  1. They mean her identity hasn't been released to the public yet!
  2. Mileage correction is perfectly possible on a Supra, that's why I specifically said that I got my mileage reading altered at the same time as the clocking up resistors were swapped. Mine certainly works fine. These guys are able to convert the odo to clock up in km (resistor swap) and at the same time adjust the mileage reading on the odo to the correct figure in km. This way the OP can keep his original odo and not have to hack about with his wiring loom. Simples
  3. I've had my Odo converted from Km to Miles, ie converted reading and also clocking up in Miles too with no problems. This company here: http://www.ncs-systems.com/speedm8/index.php?action=show&man_id=13&model_id=256 were the ones that did it.
  4. You won't get a ban for that. I'd be surprised if it is anything but 3 points and the standard fine TBH.
  5. If you mean the part that has the PRND2L symbols on it then i've got one - I'll be able to check it's ok on Wednesday when I go home. I'll then PM you if you want.
  6. Really sorry to hear that - I thought something like that had happened - there's lots of imperfections in that section of road and it is quite narrow, especially considering how often it turns and that there's oncoming traffic. At least it was just you involved and you managed to stay on the right side of the road. Hope you recover quickly.
  7. Sorry to hear that, but i'm glad she's ok and that's the main thing. I'd seen her about before, but never when I was in my Supra. My thoughts were that it was a write off too, unfortunately, as the front was heavily damaged - pushed back about a foot. It looked like it would have affected all the front end, but maybe I'm wrong and it looks worse that it is. Despite that the rest of the car had held up well. Do you know what actually happened?
  8. Looks like another Supra has gone west... I was driving home today on the A303 this afternoon and there was a green stock looking Supra with its front end damaged heading up Chaddenwick Hill just past West Knoyle. The emergency services were there and I saw a bloke standing talking to them next to it who must have been one of the drivers who stopped to assist. The front end wasn't really badly done in so I don't think the speed was massive, but that section can be a bit slippy. I hope it wasn't anyone off here, but I still felt gutted for the driver regardless.
  9. It is Christmas just now. He's probably got one of those 'life' things that people are always telling me about!
  10. PM'd ref main car loom (not the engine loom).
  11. After shocks the next most likely thing is your suspension arms and geo. My car felt like you describe and I never trusted it at all until I replaced all the rear arms, links and bushes. Although it was expensive it was well worth it and any car you buy instead may have exactly the same issue depending on age and how it's been treated. After I had the arms done I also put decent shocks and springs on and then took it to get a proper geo set up and the results of all this were that it transformed the car and i'm now totally happy chucking it about. I can't say how much difference it made. Plenty of other people have done this too as these are up to 17 year old cars after all and the suspension does wear. See thread here re suspension arms: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?119349-Suspension-refresh-(wishbones-etc)-The-results...&highlight=suspension+arms And here re Geo setup: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?157231-My-geometry-amp-corner-balancing-day&highlight=centre+gravity
  12. As above I am installing both into my J-Spec and need the switches to mount in the apprpriate spot. Anyone got one of either, or both lying around??
  13. My Black leather J-Spec ones are available if you're interested? PM sent.
  14. Same here - no problems and it does dry the bonnet off quickly
  15. Ideal - what do you want for them inc delivery? PM me your Paypal address and I can send you funds and the delivery address.
  16. As above I am looking to install the UK headlight levelling switch on my dash and then wire it into the motors on the lights. I need the dash switch, including its loom connector and as much of the wires as well as the female connectors that plug into the motors themselves, again with a length of wire still on them. Anyone got some, or all of these available?
  17. When mine went it was definitely the Oil Pump. That is also believe to be the cause of most, if not all FMS failures, due to increased pressure against the seal from a worn pump. The argument, which I think came mainly from the states, that it was the Crank Interface was largely discounted as being possible but very unlikely. This problem with pumps had been identified already, which is why pumps with modified drain holes are around (it allows more excess pressure to escape to avoid stressing the FMS). CW said at the time that the Supra pump has a very small drain hole. ETA - More reading here where this was discussed at length: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=108524&highlight=engine To summarise all 22!? pages there my engine was sorted out by its new owner by replacing the pump with a good OEM one after just changing the seal didn't work for me. If I were you I would check your pump is worn (just in case) and then replace it with a genuine OEM one, along with the FMS. The only question I would ask is what caused your pump to wear in the first place. Mine was due to crap getting into the engine from some head work (I believe), but it might be worth checking while you've got access to the engine.
  18. As Scott said if you've got any suspicions about your FMS then not replacing the Oil Pump is a definite false economy.
  19. It worked with what I typed too!!!
  20. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6361872964130308142#
  21. The limiter will be installed on the wiring that plugs into your cluster, so it would have to be removed or else the signal would be wrong within the UK speedo. As said I don't know if the whole cluster would work- I just installed a UK speedo in place of my J-Spec one
