  1. DON'T feed wild birds milk, or bread. The bread has no nutritional value to them and merely fills their stomachs, stopping them taking in other, more nutritious food. Milk can ruin their digestion if ingested for long enough. The best thing for most nestlings/injured fledgelings is, believe it or not, minced up Cat Food. It's close enough to what they receive in the wild to be accepted by their digestive systems. If this bird has a broken leg then it's quite possibly recoverable, especially if it's a fledgeling, rather than a nestling. The RSPB won't be interested, but there's plenty of animal sanctuaries that will. I'd have a look in your local directories just to see.
  2. If we call it a tenner with postage that'd be fine. Paypal ok? If so then PM me your address and I'll send you my E-Mail.
  3. I've just replaced these with better quality ones, but before I chuck them in the shed I thought i'd see if anyone wants them. Boot blind is in good condition except that something has been spilled on it at some point, leaving a distorted area on the plastic. Lower Dash panel in good condition. There is a hole where my Rear Fog Switch used to be, but other than that it's fine. Any offers?
  4. To add to that I think the bloke closest to the camera just Sh*t himself looking at that engine!
  5. Mainly to do with chasing someone abroad if someone pulls a fast one. However, the buyer has contacted me and so far things seem ok. Don't know if it's the same bloke as the link, but seems too co-incidental.
  6. I recently had these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=110256158673&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:IT&ih=001 up for sale with the caveat 'UK buyers only' with Royal Mail as the delivery option to the UK. Despite this some French bloke has bid and won. Regardless of whether he offers to cover the cost of postage I don't want to sell him the item because as far as I'm concerned it's too much hassle, with far less comeback and he's taking the p*ss. If he'd contacted me beforehand then I'd probably been ok. Is there a way to kick this guy into touch and offer it to the next highest bidder via second chance?
  7. Off the top of my head... Remove the fascia trim around the gear lever by gently pulling it up. Then unscrew the 4 (I think) mounting screws holding the gear assembly surround in place, which allows you to lift it away from the gubbins underneath it and access all the connectors. The blue connector towards the centre console is where the O/D wires originate, as well as the back light for the gear lever surround. The O/D wires are held in place by twist clips around the gear lever and can be freed quite easily. Then pull down the plastic sleeve at the bottom of the gear lever itself. This will allow access to two screws front and back on the shaft. Remove them and pull the lever away and you can see the O/D wires protruding from its base (2 x white wires). The only proper way to remove the O/D button is to CAREFULLY dis-assemble it from the rear, which allows you to disconnect the 2 white wires from the button. These can then be threaded VERY CAREFULLY back through the gearknob, which frees them up. At this point you are free to do what you want with the O/D wires and button. The connector must stay connected as it bridges connections used by the speed limiter and affects it when it's removed (cheap de-limit, but God knows what else it affects), but you can re-assemble the button itself, extend the wires and route them wherever you want. The big question on my mind though is... Why? The button is fine where it is?
  8. I have a set (front and side), but I don't think I've got holders, unfortunately.
  9. Fair enough - shouldn't be a problem to do. Cheers Chris.
  10. Tracy and I were both sitting in bed and laughed our heads off. He covered it well though and the News Room was amazimngly straight-faced when it cut back to them.
  11. Can you post a piccy of what you need, as I still have the Turbo bits from the engine I sold you and probably have one knocking around in there.
  12. You do remember my Supra don't you? Wouldn't the option given above of sliding the UK shields on by trimmng a section out work without having to remove the hubs? If it did then does the UK shield make a notable difference over the modified J-Spec, because if it's of little impact then I'll save the hassle and trim the J-Spec ones. (Enough hassle and expense inbound with replacing the suspension arms! )
  13. They were British Apaches down south for an exercise.
  14. And the fronts - I don't fancy trying to explain to Mr T what a dust shield is - I'd probably end up with anything from a hub to a brake disc! Thanks for the all the answers guys - I take it you'd need a press to get the hubs off? If so then grinding the UK shields to get them on seems the better option!
  15. I'm in the middle of refurbing a full set of UK brakes prior to swapping them with my existing J-specs. I know you can either cut or remove the existing J-Spec front dust shields, but I was wondering if it's just as simple to fit UK dust shields instead, as I'd prefer to use the right kit from the outset rather than angle grinding the old. Is this a case of unbolting old and attaching new, or is it more involved than that. Also does anyone know of any UK ones that are available?
  16. Nah sorry mate - I couldn't fit 5 camels in a soundproofed cellar, you know how it is.
  17. :secret:You want older baby? I got lotsa older babies in stock - all ages! Any colour you want. Very good condition. Tell me what you wan' pay an' I put BIN ad on E-Bay - quick quick!
  18. What - the baby had his own E-Bay account? They do grow up so fast these days don't they! If you meant in terms of the results of taking the kid into care then that's exactly why I think it was a total over-reaction by the authorities, as it scares the kid witless and all because of what? A badly thought-out spoof E-Bay ad? Sense of proportion anyone?
  19. No, but they do a nice line in snake oil and Yeti burgers.
  20. As above really, both in good condion and working. Any offers? Payment preferably by Paypal, but cheque is ok too. I can also post pictures if needed.
  21. Agreed - it seems to have been posted more in the same spirit as the bloke who offered his wife up for sale, as opposed to people trafficking.
  22. The spines are barbed, so it's probably something you'd have to do at a Vets rather than yourself with a pair of pliers to avoid more damage.
