  1. I've got the re-furbed then painted black H/L in mine, which will give you an idea of the look. See my garage.
  2. Like knocking on the door and having a quick word... Would mean that the Cause of an 'Offense' is removed, the recipient is left with a much better opinion of the Authorities, there's no further expense to the taxpayer in having to clamp/tow/take further court action etc etc. but, we forget that by doing that no target is met, no monthly bonus is achieved, a jumped up little tit doesn't get his authority fix etc etc. Far easier to meet targets rather than apply the rules with common-sense, fairness and a bit of give and take.
  3. They allow the coolant to reach a higher pressure than the system is used to. On older cars that can highlight any developing weak spots by blowing them.
  4. Difficult to say. I'd personally start stripping things out and looking for bad/loose connections myself first, before I took it anywhere, but it depends on your mechanical knowledge. There's plenty of wiring diagrams out on t'net to help you also. I don't know if there's any Supra specialists up near L & B either, unless you count Envy in Northumberland. Maybe someone else who's further North than I am now could help? If not then i'd see if there's any decent auto-electricians in your area and go from there. Mr T may charge a lot, but they should be able to sort it out as a last resort. Hope you get it sorted.
  5. Not if he was already trying to get the back out a bit I'd have thought.
  6. BUMP - Still looking. Anyone got a set loafing around after switching across to Thors?
  7. The Manu, O/D, Trac etc systems are all interconnected at different points and share many of the same feeds, so not having a working Manu button could be screwing up the O/D further along the line, as they all send inputs to the same place. I'd check the wiring/connections behind your Manu button just to make sure it's nothing simple and dig further if necessary until I get it working properly. If the problem still occurs with a working Manu button then it's something a bit more involved unfortunately. Let us know how you get on.
  8. No. I considered one of these prior to the supe, but the performance and handling (when spirited) didn't match the looks at all. Comparing the interior of the Coupe to a regular 406 isn't too bad, especially if it's leather, as the 406's interior is a nice place to be and the day to day ride comfort is really good too. TBH I'd get an NA Supe. Just as good looking, better handling, similar economy and far, far more reliable.
  9. Admittedly they can't spell Jesus correctly half the time, but the intent is there!
  10. They bother because there's always a bigger fool ready to get suckered! At least it keeps the monies in circulation by ripping off those too stupid to know better.
  11. The C-130 stores fuel in the wing spaces - that's what the flames you see are fuelled by.
  12. Does the dash light still come on when you press the button? If it doesn't then the two wires from the O/D button to the loom could have been damaged somewhere along the way - happened to mine a few months back, as the wires had come free of its securing clips, got caught on the lever's mechanisms and then seperated. New button assy's about £30 from Mr T.
  13. If you do that'd be great thanks! Let me know what you want for it, send me your details and I'll send payment.
  14. I've currently got a set of Thor ones in there. I got them specially made up with a rear fog warning light (anal I know!), but am trying to get more of a stock backlight effect to them, as I prefer it to the Thor ones.
  15. I need to source the acetate strip with the Oil Level, Pressure and Engine Management symbols on it - see attachment. The module that the strip sits in front of is fine - I just need the strip. Anyone got a spare one knocking about?
  16. How much I was hoping that the nugget driving it would roll it - bisecting the little tit hanging out the window!
  17. Cheers for that Blackie - I used to work at Chivenor, so I know Barnstaple (and the A361) pretty well. I'll give him a buzz tomorrow.
  18. Thanks for the reply. Who did that? PM me if you want.
  19. I'm currently working on an old celica of mine that I've recently reaquired with a lot needing done. I'm on a tight budget and am trying to keep costs down as much as possible by doing all the engine and interior work myself, but without scrimping as I want to get it as good as possible. One of the biggest jobs is refurbing the alloys. I've already removed the tyres and was going to strip and respray them myself, but I'm not too sure that the finish will last for too long, or be good enough. So far the best quote I've got to do them professionally is £52 per wheel, which I can't really afford. Does anyone know of anywhere that could be cheaper, without being crap?
  20. It's not even much good with the stock head unit, but once you've replaced that then yes it's just dead weight TBH.
  21. If you mean that as a blanket 'no trucks should be on the road' rant then I'd like to hear a workable alternative that would still keep the UK's infrastructure needs supplied in their place. Also take into account the volume of goods carried per truck vs them 'causing more pollution than anything else going'. Yes trucks can cause inconvenience to you on the road, but generally I've found the majority of truckers to be very good drivers TBH and driving a heavy isn't a simple task, especially on today's roads. To keep things back on track - Traffic Wardens will always be hated by the public so long as they're given 'targets' to meet, regardless of actual numbers of people parking illegally. That type of stupidity leads to just the sort of daft situations as you see listed above.
  22. Unless you're still using a stock Stereo then consider it your first step towards weight reduction and bin it!
  23. Any phots of the boot blind?
