If only they'd had some T-Cut it might have worked! Not the best thing to happen, but at least you've got her details and will get a properly repaired car back again. Look on the bright side and all that.

It was already too late for me anyway, because bl**dy Orange put the F1 result on the news section of my homepage Well done guys!!

That's because it's not on this site - try Mkiv.com here: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/headlights/index.html

I have been running a 406 1.9TD on 40% Veggy with no problems - lots on info if someone wants to give it a try. HDi engines are also not as well loved by the Pug community, as they can be problematic as they age from what I've heard. The old Bosch Injection Pump 1.9 TD is a good, reliable lump and Pugs look and go well. ETA: The website Michael mentions is well worth a look - very, very informative and useful.

I thought about this, but didn't want a car that looked like Belmarsh. Also with the Supe being so low I'd more likely only see their midsection. Plus I'd like to catch them regardless of if it's my car they're doing. To steveo - agreed on 'smash the camera' possiblities and unfortunately the only viable mounting point is pretty visible, but combined with another neighbour's system down the road I should be able to see the mongs who do it clearly if they do. Will need to start diverting money from my suspension renewal fund to 'CCTV git spotting' fund!

Although it's jointly owned by all the residents it's also a public bridleway and is a very convenient route for the local fields and playing grounds. Unfortunately these are used by the local kids to hang around in when they bunk off school. As all the latest keyings happened during the day it's my suspicion that some of these pratts are the ones behind it as some sort of sad 'dare' or 'credibility' thing. I don't mind dog walkers and pedestrians coming down it in the slightest and don't want to get all NIMBY about it. All I'd want is for people to respect other peoples possessions.

It's a private road that is jointly owned by all the residents, so I think I'm ok on this one. AFAIK most do report it, but I've asked for the Sgt of the local NAG to get in touch, so we can all put our point across to him. To BASHTHEBISHOP - They'd better hope none of the neighbours, or myself, catches them.

Probably going to get onto the council about lighting for the lane anyway, as it's bordered by hedgerows on either side and is very dark at night. I'll keep the lens size in mid too thanks.

Got crashed into from behind - anything to look out for?

etc etc. If he's genuinely knackered his neck then fine, but he makes no mention of it. Your post came across as advising him to claim, seemingly regardless of whether he was injured or not. If that's not what you meant then fair-dos, but it certainly came across that way. *CLEAR - EASE SPRINGS!* -
Some scrotum keyed the Supra (light scratches) last weekend, just before I had to go up away for work. I then came home on Tuesday to find the 406 had been keyed as well - 3 lines back and forth along the drivers and rear doors. I re-sprayed it at work on Wednesday only to come back and find a nice deep cut - this time on the Supra (pics below). It's been a regular thing on the lane where I park, as it's a shortcut for pedestrians to go from the town centre to the local park, so you get kids, dog-walkers etc all through the day. All my neigbours cars has been done over (some of them big-time) at some point in the last 2-3 years, but up until now I've been left alone. The Police have been sympathetic, but I'm not holding my breath, as this generally always happens to the cars that are parked up during the day, when no-ones around. I just don't understand the mindest of these people - Jealousy? Envy? Boredom? I mean what is their problem? It's got to the point now where I've just had enough of it all. I've only just about finished paying off the 2 years of debts from all the other work I've had to do on this car. I've still got a lot of work to do to get it finished and now I've got another big bill just to keep it looking presentable. It's getting to the point now where I just can't afford to keep on laying out money I don't have. SO... Does anyone have any advice on a good (and I mean able to provide good clear face shots at 100m -night and day- type of good) CCTV system. As you can imagine the neigbours are just as pissed off as I am and one of them has a wall that would give a clear view right up the lane, with power take-offs available too. I want to have crystal clear images to pass on to the local cop-shop if they try it again. Any thoughts anyone?

I won't be able to make it tomorrow (last minute work thing ), but I hope the weather stays good for everyone. Look forward to seeing the pictures.

Well before I was at 42 Cdo then!! I'm currently at Yeovil, but will be drafted back to Sunny Plymouth at the end of this year. PS - it's Lympstone . Is your mate going through training, or is he permanent staff?
-
That was probably my company, or unit then . When in '06 was it? (BTW the SA-80 fire was probably just to draw your attention before they got you with sticky-bombs:D)

Never mind a drunk. They've confused the Hell out of me sober!

If everything works out ok then I'll probably be at Exeter too and might be able to follow on to Barnstaple as well. All depends on when I have to join a ship at Liverpool, but I'll confirm that this week.

I wouldn't buy new anyway, because once cars have suffered their initial depreciation the prices are much more comparable. I'd also only get Diesel if you're doing quite a reasonably high mileage, you get a faster return on the economy then. Plus most of the older, mid-nineties, Diesel engines (Pugs especially) can run on up to 70-80% Veggy Oil with no problems. That can save from 40-50% off your normal fuel bill. I do circa 25K miles a year and my monthly fuel bill for my Pug 406 is around £160.

A37 just now is a real pain in the neck as well- and that was before all the flooding, so there will probably be a lot of standing water too. Mid-day at Exeter services should be fine - I'll be able to confirm within the next week or so once I get work sorted out.
-
Can't confirm yet, but Exeter is no problem. I just need to check whether I'm in the Country that Weekend!

Photoshop? Excuse me! The mighty MS Paint don'tcherknow!! Result of a (sadly mis-spent) youth.

http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25828 And also the subject of many threads, both here and elsewhere. Linky is a bit NSFW, as it's Barryboys, but you'll get the idea after a few pages.

Late joiner I know but: Depending on date/route etc I might be able to meet up with the group somewhere along the A38. I'm in Cullompton, but don't mind a drive out to Plymouth or Barnstaple (used to work in both of them - now at Yeovil!). It'll be a good chance to give the Supe a run, as it's been laid up for the last 2 months while I save money for the next round of work. I'll wait and see what route is decided on, but am definitely interested. (Cheers for the PM Blackie - )

Oh go on then (I had some spare time):
