  1. Thanks guys for all of the advice. A lot of it makes sense and all suggestions have been noted lol Think I'll have a word with the GF along the lines of, if she says something when I'm there just give me the nod and I'll say something back. I dont want to have a go but maybe point a few things out to her that she seems to have forgotten, namely that she is a mum and to act like one. Stop trying to act like a teenage "best friend". Both of them suffer from "it's my way or the highway" way of looking at things, so I guess I'll sit back and act if needed.
  2. Could work! I'd get the day off! lol
  3. Good point. I get on really well with her dad and her mums BF. Without delving too much into it her mum cheated on her dad for about 6 years with the guy her mum is seeing at the moment. The rest of the family only think they have been together since her mum and dad split but the GF has known the whole time and has been told by her mother to keep it quiet. GF and her mum fell out a few years ago, resulting in my GF moving out at 18. Her mum then did her best to turn her side of the family against her. GF kept quite about her mothers affair and just took the grief because "she's my mum". Now I know that you only get one mother and at the end of the day family is family, but I really feel something needs to be done here.
  4. Been about 6 months and the GF was in tears about it. I've actually heard some of the stuff her mum has said to her and not a fan once you here the whole "Having you ruined my life" and "I i wish it was just me and your sister"
  5. Ewww why would anyone buy their mum sexy underwear? lol Mind you if she did her mum is "a size" I've told the GF to take back the presents, get a refund, go to Asda and buy her mum a Mars Bar!
  6. OK guys gonna pick your brains for this dilemma. My girlfirends mother is a "questionable" character shall we say, but this really takes the michael! She went on holiday recently (didn't tell my GF she was going until she was at the airport about to leave) and was due to come back a few days before her birthday (today). So my GF decides to get her some birthday presents, think she spent about £20-£30. GF doesnt have much money to spare what with recently moving so this was quite a lot for her to spend on presents. She rings her mum on Monday to ask her if she'd like to come over for a birthday meal. Got told "No I'm expecting my boyfriend to take me out", which is fair enough. Then the GF asks about which day would be best to take her presents over an is told "Take them back and get your money back, I don't want them cos I bought some perfume for £40 on holiday, you can give me the money for it" I thought this was a bit out of order, but my GF decided to take the presents over anyway as she thought her mum would like them, explained that she couldn't afford to give her mum the £40 for the perfume and was simply told "I dont want them, take them back, get a refund and get me something else" I'm really unsure as to whether to stay out of this or get involved. Personally I think her mum is being an ungrateful b*tch and acting more like a brattish teenager rather than a parent.
  7. I've seen this lambo hooning around the sidestreets at stupid MPH, guy drove it like a total nutter. Laughed so much when I heard the news, like to think the car committed suicide rather then be driven by a doink
  8. I dont mind them, as long as they stick to plastis bottles lol Remember a few years ago in the bottle fight before Metallica @ Download, someone was throwing those huge gallon bottles filled with rocks. That wasn't fun!
  9. That looked a lot of fun. Unfortunately I got dragged to see Slipknot by the Mrs, although managed to sneak off and Watch Prodigy when she went for a mosh!
  10. Yep, all done. Didnt get the message but have pm'ed all the info you asked for. Thanks.
  11. I've had a word and they are looking into it. Got plans to spend my lunch hour ringing round both insurance companies to find out what exactly is going on. They offered me a reduced premium, but still with only 1 years NCB!
  12. Having a bit of an issue with my renewal price too. Get the letter quoting me an extra £400 than I paid last year, and am told that I have lost my NCB!?! Turns out that when someone crashed into my car back in January, as far as the insuruers are concerned the claim has not been settled. The third party admitted guilt, I have been refunded my excess by the third parties insurance and reassured by both them and Sky that this will not affect my NCB. Now renewal time is here and it seems neither company has bothered to resolve this and I'm only being offered 1 years NCB instead of the 4 I am entitled too! Not happy at all!
  13. Lawnmower Deth and Steel Panther brought some decent banter for me! As for Manson, that guy really needs to lay off the coke. Saw him a few years back at Wembley Arena and he was awesome, but both times he's played download have been a waste of time. Anyone get attacked by wasps on the 2nd stage?
  14. Nice looking bodykit, didnt get too good a look as was walking back from Faith No More.
  15. I remember my public law lecturer telling me that if everyone who decided not to vote simply turned up and wrote "I have no confidence in the above named parties" therefore spoiling the ballot paper, that would have more implications on the government than people just choosing not to vote. Believe the theory goes along the lines of a protest vote, which has some kind of implication, just can't remember what it was.....
  16. Really looking forward to seeing Volbeat, just hope they don't clash with Journey lol
  17. I'm going but didnt fancy camping (or rather leaving the Supra in the campsite car park) so staying at the Holiday Inn near the airport! Not exactly festival spirit but meh lol
  18. Sundays are good for me too. Surprised there haven't been many meets in P'boro, its a fairly car friendly city with all the parkways etc...
  19. I need an undertray too, think they're about £200 from Toyota, which is a bit pricey in my view! Think there was someone on here that made them from metal.....
  20. Yeah thats what I thought. Just need to find someone to carry out the work for me. Heard there's a guy at AFR Tuning that does it cheaper than most garages!
  21. I live in Peterborough so yeah would be cool to have a local meet! Don't mind taking you out for a blast in mine on the parkways either!
  22. Guy must be a legend at barbecues....
  23. Going off on a slight tangent, has anyone had any dealings with http://www.fensport.co.uk and any of the hybrids they sell?
