings are the result of the owners of the cars being discussed laying themselves wide open to it. Most of the cars on there are very easy to poke fun at as well. Lee - as said it's your car and a paintjob like that will never be to everyone's tastes - so what? I didn't see any comments on PH that was any more than people who didn't like the car's exterior and said so. They weren't abusive or rude about it and to me there seemed to be more positive than negative comments anyway.

But square is sooo in just now!!

These guys may have a caliper on the shelf, as J-Spec brakes are common across the Supra and several Lexus's http://www.biggred.co.uk/

See here for Celica Wheel: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=157220&highlight=Celica How To: http://www.mkivforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=3340&highlight=celica+steering You can fit a cruise stalk or get yours working on the wheel too: Option 1: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=425770 Option 2: http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5623053#post5623053 Option 2 is far better, as it uses the cruise stalk that is designed for that wheel and it goes on far better. I've worked out all the connections and am just waiting to source the 98' stalk before I swap the resistors - it's pretty simple if you know how to solder. The airbag connector I managed to source from Steve Manley, but really its just joining two wires and the adaptor isn't necessary. One further thing is that the Celica wheel won't correctly engage with the clock spring in the steering column as it's a bit too narrow at the base. You could leave it as there's enough play in the spring to cope, but I didn't like it and built up the sides of the Celica wheel's base with putty which I then baked and attached with super glue - works well. PM me if you want more info, but those are the issues you'll find.

I think he's had a lucky escape - what an utter nutter!!

A bit of pressure from a G-clamp to free it up and then a good lube and overhaul should do the trick rather than replacing it:)
