  1. Umm, if she was so up herself and posh what's she doing in Morrisons? Surely she should be at Sainsburys?
  2. Depreciation sucks and the current market makes it even harder. Private sale or through dealers. A friend of mine bought a Cayman about a year ago and has just sold it for £11k less! Also there's an Audi garage near me that's had an R8 on the forecourt for about 6 months. It started at £80k and has been dropped in price every month or so. It's finally gone and the last price I saw on it was £60k. I wonder what the buyer managed to negotiate off that as well!
  3. Custom cursors, including Supra, available for Tom Tom sat nav. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-custom-cursors.php
  4. Having just bought a house I know a little about this as my solicitor flagged it up. Apparently this is a really old law that says if a church needs repairing it can ask all the houses in the parish to chip in. Obviously if there's loads of houses it wouldn't work out very much each but my solicitor told me there was a case fairly recently (in the last 11 years since I last bought a house and wasn't told about it then!) where there was 1 house in the 'parish' (I think it was a country estate or something) and it cost them loads of money and they went bankrupt. Since then solicitors have been flagging it up as a potential problem should the church claim. However, my solicitor went to a training course are there were loads of church lawyers there too so she asked them about it and, apparently, they said "off the record it's not economical for us to pursue this sort of claim from every house". Obviously, as you've been told, you can get insurance to cover you against potential claims from the church but we decided not to bother as it's just another cost to house moving and the chance of being stung were small and there's lots of houses in my parish so the cost would be split pretty small should it ever be pursued. I'm not sure about the property not being saleable in the future - that sounds a bit iffy to me - and you must get as much info as you can before you make your own mind up (I'm not a lawyer!) but from my experience I'm not bothered about it.

    Hks ssqv

Yup, got mine from Nik. Good price and came with full kit to fit easily. I did it and I'm definitely no mechanic!
  6. Umm, thought I'd seen something like these before. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-Gas-Hood-Dampers-Shock-Lifts-Lifters-SET_W0QQitemZ380104596482QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item380104596482&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 Bit cheaper too and already proven for a Supra.

    Scam Email.

Just a crap twist on the bank scam emails really. The language/grammar is a total giveaway along with what must be the only solicitor in the world who gives a Hotmail email account as his work email!!

    Goodwin Pension

The guy has a legally binding contract that has been examined and holds up. I think it's totally obscene - don't get me wrong - and I wish there was a way of not allowing him to take it (and probably many other fat bankers who will not only 'retire' but take up another very well paid job somewhere else). However, as previously stated, whoever set up the contract needs examining first. If I was in Fred the Shred's position I'd probably say 'stuff off, it's in my contract too' - fair play for him negotiating such a good contract in the first place. Again I stress I think it's indefensible now though. The government, and by government I mean Harriet Harman on Sunday a.m. tv, now saying it's morally wrong and wrong in the eyes of the public and that's where the government steps in, is just plain stupid. If she's saying that legally binding contracts can be looked at by the government and potentially changed if they don't like them a very dangerous precedent will be set. I wonder if she took careful legal advice before making that statement? Can open - worms everywhere!!!
  10. When my supe was first imported the V5 said it was a Volvo S40! They got the reg right though! I just told them it was wrong and they corrected it no probs. Jurgen said mistakes are quite common - not sure if thats in general or just imports tho.
  11. The estate agent should have friendly solicitors they often work with so might be worth an enquiry there. Just get a few quotes and go from there. At least you don't have to worry about stamp duty. I've just moved and the government just basically said 'now sir, come over here, bend over and just take it like a man.' I was crying for days tho! The best deals only get offered to people with big deposits. 10% doesn't count as big. Look in the financial section of the sunday papers for the best deals or go through price comparison websites like http://www.moneysupermarket.com and get some tips from http://www.moneysavingexpert.com definitely.

    Ben nevis

I did Ben Nevis as the first one in the three peaks challenge so we did it in summer. Great walk up though. Very nice countryside. Took about 5 hours up and down - prob more in winter though! The memory that remains with me though is that you think you're at the top and then there's about another mile of rolling 'hills' until you're at the actual peak. This prob depends on which route up you take but was a bit demoralising at the time!

  21. Mine. Just moved to a village and have been snowed in for 4 of the 12 days I've lived here! Countryside rocks! However, trying to get anywhere in the supe is a nightmare. They don't grit round 'ere so back end sliding out all over the place. Can barely get up the drive in just a sprinkling of snow!
  22. Sunguard near Banbury did mine. I think it's changed owners since they did mine but the address is Jeff's Farm, Thorpe Rd., Chacombe, Banbury, Oxon, OX17 2EW. Tel 07904 114464. They did them while I waited. The guy who did mine has now retired I think but he had someone lined up to take over. If the new guy is as good as the old guy he'll do a top service.
