  1. Not meaning to be a complete dick here but you are openly admitting to offering these on a fairly regular basis which would require a hobbyist membership. A membership that I currently have for exactly the same type of work....... I write this post as I'm not the type of person to talk behind someones back and I also write it because there is an honesty and perhaps a naivety from you regarding how the trader/hobbyist/seller thing works on this particular forum. Please don't take my post as hostile, but please consider my stance on what's going on here. FWIW I'd happily take £500 coins off of anyone wanting lights with this modification done
  2. I've not driven the XK, but I've seen it...... that picture is VERY flattering. The F-Type, as said, is one of the most stunning cars on the road right now period. I may be a bit looks over utility here but I would never spend such money on something I expected to be able to go camping in. I could use my 4th car with the Chauffeur for that
  3. You will need to excuse my ignorance here when I stick my bit in...... I do not know the value being mentioned here as it's WAY outwith my means. I would only ask that you check the price of an F-Type as I would take one of those over an XKR and the C63 without question. Not sure if that's the sort of thing that you would look into, or if it's even in the ballpark figure, but I am in absolute AWE with the top end F-Type Coupe's.
  4. I'm not sure if there is any adjustment in it to be honest, I'm struggling to remember how it works I know you can adjust the throttle position sensor (I doubt it would be that but for the sake of a check that would be worth it too). The Toyota manual gives resistance values for the TPS sensor for definite.
  5. Have a read.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?328930-Android-Boxs Kodi is the software all these boxes run, it was previously called XBMC. Effectively everything that can be done with those boxes can be done with your firestick.
  6. Have you thought about installing Kodi on it? Could possibly unlock a lot of potential for you
  7. As above. Not sure how readily available they are in the UK market. I've asked for a quote on one from overseas. I'm guessing it's only manual cruise control cars that have them?
  8. The resistance value may have changed due to the voltage drop from the battery, and thus requiring to be reset. Once a car is fired up it takes less effort to keep it doing so, the IACV could still cause starting issues though. Adjusting it to open the flap a little more would make the difference IMO.
  9. Stick the multimeter to ohms and check that the idle control valve is set right.... I assume there is one?
  10. What cable did you use? Did you make sure that it was copper (OFC) and not aluminium coated copper (CCA)? FYI 0AWG OFC cable would cost you a mint.
  11. I can't see it being for each owner. The way I read it is that only the initial 5 years will be payable. After that there's no way of controling the sale value of a car to state that it's over 40k. These things must be set on facts, if the original purchase price was over 40K then there can be no doubt as to the following five years, after that point it's all speculation. So effectively, IMO at least, yes..... you can buy a big v12 petrol guzzler and only pay £140 tax once the car is 5 years old
  12. Is the S5 less than 40k new? If not, it would work out fairly pricey for the first 5 years. I welcome that change though. Low emission cars tear up the tarmac almost as much as Supra's do, probably more when you consider that most of us do a very small amount of miles in our cars by comparison. I was actually all for the pay per mile tax, as then you're paying in relation to how much of the road you are wearing out. Unfortunately it would likely be handled very poorly so it's probably for the best that it didn't happen.
  13. I can't see the pictures so I'm not sure which graph you are referring to but if it's the last one that one was TDI where it uses a hub dyno. They allow more initial load as I understand it which makes the result more comparible to the actual road. More load on the engine means more work which leads to boost coming on earlier
  14. That's some brilliant data that, great information. Would be good if you got a chance to do a power run on SRR so that all the power runs can be from the same dyno (no 2 read the same unfortunately). Brilliant work
  15. As above... when that goes it's goodnight Vienna for everything. If you can get your car to run at all then it's definitely not the fuse.
  16. I've always wondered about the complexity of that level of racing. Is there any actual skill involved? The reason I ask is everything is over so quickly that there's not really a chance to do anything other than hold on

    Alrite People

Sounds like you need to top up the brake fluid. Welcome
  18. As above, with that setup I would ditch the indicators & sidelights.
  19. That may well be the case but I don't think MVP are going to go out their way to make it happen. Would save so much hassle knowing how the payment was made to begin with rather than just guessing to begin with though
  20. It's very important as they MUST refund the money via the method you paid or it will be seen as fraud.
  21. Are you sure you didn't use Paypal though? Have you actually traced which card you used? Getting a refund to a card is very straightforward.
  22. Parts such as this are rarely covered by insurance, I couldn't find anything that would even fully cover headlights. Went with a risk it approach I'm afraid. You could try shiply, it's usually independent couriers that bid for your custom so you may be able to have some sort of pre-requisite in writing.
  23. Fit perfect but be VERY careful, they break so easily!
  24. Simply from your quotes alone you can see the confusion in this whole debacle. From what I read he wasn't sure how he paid, he knows he paid through the website but doesn't know if it was via paypal or via card. To that end he has contacted Paypal asking them to look into it to which the response was that they couldn't find the transaction. That alone is mental to me, to not know how you paid over $1000 to someone is just mind boggling. Find out what was paid, how it was paid and when it was paid. Submit that information to MVP. If it was indeed a credit card, contact the credit card company and make them aware of the situation. If it was Paypal, ask for a refund via the system and let MVP know that you are willing to accept. I genuinely believe there's a language barrier here as MVP seem to be under the impression that it was paid via Paypal whereas you do not, and your conversation with Paypal, if understood correctly, would agree. Get the facts straight then take it from there. The he said/she said stuff is irrelevant at this moment in time.
