Since I got Vista on my new pc's everyone I've spoken to (and that's a lot as I've had so many issues with it ) says turn the automatic updates off. Basically Microsoft seemed to be releasing updates before they worked correctly (and I had tried to install a few of these and had problems) and then recalling them (or releasing an update to fix the update) when they realised they were problematic by which time the auto update had done it's work and buggered people up. I was advised to only download updates after they had been available for a week or so so any bugs could be found by others (). I was also told when Microsoft released updates so I could time my manual update correctly. Can't remember this atm but I'll try to find it out.

I love my job and wouldn't change it but there's still bits I don't enjoy doing. I reckon that's true for anything you do day in day out - so in answer to your question 'yes and no' but often there's more 'yes' than 'no'!!!

The first bungy jump I did was a butt clenching moment. On the video I look fine until I have to let go just before I jump and my face just drops. Classic moment to watch back now! 1st time I lost the back end of a car was pretty pant changing too as I hadn't a clue what to do!

Not sure about your model but my Kenwood DNX7200 completely tripped out when I fast charged the battery one day. I took it in to the local ICE shop and they had the whole thing out, no fuses blown, so they just reset it somehow (not sure but I think they said they just left it on the bench for about 1 hr!) and re-fitted it. All the presets were lost but it was working fine. They did suggest that maybe it had freaked out if the fast charger surged the power too much and that I should put the side lights on if I ever disconnect the battery or anything so the lights take the surge and not the (more expensive) stereo. I haven't tried that yet but has anyone else?

Spoke to an accountant friend at the weekend who is up on all things like car tax too and he is adamant that the emissions on the V5 is irrelevant and the tax is only based on the year of manufacture. I told him what a lot of people had posted on this forum and that they've spoken to DVLA etc but he's still certain.

V. clean, stock looking red supe just turning in to Kidlington Sainsburys on Fri early eve. I waved but I think the driver was paying attention to the turn and not me!!
